View Full Details of Choice CareI have had Choice Care since about September, they are great for me. Keeps my independence and dignity. They are helpful, I have three children with additional needs, they help with my bedding too. Someone is available to speak to when needed, thank you so much.
Not for the first time has my mother been given the wrong medication by the same carer. This happened again yesterday, 31.1.23, when mum was administered her night-time medication (which includes sleep aids) as the morning medication. How hard can it be to administer medications that are blister packed and clearly marked for the time of day? We, as a family have recently taken time, money, and not to mention severe emotional hardship with making the hard decision to rehabilitate mum for sleeping and eating issues, which took 6 weeks and a lot of tears for her to be able to sleep at night and remain awake during the day. This carer is still employed by yourselves and is a liability to your company. You should do the right thing for your company and your clients, and remove this 'liability' rather than slap their hands again.
Mum has excellent carers. Choice Care has provided a regular group of carers, all understand Mum's needs and ensure she is always well looked after and safe. Without such support, Mum would be isolated and alone. I cannot fault the care she receives and am extremely grateful.
Some good experience. The ladies, in most instances, do what is asked of them. Sometimes we have communication difficulties.
Some carers can't get out of the house fast enough. Some can't boil an egg. I tell them how to do it. The carers that come vary in their devotion to the job. Also, the times they come is always changing, e.g. my breakfast can be 7:45 am, 8 am or 8:30 am and the same as tea time, it could be 4 pm - 4:30 pm or 5 pm. This in my experience isn't good.
Overall, the care is good, the management doesn't seem to pass messages on when something occurs, yet informed the persons left the employment which is rather agitating. Not a shower for six months, only a bed bath, awaiting assessment.
In general, the carers are very helpful and nearly always ask if there is anything else they can do.
After using this service for 5 months I am very satisfied with the care provided. Most of the carers are very helpful and cheerful and willing to help in any way.
The visiting carers have been brilliant, very caring and excellent with my son. The only problem that has ever occurred was when I had a constant change of carers and my 2-year-old son became distressed. They addressed this and I now have one regular carer.
The main carers you presently assigned to me being all are giving me the best care I could have asked for. All being that my legs have never looked or felt better in a very long time. I would like to say especially that my morning carer makes my day as she comes in so full of life and makes you feel that she really does care for the person . She is not shy and comes across as a very open minded person. The other girls are almost the same as her except I see her first thing everyday she is on duty. THANK YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
