View Full Details of Bluebird Care ReigateOverall, the visits have been positive experiences. I've been treated with care, patience, respect & dignity. We would definitely use your agency again.
I have been using Bluebird for about 6 months & have found them remarkably efficient and helpful. I have no adverse criticism to make at all.
The people who come to me are really kind and helpful, charming ladies. They really care. I have been with Bluebird since 2013.
All the ticked boxes are satisfactory. An experienced carer is particularly appreciated. All cares are keen to want to be helpful and I enjoy meeting different personalities.
My wife, who has Parkinson's Disease and I have been using the service of Bluebird Reigate since March 2024. The carers who have been sent to us have been in general been providing excellent services. The rostering services of the office staff in Reigate have been (sometimes very) disappointing. The office schedulers and supervisors seem to be uninterested in updating the database properly. So the timing and scheduling of the visits have been erratic and the staff in the office seem to be unaware of the concept of client satisfaction. Simply put: they are blunt. Not aware of the software modules the Reigate Bluebird is using. The 'pass programme' seems to provide functionality for proper planning and minimizing travel time. But the schedule is week in week out chaotic. There is a lot of 'management by exception' to correct for inadequate inputs in and insufficient quality control of the output of in the database. A real time and chronic planning disaster!
The help given is very much appreciated. The staff standards vary: one or two are excellent, others are good. 1) It would help to know in advance which staff member is scheduled as cleaning/ironing jobs etc. suite some staff better than others. 2) It would also be helpful to establish a regular time for every visit so that we can establish a regular routine at our end. Realise this may not be possible due to emergencies etc. Overall, the help given by Bluebird Care is helpful and appreciated.
Most carers are conscientious and helpful. Some do not wear aprons; one doesn't remove her coat; one caused a traffic jam by parking carelessly and annoyed the neighbours!
All the care staff have been very good and kind. In particular, one carer has become a regular carer and knows my needs very well. The members of staff in the office have been very helpful in liaising with doctors, nurses and the hospital.
Overall, we have been happy with the service. It has not been ideal having so many different carers as my stepfather has to repeat what is required. All the carers have been very pleasant.
The provision of carers without cars caused most upset as we are not near a good bus route and a good railway station. The concern if they were late?! Especially as they come from Croydon and further distances, which seemed weird. We only had one unsatisfactory carer who did not come prepared to give care on his only night! Made himself off to bed!
The carers at Bluebird Care agency have been caring for my mum for 6 months. Her needs are met with respect and kindness. Any concerns are dealt with quickly and with understanding. If they have any concerns about my mum I am informed quickly. I would be happy to recommend the carers who see my mum. They are reliable and proactive.
As you know, I am away, but my sister and client have both said how happy they are with the carer. I am delighted as I am able to relax and enjoy my break. I understand that the carer is very respectful, she is maintaining personal care to a high standard, she is providing meals which I understand are being enjoyed, and their recreational periods also seem to be of similar liking. I believe that the carer is maintaining the exercises advised by the therapist, which is very important. Although the carer is relatively new, she has, in this short time, proven to be very competent, caring, polite and altogether an asset to your agency.
The live-in carer established an immediate rapport with my wife, which was a great relief as I was in hospital myself when she arrived. It was obvious from the moment I came home. Care is delivered gently, maintaining dignity and without stress or fuss. It's a million miles better than I was able to deliver before she arrived. The result is that both my wife and myself have benefitted very significantly over the four months we have been fortunate enough to have had this support.
The carer was gentle and caring every time he came.
All the helpers are pleasant and helpful and Mum would describe all as good. A couple she regards as excellent, their manner and initiative distinguish them. Mum finds the constant change of staff a little unsettling and not what she had expected.
Drawing on my experience and of friends' experiences, it is evident that there is a distinct difference between free-lance domestic helpers and those employed by an agency - with the latter being far more efficient. I have been a client with Bluebird Care for two months and have found the ladies that come to me were obviously professional in their demeanour and skills but at the same time were friendly, without being condescending.
I find Bluebird Care very good. The carers are pleasant and polite and do the job very well. They have conversations with me which is wonderful as I don't see many people and most of all they smile a lot. I cannot fault them, female or male. The office staff are pleasant and always have a small chat with you when you ring. My only complaint is that they do a yearly survey, you send it back and they say they have noted everyone's thoughts and will put some changes in, but nothing happens. We carry on as usual. Why bother with a survey at all.
My carers are extremely good, efficient and friendly. Always ready to assist. I look forward to their company. Visiting times have on occasion been different to my agreed schedule and at times shortened. This is sometimes confusing and difficult to cater for. Good service, pleasant staff. I am well satisfied with the service offered.
I have only used the service for three weeks following a fall. On the whole, I have found the carers extremely competent, kind and caring.
Punctual carer visits, excluding exceptional circumstances beyond their control. Exemplary care provided over tasks and personal care, as requested/required based on their own personalities. Lunch prepared extremely satisfactorily. Willing to take me on visits to shops, bank, GP appointments etc. I cannot fault any of them.
