View Full Details of Home Instead (Buckinghamshire South)Home Instead has looked after my 97-year-old father and I have been more than happy with them! Dad started having morning ladies come and get him up and give him breakfast, and recently has had them every evening to put him to bed. They have gone above and beyond on many occasions. As dad is in Buckinghamshire and I in Devon, it has not always been possible to get to dad when he's been sick. On one occasion he fell and was sick and I rang the office for help. None of the usual carers were around, but one of the office team went to be with him until my brother could get there. Another time, the evening carer arrived and I had a call at around 9 pm saying he was in bed in pain. I couldn't get to him and my brother was in Scotland. The carer stayed with him, liaised with us, called the paramedics and organised an overnight carer to come. To know that you can have that kind of support is exceptional. I cannot recommend this company and all the lovely staff enough.
When it was first suggested I had some help I was not sure but it was the best move I have ever made. The office, the girls are marvellous - ask and it is done! We have a laugh, a moan and to hear in the morning the doorbell, a cheery "good morning" makes me feel great. Thank you girls!
My mum was very happy with the level of care and support she received while needing support. The kindness, dignity and help she received was outstanding. One day, when the chiropodist visited, when the carer was there, he was very impressed with the level of care, he asked for your number to help with his mum. My mum is so much better since having your support team which is a good thing and built up a good relationship with her carer, always looking forward to her visit. Mum is so much better now, she doesn't need support anymore but she won't hesitate to use your company again if she needs support.
Home Instead provide a fantastic service to Dad, the carers are kind and understanding and supportive. At difficult times the team have provided care beyond expectation and have tried to accommodate all our care requests.
Have been with Home Instead since June 2024 for my mum to have some engagement and help with getting through the day. The managers are great and have made us feel safe and relaxed about their processes and the carers she has are lovely, kind, and caring and get her to do more than she believes she can! It's been a difficult journey for us but home instead are taking some of that stress and mental load. I would recommend them! Thank you HI from all of us.
Excellent care following the death of my wife. All the carers have been so helpful. It is difficult to say more at this point in time as I am grieving and life is difficult. However, the care I am receiving is excellent and I thank all staff
As my osteoarthritis worsened and it affected my shoulders, hips, spine and knee my ability to do the simplest chores in the home became an immense challenge. When I was faced with so many challenges I began to wonder how I could get the right type of assistance in the home. I did not just need a cleaner, I needed someone to change the sheets, do the ironing, put away laundry, and do the cleaning. Quite by chance, an advert appeared on social media setting out the tasks undertaken by Home Instead Care Provider. I instantly rang the number and arranged for a visit to explain the Service Home Instead could provide. I am immensely pleased to have this high-quality help in the house. My Care provider does the tasks with skill and precision and has made it possible for me to remain in my home. The assistance is invaluable and I can recommend Home Instead to anyone struggling with everyday tasks.
Home Instead provided continued excellent and individual care for my husband for a long period, prior to his death in May 2024. My husband suffered from Dementia and associated medical problems and needed complete nursing/personal care. The carers from Home Instead were all kind, efficient, thoughtful and professional. They were without exception always polite and punctual and also always kind and helpful to myself too.
Home Instead initially was engaged to give companionship and home support to my father but over time their involvement increased. They were able to provide continuity of personnel who responded with professionalism and sensitivity to his changing needs and in whose presence he felt comfortable and at ease.
A truly excellent service! Highly recommend! My 92-year-old mother lives with me and my husband, having her own self-contained apartment. She has mobility issues but is an independent lady with an active mind who loves to chat. We were going away for a week's holiday and needed overnight cover and someone to visit for an hour around lunchtime to organise lunch and dinner. As this was the first time we'd used the service, naturally there was some apprehension for both mum and us as to whether the arrangement would work. Our friendly Spaniel was also a consideration, walked by a neighbour but prone to escaping. We needn't have worried! The 3 care professionals who came in turn were respectful, kind and trustworthy. The dog loves anyone who'll give him belly rubs and Mum built up a rapport with each of the ladies saying 'they were all lovely'. It was very reassuring for us to know she was safe and happy and I think she was secretly a little sorry when we returned home!
