"Excellent support from a company who really cares" We engaged the services of Bluebird Care for my elderly uncle in April 2021 when he was 89 years old. Sadly, he died in December 2024 but his dearest wish was always to remain in his own home and the wonderful care and support he received from the carers meant we were able to honour his wishes. The carers were professional at all times and extremely kind, going the 'extra mile' if necessary to ensure he was well looked after. If there was an issue, prompt communication with the office staff meant it was dealt with effectively. It was so clear to all the family that our dear Uncle was very happy and well cared for and he was extremely appreciative of all the help he received. At his funeral, it was lovely to see a number of carers attend to pay their respects to a man they called "their favourite". Special thanks to three members of staff, in particular, from the Redbridge office. You cared for our dear Uncle as if he was one of your own.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the two principal carers who look after my elderly stepmother who lives in Loughton. I want to give a big shout-out to a live-in carer who is amazing and looks after her as though she were her own mother. She is kind and caring and constantly seeing how she can make life interesting and comfortable for my stepmother. I would also like to mention another carer who comes in frequently at lunchtime to give my stepmother lunch (when the live-in carer is on her break). She is also very kind and caring and treats my stepmother as if she were a precious relative. I really appreciate her empathy and kindness.
Scrubbed with soap till raw. Back thumped (not washed). I have fractures. Care of property = stains on the carpet. Mud on bath matt. Water all over the wooden top to the hand basin. Staff sickness then me upset tummy?
Bluebird Care carers have given good care to our mother. They support her at home well, enabling her to remain in her own home. They've been very helpful when we've needed extra care at short notice.
Mum has received good care from her carers. They encourage her to do things herself. She feels very comfortable with them and enjoys their company. The carers always update me if she is not well. Thank you for the caring service. The carers are an asset to your company.
First-class service. They have been a great support to us over the last three years. They are more like family.
I am very happy with Bluebird Care. I have been with you for about four years now. The staff are very friendly and help me with daily needs.
Although the service provided is to a high standard, it is still very expensive when time for personal care was reduced from 1 hour - £32.95 to half an hour - £27, this is very unreasonable (50% plus something would be ok, say £20). Notice was given the day before on two occasions following a 1-night and subsequent 2-night stay in hospital, to save carers making a wasted journey. Discretion should always be used in these circumstances as it is impossible to give 28 days' notice ie minimum a reduced charge. One carer, in particular, was very extravagant with water, soap and washing up liquid, also time updating the app, all at the client's expense. I haven't won the lottery!
My father has had a few weeks in hospital after a complication from Covid. After these periods in hospital, his mobility, and more importantly, his confidence gets a knock, which compromises his wish to live independently in his own house. A friend recommended Bluebird Care and so far they have been excellent. The lead care supervisor, met us for an initial assessment and it was clear from that meeting that she grasped the situation accurately. Live-in care was recommended initially to give Dad the space to recover without feeling rushed, which gives him anxiety. The hospital discharge process was quite complex because Dad now needs home oxygen, but she was proactive and hugely supportive along the way. Dad was assigned a wonderful carer and he is now settled in with them. It's going very well and the carer is calmly solving issues that are popping up. Most importantly, Dad is happy. Thank you to the lead care supervisor, and the carer, for your kindness and patience. You are stars!
Have been using Bluebird Care for my mother for a few years, having 3 visits a day. Recently she had a fall during the night. I was amazed at the speed in which Bluebird arranged for a live-in carer for a week. Within 2 hours of phoning a live-in carer was arranged and moved in. This gave me peace of mind and was able to gauge her sleeping habits and arrange a more suitable care plan for her. Exceptional service and all the carers are professional and very caring. I don’t think I could find a better care company than Bluebird.
All carers most satisfactory and kind and helpful.
My mother is extremely happy with the care and attendance that she receives from her carers.
Bluebird care stepped in with help and reassurance at the point we needed it most. From the office staff advising on funding for palliative care, to the care team looking after Dad, I'm so grateful for the support they have offered the family at the most stressful time in our lives.
Bluebird Care have provided three visits per day to support my 94-year-old mother, who suffers from dementia. They ensure her medication is taken, provide food and drink and some company. Attendance times do change, but Bluebird Care have always turned up and stay for the agreed period.
My carer is very friendly and social. She creates an atmosphere of friendliness and optimism.
I have found my carer to be very supportive, willing and extremely kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for her she is great. She seems to read my mind and know exactly what I need. A great lady and very caring.
During the past few weeks, I have been very pleased with Bluebird carers - their uniform was always pristine. I like an early start to the day and I congratulate them on their time-keeping.
My elderly gentleman friend commenced care with Bluebird (South Woodford branch) 2 years ago. Initially, he had carers during the day and for the last 3 months, he had a live-in carer. The Company worked hard to ensure that the carers provided were a “match” for their client and kept the team to a minimum to best meet the client’s needs - even during the Pandemic. From the start, they worked with us and strived to ensure the client’s needs were met. The carers were on time for their visits, were courteous, interested in their client, provided quality care and were a pleasure to have in his home. Usually, we were informed of unexpected changes to the allocated carer and we understood that such an event could occur occasionally. On the rare occasion a problem arose, Management acted swiftly to address the issue - very pleasant people to deal with. My friend has recently died but he was so happy with his carers. Thank you.
I am most impressed with this organisation in terms of its professionalism, its assessment, control of its carers and training. Due to the temporary absence of both of my daughters, and in view of my physical disabilities, I reluctantly agreed to initially three carers a day, of one hour each at 11-12 am, 6-7 pm and 9-10 pm to assist me. A full assessment was made of my needs. After careful planning, the arrangement has been reduced to the midday session, and I have planned accordingly. I have always found them to be genuinely helpful and sensitive to my condition.
