View Full Details of Somerset Care Community ServicesAll staff including managers extremely pleasant and helpful, efficient, honest, well mannered. We look forward to seeing them each day and they like coming to us.
I am very grateful for all the help that your team provided when I came out of hospital. All the team were friendly and very helpful. Thank you.
We only had a small amount of care, but it was very helpful. It seemed to end very abruptly with not an explanation why.
I can only speak highly of the care received. Everyone was kind, helpful, professional and thoughtful. My mum was treated as an individual and her needs were perfectly met. As a daughter, I was well informed and, because of the quality of care, it was like a weight disappearing from my shoulders, whilst knowing Mum was in the care of an experienced, kind, helpful and compassionate team. Thank you.
Very impressed with the standard of care provided. All carers take great consideration of clients' needs, carried out with respect, efficiency and friendliness. Much appreciated by the client. Also very helpful to her relatives in knowing the client is receiving such care, with good communications about her well-being.
This service did not work well. My mother was classed fit for discharge from hospital to her home. The time she was home was awful, she had nightmares and confusion and despite several carers I still found her, in tears, wandering the street - she was readmitted to hospital. Despite this she was again discharged and the outcome was the same. She is now being assessed in a care home. I have to say I found the carers very good - my mother was just too much to cope with.
I was discharged under the D2A scheme from hospital following surgery for my left hip and wrist. The scheme worked very well for me, enabling an earlier hospital discharge as safely as possible. All the staff were helpful and encouraging me to be as independent as possible. My only negative would be that on discharge there was no immediate community physiotherapy input to further help recovery.
The keyword has been care - every member of the team assisting my mother since her discharge from the hospital has been exemplary. Their diligence and friendly care in assisting here rehabilitation could not be faulted. Maintaining her dignity whilst attending to her daily needs and requirements in her own home has been professional but personal and caring. I could not recommend this service any higher. They have pride in their work and care for the individual, whatever their needs. Couldn't have managed without them. Thank you.
We are very happy with Somerset Care. They have looked after us extremely well, with love and kindness. They are a great team and work very well together. We always look forward to seeing them and are sad when we have to let them go!
She was extremely satisfied with the kindness and compassion that the team operated. She was dealt with care and patience each visit and treated with the greatest respect, and in turn, she responded to all that was required of her.
The care provided was excellent, person-centred and thorough. Staff were reliable, kind and professional. I would like to pass on particular praise to one member of staff who went above and beyond to reassure and support me in addition to the client. Another member of staff was amazing too. Thank you both.
Only real criticism we have is not being notified if there is a substantial change in the time of the visit. A few minutes here or there is no problem, but if the scheduled time has been changed by more than 1/2 hour, it would be useful to be notified!
From the moment the carers walked through our door, my mum was treated with compassion, kindness and care. We, as a family, will be eternally grateful to all the carers. My mum was a very private lady, and the carers made her feel at ease and looked after her with dignity at such a stressful time with her illness. I know my mum great very fond of the carers, as did we, as a family. They, along with the nurses that walked through our door, were angels from above. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I have appreciated having care twice weekly for quite some time due to my incapacity. I have been waiting for a hip replacement operation for four years and my mobility has sadly suffered. I have had a number of falls over the past 2/3 years and have been hospitalised as a result of these. This means I need help with some personal care, so I rely on Somerset Care. I also enjoy meeting the care team and having a chat as well as the care they give me.
I first had visits from Somerset Care when my late husband became ill until he died in 2014. Four months later, in April 2015, I had a stroke, when I came out of the hospital, Somerset Care was there to help me, and I have been with them ever since. I have always found the carers most kind, thoughtful and willing to help. I look forward to their visits.
My mother is very well cared for by all your staff. She is always very happy to see them and enjoys their little talks.
Always helpful and polite. Also, we have dealt with problems with the care package. They listened to our concerns and acted on them. We couldn't ask for any better service.
I am satisfied with the help and assistance I receive. They are very friendly and helpful, particularly with any problems I have.
All the carers are professional, kind, considerate and helpful. They have, in fact, become friends. Occasional problems arise when there are not enough carers available in the area due to a variety of reasons hence the carers that are available are often stressed and stretched to their limits.
On the whole, I'm very happy with the care provided by Somerset Care Community Services. On a few occasions, the carers have arrived later than arranged so I go on and tend to myself as I don't like to stay in my night clothes after 8.30 am. Apart from that, I'm very content with the carers and the care that I receive.