I cannot speak highly enough of the first-class service provided by Home Instead. My wife has dementia, limited mobility, poor control of bowel and bladder and very reluctant to eat. Also, very stubborn and non-compliant. All the carers without exception have shown exceptional skill in carrying out their tasks. Endlessly patient, never confrontative, subtly persuasive, gentle and friendly and efficient. The positive way my wife responds is a testament to their skill. When caring tasks are complete, they will turn their hand to domestic jobs, washing, ironing, hoovering, anything. We feel totally supported. Nothing is too much trouble. Also very flexible regarding length of visits.
My mother was a client with Home Instead for more than 10 years. It started as a visit once a week just to provide regular companionship and a lift to the shops. This expanded to include help around the house and garden. As she grew older the care increased to include personal care so that she was able to end her days in her own home. She liked every carer introduced by Home Instead. The carers were always friendly, reliable and trustworthy. There was good supervision from the management team who communicated well throughout. They telephoned regularly for updates on Mum's care needs and in recent years increased the level of care as appropriate. I always felt Mum was safe in the hands of the carers.
Home Instead was contacted on the positive comments from known clients plus their excellent Homecare reviews. Home Instead were able to respond at short notice and implement a care plan which exactly met our requirements. The level of care provided by the carers was excellent and my aunt has been more than happy with the service. We were also impressed by the follow-up telephone checks to ensure the level of service was being provided - which it was. Communication from the management team has also been extremely good from the very first call. Would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead for its caring staff and level of service.
I chose Home Instead to care for my mother for one hour per day over several years. The carers were punctual and reliable and carried out their tasks in a caring and friendly manner. The office staff were responsive if ever I needed to call them. I would recommend Home Instead.
I contacted Home Instead on the recommendation of a friend. From the initial telephone call, I was met with polite efficiency and an assessment meeting was swiftly set up. Clear explanations of the way Home Instead works were made and a carer was in place very quickly. She was sensitive, caring and courteous towards my husband and he felt at ease and happy to receive her help. Telephone calls from the office were made to check that all was going well and any problem would have been quickly picked up and looked into. I would recommend Home Instead for its caring staff, efficient organization and ease of communication.
Our dad, in his 90's, is a very independent person. He was very reluctant at first to have carers in his home but the staff from Home Instead were brilliant, compassionate and humorous with him. It was a start in our journey with him to understand that he did need help and for him to accept it.
Home Instead provided absolutely perfect care for my husband. They were all very caring, quiet, gentle and very sympathetic. They took the utmost care in understanding our needs and getting to know all of the details about my husband so they could talk to him about the things he cared about. Both the office staff and carers were all brilliant and we could not have asked for more. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care in their home.
Excellent service and support over five years to my now deceased wife for three years and subsequently to myself for the last two years. My comments apply to both the home-visiting carers and the office support staff. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone in need of any form of care,
Home Instead provided excellent carers who were very carefully chosen so as to dovetail with my father's requests and personality interaction. Because of this excellent provision my father was able to feel and be excellently supported in his own home. As a paramedic and health care professional I interact with many different care companies and levels of care provision on a daily basis and I can state that the level of care, support, and interaction was superb and outclassed any other care provider I have worked with. This high quality of care was achieved via a multifactorial system of provision in which the carers interacting with Dad on a daily basis liaised well with my dad, management and supervision staff, and the various family members. The care staff are trained to a high standard and all demonstrated active care and concern over and above their job description, and so, Dad was exceptionally well supported by Home Instead.
We were very lucky to have had Home Instead recommended to us by one of dad's neighbours. From the start, they went out of their way to support and care for dad. All the caregivers were lovely, that's how dad described them. Over the past two years, we got to know them well and will miss them. Would definitely recommend Home instead without hesitation.
