Have had experience of several agencies both through caring for three elderly relationships over time, latest being Mum. Tendacare looked after Mum brilliantly until care stopped when she went into hospital after a fall early December. It's a great regret to us that Mum's financial position and need to double care following hospitalisation, means that we have had to look for cheaper domiciliary service. We will miss the heart, care and expertise from the Tendacare team from admin through to front-end. No hesitation in saying to potential new users: 'start with Tendacare!'.

Tendacare looked after my Grandmother for a number of years, initially they provided assistance with bathing and, as she grew older and frailer, their visits gradually increased to twice a day helping with food, drinks, medication and some company. All of the staff were very well-trained, friendly and caring, my Grandmother appreciated their visits and it gave us peace of mind. Tendacare's communication was excellent from both staff and management, especially since the introduction of their app which provides details of their visits straight away. They clearly did a good job as they enabled my Grandmother to live on her own past the age of 100, we couldn't be more grateful for all their help and advice and would happily recommend them to friends.

We were recommended Tendacare and we are so happy we used them. Mum has only had good words to say about you. The carers coming out were always kind, courteous, and respectful and couldn't do enough to help. The staff in the office were always helpful changing days and times. Always letting Mum know if carers were unable to get to her on time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and use it again if needed. Thank you to all the staff!

The staff of Tendacare were all lovely with my mum. They made her feel very comfortable in the situation she found herself in. The carers made the family happy to know that Mum was being looked after, so she could stay in her own home. We were kept informed if there were any problems with Mum's health and always helped if we had any worries. As a family we were really happy that we chose Tendacare. Thank you.

I am a carer for my husband. I was going into hospital for surgery. Tendacare were extremely adaptable to our changing needs. They were able to help us on each step of this journey. We really appreciated their respect and great attention to detail. They were willing to help with all we asked. It was our first contact with care in our home. Very professional, staff friendly and my father got great care from every member of staff. He enjoyed chatting to the staff and they always put him at ease. They visited 3x daily all were well trained and nothing was too much trouble, I would recommend Tendacare to family and friends.

Carers came at the agreed time. Mum was happy with the care she received – she is very independent and just asked for small tasks to be done and then just had a chat. Very grateful to Tendacare as for her to come home from the hospital it was a stipulation that she had carers. Would happily use again. Thank you.

My mum has mixed dementia, we had a carer every morning and evening from Tendacare. All staff were really good with mum, kind and patient. However, the lady that came every morning didn't seem to understand that because mum has dementia she would often take off her pads at night. Instead, she made accusations to my siblings claiming I left my mum in wet soiled clothes when I did not. Despite me asking Tendacare not to have contact with my siblings the accusations continued causing a rift between me and my siblings. Mum is now in a care home leaving my 83-year-old dad heartbroken. Tendacare does an excellent job of care but management needs to be mindful of the communications their staff have with family members. While I accept they have a duty of care serious consideration needs to be made before making accusations. I am disappointed that the carer didn't feel able to speak to me instead of assuming things.

I am delighted to recommend Tendacare, the carers who visited to help my parents were friendly, helpful and yes, caring! The company is local to me and was easy to contact and visits were on time and exactly as requested. Excellent service, thank you!

I used Tendacare for the first time after my mum died as we needed a couple of hours care a day for my dad and the agency that looked after my mum had no availability so I looked locally at alternative providers. Now I really wish we'd used Tendacare for Mum's care as well. The team were amazing, they conducted the initial house visit assessment, they listened carefully to my dad, spoke to him rather than me and ensured he was comfortable with the support. He had a core team of 3 carers and got to know them all well, they accepted his quirky-ness and the rigidity of his daily routine without batting an eyelid. Towards the end of his life when we required additional support this was provided at short notice. We had access to an app which was updated promptly after each visit so we could see what had been needed. The team were truly outstanding and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The carer's timekeeping is very good. They are always pleasant, friendly and good at listening. They ask if I want any extra help. I feel clean, refreshed and tidy after their visits. I am satisfied with the office contact if anything changes.

I turned to Tendacare when my wife became chronically ill because they had attended to my neighbour for many years and she spoke highly of their care reliability and professionalism. I did not regret my decision. The staff were always friendly, cheerful, caring and knew their job. They always told my wife what they were going to do and also kept me in the loop. They never seemed to be rushed. They had time for us both. Communication was also good with the office. I have nothing but praise for Tendacare and wish them well. A carer and staff member both came to her funeral. So kind and so thoughtful.

Many thanks to Tendacare. Outstanding on every level. Each and every carer brings their love and devotion to the client (my mum) and brings their character too. Offering a warm and friendly atmosphere. Each one is unique and special. We are so lucky that our mother was so very well cared for and happy, especially in her last days. She loved all the carers that came. They were very professional and skilled. They always went to extra mile.

Tendacare came to visit my mum for over three years. The carers were always totally professional whilst being friendly, caring and upbeat even when Mum was very unwell. Mum used to look forward to the carers coming as they were always cheerful, and she knew they would think of the little things that were important to her, ensuring that she could be herself and always making sure she was treated with empathy & dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tendacare to anyone needing carers for themselves, a family member or a friend. Thank you for everything you did for Mum.

Tendacare started looking after my mother in January 2016 after she had suffered a small stroke. She remained happily in her home until July 2022 when she unfortunately fell and broke her shoulder. After a short spell in hospital she has now moved to a Nursing home at the age of 93. During the seven and a half years that Tendacare looked after her, I was extremely confident that she was well cared for. If they had any concerns they would contact me. Their team was always cheerful and my mother very much looked forward to their visits. Sometimes there were periods when she needed a lunchtime carer too, for example after a hospital procedure and although they require notice, they were very accommodating and flexible with their attendance. I have no hesitation in recommending them. My greatest thanks go to Tendacare who made it possible for her to stay in the home she loved for so long.

Different assistants often used but all were prompt, courteous, assistive and personally pleasant. Washing and dressing routines were made easy by the help given. Booking appointments arrangements were occasionally insecure. Original introduction visit by office senior, fully explanatory and inspired confidence that the service would be good - and so it transpired. Recommendations of Tendacare by friends proved accurate I am pleased to say.

My wife and I are well pleased with Tendacare. The carers are competent and have been very helpful in arranging for her to start walking again. They have kept all appointments and although a small number have been late, these have been difficult times. We are certainly happy to recommend them.

I requested Tendacare carers for my 91-year-old mother to help her in recovery from a major operation in hospital. The ladies have been a great back-up to my caring. I have found every aspect fantastic, from the initial introduction to Tendacare, how they work, what the ladies are happy to do and looking after my Mum. They have cared for Mum how I am caring for her, from ensuring her medication is taken, preparing light lunches and snacks to even putting the washing out. Probably the most important thing to me is they have made time to have a chat, sometimes a quick coffee. Their paperwork is also highly organised and thorough. A very professional caring company. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.
