View Full Details of Sevacare Hall GreenI’ve been discharged from the hospital to this company. The care staff do not introduce themselves to me, there are few one or two who are pleasant the majority just want to do the care as quickly as possible with little to no conversation. I’m fairly young but the carers want to get ready for bed at 6pm, I feel I have no social life. My bins are left overflowing and they leave a mess without cleaning up after themselves. The worst care company I have ever had.
This is the second time we have had to encounter Sevacare, with my mom's health getting worse she now needs around the clock care. My mom was put to bed between 18.00 & 19.00 hrs almost every day and left in bed until approx 11 am the next morning even though she has moisture sores. As mom is unable to walk she has a stand aid that is supposed to be utilised by the carers to keep them and mom safe while moving around. On occasions instead of using this they lift my mom in and out of bed causing her pain, which is totally unacceptable. They have given her out of date food to eat, gave shredded wheat for lunch and a few cocktail sausages for her evening meal even though there are meals in the fridge. I find with most of the carers there is no compassion or empathy. Don’t get me wrong there are some good carers. But hopefully, I won’t be using this company again.
I am referring to the experience we have encountered from the Hall Green office in Birmingham. The lady who works in the office, I found to be extremely rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, no empathy or compassion when dealing with service users or their families. She is not on the service users agenda at all. When her staff are late for a call they count it as the next call hence missing a call to a service user that lives on her own and bed bound. My mother was left for nine hours in faeces because the two carers declined to change her because she was on a recliner chair and she was on there awaiting her bed to be repaired. They send staff out that don't like dogs for which all of the staff don't like dogs. Some staff declined to do a call due to the dog. Please anyone thinking of going with Sevacare do your research, meet the manager and the staff and you won't use them once you have. We have had the worst experience ever with them.
I would just like to say thank you to the manager and his team attending to my husband with palliative care, and I could not wish for anyone better. They are compassionate, very caring, and made my husband is very comfortable with everything they do. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the district nurses. I am so thankful to the manager and the team at this time. Thank you so much for all your care and compassion.
Only had these a few days but the male carer that has been looking after my brother is excellent, nothing is to much trouble. He made him a sausage sandwich and warmed his stew in the microwave. He’s been with the company 15 years, he’s lovely and friendly.
Sevacare was the company used by NHS after first being released from the hospital. I can only say how lovely the carers were and did their best to provide a great service for my 93-year-old aunt after she was released from the hospital after a stroke. A big thank you to all those ladies involved in her aftercare. Definitely would recommend.
My Mother is currently receiving care from Sevacare (Hall Green). The office staff have always gone the extra mile to solve my queries. The care staff have put in excellent effort to ensure my mother is cared for to an exceptionally high standard. Whilst I was away on holiday I was at great ease because I had full faith in the care staff as they always go above and beyond for my Mother. The management at Sevacare takes great care in ensuring the standard of care is being continued through phone monitorings and home visits.
Carers themselves are good but not trained well enough to handle the different aspects of dementia. Office unable to communicate and therefore get too many things wrong. Answer the phone and then totally disregard the discussion.
