View Full Details of Mears Care Ltd (Bristol)This is specifically related to lockdown measures and procedures. Please contact me for more details. Witnessing a number of different care team members not wearing sufficient PPE when collecting and delivering lunch. I have found the managers way of dealing with lockdown very difficult to understand. I know the safety of the resident and staff is paramount, however, so is the mental health of the resident.
I have been here since it opened 13 years ago. I am very happy here, staff are very caring, kind and helpful. Timing and changes can be a bit frustrating, but age of residents and shortage, at times, of staff can cause problems. Everyone has coped cheerfully and pleasantly during COVID restrictions.
All carers are marvellous. I myself have my bad moments, but with everyone's help, I am out of it. I like doing the garden, it is a joy. This is my 8th year and I am so glad to be here. Keep smiling.
Over the 6 years, I have found the care and support very good. The food is good most of the time. Over the last 6 months, it's been difficult for carers and clients especially without mixing, very hard for both but had to be done. Most of the carers are very kind and thoughtful.
I have been a resident for six very happy years. It is my home (my flat). Ups and downs of course, in hospital and out. I have always been treated like a queen. No holes barred. I do tell many of the other residents how lucky we are to be in here. We see many singers. musicians. Where would we see that anywhere else? If only they appreciate a smile or even laugh!
Mears staff team are excellent at their job although, they get some problems now and then, they are sorted out promptly. They are a caring team and take the time to have a chat now and then if they are not too busy.
