View Full Details of Choices Homecare (Bootle)Staff are very welcoming and friendly and supportive and understanding. And I feel safe and comfortable with the staff. My support worker is very funny and I look forward to seeing her. Warren Care are a great company, only been with them since 6th November 2023. Love my support worker she's a superstar.
My son's carer is always punctual. She is pleasant and understanding. She is willing to accommodate my son at short notice. She is approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
Very happy with the care, support and maintaining Mum's dignity. However, the early morning call is very late at 10:30 each day. Mum wants to attend a day centre as she wants the companionship, but although I have been asking for months even for just one morning, I am told there is no availability to accommodate this request. Disappointing as I know Mum would benefit very much from this. Happy to discuss.
We had one of your staff come to do a review for our son. This person promised us he would do everything possible to improve our situation and be contacting us within three weeks. When we heard nothing we contacted WarrenCare, we were told this person had left weeks before. First of all, I think such behaviour is disgusting and disgraceful and secondly why wasn't any of this checked at the time. I repeat, very good care workers, wish I could say the same for the confusion in the office.
The staff are excellent. Treated dad with dignity, and respect and are extremely friendly. Dad was very against carers but the main carers he has have made the transition extremely easy. He is now very comfortable and accepts the help. Two members of staff in particular have been a godsend in helping with dad's hygiene issues due to dementia, they have lifted a huge weight.
I find the home care service satisfactory and the carers pleasant and helpful.
All of your carers work above and beyond their requirements. They treat my father with respect, love and friendliness. My only reservation is the staff shortage, which needs addressing.
Generally happy with service provider, although there have been occasions in the past when they were unable to offer support through short staffing/staff absence, their communication over any changes has improved. Extremely satisfied with care worker who has developed a friendly, supportive yet professional relationship with service user and family.
Very happy with the service provided.
Words cannot express our gratitude for the exceptional care our mother received from all the Warren Care staff, who looked after her and made her as comfortable as possible, during what were sadly, the last weeks of her life. Also, the advice, kindness and support we, as a family, received was invaluable. Thank you all so much, you are very special and a credit to the caring profession.
Overall good. Cannot go to excellent as 1) a few occasions found commode had not been emptied. 2) Timekeeping tended to be haphazard and detrimental to Mother's care - on 4 hourly medication. A number of occasions, morning carer came e.g. 9.30. Lunch carer came 12.30. As 4 hours had not elapsed, no further medication given by carer in the diary. Result Mother in pain during the afternoon until teatime carer came. The final visit of the day came a few hours later and the same occurred. No medication for the night as 4 hours not elapsed. 3) One occasion I was there, tea time carer came. A young girl, probably early 20's. Mother asked for a sandwich and a cup of tea. Carer did not know how to make a simple sandwich. Actually made it myself!! Otherwise most carers excellent and caring. Pity let down as above.
Good staff, good service professional office and care staff. Friendly and reliable. Punctual / or will call to let you know. Understand the needs of the client. Always willing to help and listen.
On the whole, we are fairly satisfied with the service provided. However, there are some issues which need addressing. 1/ On three separate occasions a carer hasn't attended my mothers call - lunch, tea and bed. 2/ Sometimes she gets lunch and then two hours later she is expected to eat an evening meal. 3/ One of the carers makes my mum very jittery and anxious.
Satisfactory.
Great staff and service. Carers are pleasant and professional - always a pleasure to see them. Would prefer continuity of care if possible instead of a variety of carers. The regular carers know my routine and where to find what I need. Overall I'm grateful for the service. Thank you all very much.
Office staff tell lies (certain people) and cover up for each other. When care staff are sick or on holiday, the office staff never have a rota or skeleton staff to cover. I don't know how to cope at this time or situation. They are sometimes rude when it's their fault and they blame the care staff. When they are sweet to you on the phone, you know it's bad news or a problem has occurred. If this isn't sorted, you will lose staff (some you have had over the years) and all the excellent care staff just couldn't take the stress.
I am very pleased with the service provided and with the friendly manner of the girls giving the service.
The overall impression is that care workers are diligent and want to do a good job but that staff members are not enough to cover for sickness or other absence. Management seem to be keen to ensure a good service even under the pressure of resourcing. It would be helpful if there were a formal process for banking unused hours.
Unfortunately, since one staff member has left, there was no handover. The staff we have presently received have not been well trained in my son's needs. The staff are frequently late and haven't always informed me of the fact they were going to be late. They haven't been able to use the iPad for my son's communication needs which is essential.
My mother has used your service since March 2018. Throughout the past months, all the carers who have attended my mother have demonstrated a professional, caring and compassionate approach. Communication between the office and the client sometimes fails. For example, if a carer is running late/held up then the office should inform the client.
