View Full Details of Crossroads Tendring & ColchesterCrossroads have been helping my mum with her personal care for many years and are fantastic! Our normal carer is wonderful, we couldn't ask for anyone better or more professional. Great job from everyone at Crossroads.
We having been having a companion for my husband for just over a year which enables me to play bowls on a Friday, we always have the same ladies (at our request) my husband gets on so well with her and she has become a good family friend. The service provided is lovely although not without some teething issues.
We are very pleased with the care staff who attend to my wife's needs. My only problem as far as I am concerned is that 14 days notice is required. This under normal conditions may be ok, in my case the activity I use as a break is is variable times and dates as certain times of the season/year/month.
Crossroads Tendring & Colchester arranges for a carer to sit with my husband for 3 hours per week. The carer is consistently the same person who has built up a good relationship with my husband and encourages him to do the things he enjoys. I can take a break knowing that my husband is in safe hands.
The companion that comes is lovely. We are both always pleased to see her. She is friendly, caring, easy to talk to and professional. Always arrives on time. Care plan always completed with details of the visit. Office staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend this companion service.
A much appreciated service. Friendly carer who has a good relationship with my mother. Uses initiative to carry out tasks and is very helpful. Good time keeping.
The member of staff allocated to us fits in very well with both of us.
I went out with my support as usual today. She pushed me in the ambulance chair. We had a coffee and a walk along the seafront. My support is the same as she always is warm, and friendly, lovely attitude and is a pleasure to spend time with. She is an asset to the company.
We have been receiving care and support from Crossroads Tendring and Colchester for approximately the past 3+ years and I cannot praise them highly enough. The service we receive is excellent both with regard to our carer and the office-based staff. We have had the same carer for virtually the whole time and she is the most caring, friendly person you could wish to meet, whilst always remaining professional. Always been on time, can't ever remember her being late, nothing is too much trouble, will always discuss with my husband what he wants to do, sit in the garden, watch TV, take a trip out, or just simply sit and natter. This lady is of enormous support to me too; always ready to listen and offer her advice and friendship should I need it. I would recommend this service without any hesitation to anyone and everyone.
From the outset Crossroads have been extremely accommodating and supportive. My aunt had only experienced NHS arranged (and funded) home help support. They came randomly throughout the day, with attendance windows of 7-10am or 6-9pm which meant she was awake and expecting support sometime in the new few hours which exacerbates anxiety and means there is no real routine. Crossroad team attend on time and are happy to stay the full allocation, not wanting to rush off as have a long list of people to get to. My aunt has repeatedly commented how wonderful the ladies are who attend, how accommodating and patient. She has 4 visits a week and has been able to amend the attendance periods and alter timings to assist with accompanied shopping visits or hospital appts. My engagements when setting it up, being present for the initial home assessment and when paying the invoices; they are thorough and clearly prioritise their clients. It has been an ease, even a pleasure!
My family have been using Crossroads for a few years now and could not manage without them, they are highly professional with great caring staff who we feel treat my mum like one of their own family, I just wish they were available weekends and bank holidays as I would give them more work time, with using Crossroads Clacton my mum is receiving the best care we could give her.
Crossroads has consistently delivered a 1st class service supporting my mum with care and dignity; they are always very prompt and effective at responding to ad-hoc requests which has been a great help to me.
I have used the service for at least eight years. Crossroads has always made sure that I have the same carer who has become a trusted friend. In the event that she has time off for a holiday or a personal appointment, there is always a lovely lady to take her place. My carer does my shopping often with me in town and personal care. All the staff I have had dealings with are caring and can be trusted with personal information. I am paraplegic and incontinent. I would recommend Crossroads to anyone who needs kind and considerate care.
My wife was admitted to hospital after a serious fall. The care and support we have received since her discharge has been superb. We have been using Crossroads Tendring and Colchester since October 2016 and have increased from 4 hours a week, to 8, such is the trust we have in the care provided. Can not praise this company enough.
I always know the name of my carer and the time of service which I like and I get a choice of what to do and where we go.
