View Full Details of Home Instead (Burton Upon Trent)Although we are only at the start of our caring journey I have been blown away by how brilliant Home Instead has been. From the first call to the set up visit to the first caring sessions, they have been caring, professional, thorough and supportive. We were hugely let down by another care company and were edgy about trying again but Home Instead, especially the care coordinator, who has given me total confidence again. They have taken the time to find out about my dad the person, not just the elderly disabled man who needs care. Would recommend to anyone and so unbelievably pleased we found them.
The entire care team has been really great with my mum who initially resented needing carers but quickly developed a great relationship with them. As well as providing the personal care she needs, they have simply spent time with her and provided much needed social contact. Nothing has been too much trouble for the team to deal with. Their communication with the family has been excellent at all stages.
The carer who does chiropody is excellent. She is very experienced with dementia patients and very caring. Since having her care my husband's feet have improved and he is noticing the difference. We are very pleased with her service.
From the first point of contact and right to the final visit, in fact even once the contract had finished, we were as a family delighted with the service given. Nothing seemed too much trouble, everything was solution-centred for our mum and ourselves. Mum enjoyed every carer she came into contact with. Communication with us as family members was excellent. We would not hesitate to use Home Instead again. Definitely recommend them 100%.
We are very pleased with the care that Home Instead give to my mother. All the staff are Kind and compassionate, you would think that Mum was part of their family. Thank you for your high-quality professional help at this difficult time.
I can't say any more than 'excellent'! Everything asked of them was done in a very positive, helpful manner. As I told my carer I would love to see her again sometime, preferably not in a professional capacity. I would absolutely, definitely use their services again.
Homestead provides a caring, kind, and professional service to the clients and their families. The office team is always helpful, the care coordinator is always available and the carers always put the client's needs and well-being as their priority. I would like to thank the team at Homeinstead Burton, for their help over the past 2 years and the care shown to my Dad.
I must commend all the staff involved with the running of the Home Instead Burton office during the time we used the carer system. I was forced to make a number of changes to the care plan, this was carried out with the efficient and pleasant nature of the office staff and carers. I would like to highly commend two carers in particular for their help and support, both showed great compassion and a willingness to help support my needs. I will have no reservations about using your home care provision in the future. Thank you.
The team who looked after my father were lovely. Even though there was a language barrier, they managed to help my father. They were all very professional and caring, I would definitely recommend them.
My mum receives a good level of care from Home Instead. She enjoys her daily visits not only with the support given but also the company of having someone to chat to. The carers give me reassurance that Mum will have taken her medication and that she is washed and dressed appropriately. They also help with general housework. Any contact I've had with carers and the office has been very good.
We had a lovely team looking after Dad at home up until he had to go into a care home, that was last May. Since then we have continued with Home Instead in their capacity as companions to visit Mum, take her out and help her around the house. They have all been so loving and caring to both Mum and Dad, and it was so nice that when Dad sadly passed away at the end of March, the girls came and celebrated his life with us at his funeral. Such a wonderful gesture and we greatly appreciated it. As a family, it is difficult to express how thankful we are at the professional and dedicated manner, not to mention the love and care the team has shown to first Dad and now Mum. We are totally happy we have Home Instead to make all our lives a lot easier
I found Home Instead to be very professional and genuinely caring about their clients. The carers spoke to my Dad in a friendly manner. He was sceptical at first but they put him at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly one of the carers found my Dad on the morning he'd passed away; she remained with him and made the necessary calls to ensure the District Nurse attended. When the family arrived we were comforted to have her there.
Overall service is very good and better communication from the office if the carer has been changed for one reason or another.
I don't know what we would have done without the fantastic, skilled and caring team at Home Instead Burton. They have been so flexible and supportive during a very difficult time when both my parent's care needs have escalated. They put wrap-around care in with four days' notice whilst they recruited a brilliant live-in carer for us. They have supported me when I have been overwhelmed with everything. I know that they care for my mum and dad, they are like an extended part of our family whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. I can't thank or recommend them highly enough.
Really pleased with the help I get from Home Instead. Friendly and professional. The staff are always on time and keen to help with anything they can. They also make good suggestions to help around the house.
Home Instead (Burton Upon Trent) cared for Mum for three and a half years before she finally had to go into residential care. The care they provided was excellent. She had her own team of carers which led to a very personal approach. They were all extremely kind and offered all the support and friendship Mum needed. Home Instead very carefully tailored the care to Mum's specific needs, the carers were very punctual and nothing was too much trouble. Mum also attended the day centre in Wood Street and the monthly choir which she enjoyed immensely. The staff at Home Instead supported all the family and were very responsive to our needs and requests. I would definitely recommend Home Instead.
My partner was cared for by Home Instead for 2 years and they also supported me during that time until he passed away. Due to him at times being difficult, we had a very small team who assisted with personal care and took him out. If a new carer had to come in we were always introduced to them to ensure we were happy and they got on with him. I couldn't fault the care that was given and how caring they were and the interaction they had with him. If ever I needed additional care at short notice they always tried to accommodate this. When my partner passed away the carers were very kind to me and said that they missed coming in to him. I got great comfort from this and would recommend Home Instead to anyone who needed care.
My father started using the services of Home Instead earlier this year. The staff on the phone are so professional, caring and understanding and you always feel that the client’s views are listened to. If there is an issue, and there have only been minor questions rather than issues, then we are called back promptly with an answer. The carers are wonderful, Dad only ever has positive comments and he feels really comfortable with them. They are always on time and make time to speak to Dad as well as completing the necessary tasks. Home Instead have really impressed Dad and the whole family. I recommend them to anyone looking to make that difficult choice of employing carers.
The support Mum gets is great, the carers are sympathetic and understanding of Mum's needs, I am told should there be any problems and all issues are dealt with sensitively and promptly. The relationship between patient and carer is always put to the front and the care team have helped out with any requests I have made for additional shifts or shift changes. I value the service Mum gets and my relationships with the team I have met and the management.
Mum likes her carers, they chat to her and sing with her as well as support her with the day to day things like getting meals, taking meds etc, The Care Coordinator and her team are great at keeping me informed if they have any concerns and are very responsive when I request help for taking her to medical appointments etc. Mum really enjoys the social activities offered too, such as the monthly choir and annual Christmas party.
