View Full Details of Home Instead Central HampshireWe have been clients of HI Central Hampshire for about 5 years, first for my Dad and now Mum. We have progressed from shorter care sessions to now live in care. All of the carers have been wonderful,- such lovely, empathetic people who are highly professional, work hard and really care about their clients and families. They take time to get to know their clients and tailor their support to enhance their quality of life, which can be challenging with dementia sufferers. The Care Professionals are supported by an excellent support and management team. The communication with the family is excellent and we appreciate the effort they put in to provide us with a consistent, high quality service, and the openness in flagging issues and finding solutions. Caring for Mum at home for as long as possible is a key priority for our family and HI's high quality service has made this possible. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others, and thank all the team for their wonderful care.
I cannot speak highly enough about all the carers that have supported and helped Mum. They have been professional, patient and so so kind to not just Mum but myself and Dad too. We are struggling with Mum at the moment and they take time for all of us often going over the hour that they are there for. Despite Mum's stubborn refusal at times they win her round with their kind ways, ensuring Mum's dignity at all times. They have even won my Dad round who was adamant that no carers would be allowed in! Thank you.
From the beginning when my father was reluctant to accept any help, Home Instead have shown a high level of care and patience. The care givers provide a kindness, firmness and sense of humour that has won the hearts of my father, his late wife, my sisters and myself. After the death of my stepmother, my father needed more care and Home Instead provided this at short notice. The management have also been very good at communicating with the family and have really tried to accommodate the additional needs. The care givers are punctual, sensible and very able at domestic duties. They also bring sensitivity, kindness and a lightness to a situation which to family members is more challenging. Overall Home Instead have enriched the lives of my father and my late stepmother. They have enabled them to stay in their own home and most definitely have eased the burden of care on the wider family who don't live nearby.
The service and flexibility is excellent. They have a very good quality of carers, who are compassionate and always will to help. Some have a medical understanding and that has been really helpful. Many have become friends with my mum. It's not just caring support but also companionship. Whenever there has been any last minute requests or changes, they have been very reactive and supportive.
Fabulous service from the Home Instead office team and all the Care Pros. No matter who you have contact with, the quality of service is fantastic, and they are joined up in their thinking and approach. I feel we are really working well in partnership together. My dad's new live-in carer has started this month. Home Instead recruited this person from outside their network but she is absolutely of high standard I'd expect from Home Instead: warm, friendly, professional and above all laughs and keeps everything upbeat yet calm which is so important with Dad who has Alzheimer's. They are settling in well together.
Simply the best carers we could wish for to look after our parents. Home Instead looked after my dad before he passed away in December, it was a difficult time for us all but they dealt with the situation with so much care, dignity and empathy. Home Instead carers are now looking after my mum who has mild dementia, the whole team are excellent. The initial visit and assessment from the manager was completed in a such a kind and considerate way. The office staff are always so helpful on the phone when we need to make changes or I need advice on what would be best for my parents. The carers that visit mum are excellent, so patient and kind. Always willing to take mum out for a coffee and cake, or change the beds, sit and do a crossword or make a meal plan/shopping list - whatever she wishes to do is no trouble for them. The care team have seamlessly fitted into our family and I know that mum loves having their daily visits.
Mum is happy with the services provided by the carers and does appreciate the care provided cannot think of anything else to say and to be honest I do not want to spend any more time on this statement
Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of using Home Instead's services. Their commitment to excellence has consistently exceeded my expectations. They are not just a care provider; they have become an integral part of my sister's life, delivering compassionate, reliable, and professional care that has greatly improved her quality of life. From the beginning, their personalised approach stood out. The initial assessment was thorough, allowing them to develop a customised care plan tailored to our needs. The caregivers are exceptional, compassionate, genuinely invested in my sister's well-being, and often become trusted companions. Home Instead's reliability is impressive. We've never been left without care, and the management and support team is highly organised, with clear communication about any schedule changes. In conclusion, Home Instead has provided exceptional service, profoundly impacting my sister's life. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
My sister is utterly convinced that she is capable of independent living alone despite her having age-related dementia. In recent months we have had the assistance of Home Instead and this has very much enhanced the quality of her life and also of our confidence that things are going as well as can be expected, as we live a several hours journey from her and so cannot respond immediately to any day to day issues that might and do arise. We are now looking to increase the duration of the Home Instead care to cater for further deterioration in her condition. The quality of the care provided is outstanding and a major component of this is the excellent and sympathetic company that the daily carers provide. Being able to access the daily carer's report is very reassuring and allows us to respond on a daily basis as and when necessary. Overall we are very impressed with the service and with the quality and professionalism of the carers.
Very pleased with the service my brother receives. Excellent that I can read comments made after each visit. The times I have needed to contact the service have been good, answered promptly and pleasant staff. The carers are very friendly and kind to my brother and care about his wellbeing.
The care, attention, support and kindness shown by my mother's Home Instead carers is exceptional. It gives great peace of mind. They are reliable and always make her feel comfortable. The office team are equally excellent, always responding quickly, ensuring she has the support she needs and with excellent care and attention. I know a number of people who have used Home Instead in different locations and all say the same! Excellent!
Home Instead has supported my mother for many months now and my mother, in spite of being very wary initially, really looks forward to seeing her carers. Mostly she has the same one or two which is very welcome. The office support is also excellent.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet your team of carers who were all as helpful as could be, cheerful and willing at all times. They were employed to give personal care to me and my wife each morning. This left 15 minutes spare when they were happy to do ironing, change bedding etc which was a big help. We were sad to say goodbye and will certainly ask for help from Home Instead if we need it in the future.
Home Instead has been outstanding in their care for Dad and Mum. I am so very grateful for the speed with which the team were able to organise and provide care. Home Instead's support has afforded my parents a great deal of comfort during a difficult time. Thank you!
Home Instead's compassionate and flexible approach enabled my parents to manage his last few weeks prior to moving my dad to a care home. The staff were all superb, engaging at the right level and amount without stifling my mum. The support we received from the management and admin team - sometimes at the weekend - was outstanding. Customer care went above and beyond again and again. I would highly recommend and use again (though hope I don't have to!)
My father very much appreciates his twice-weekly visits from Home Instead; they provide valuable companionship and enable him to spend time out of the house. He has found the carers to be real morale boosters and always looks forward to their visits.
We are very pleased with all the carers that help my wife in the morning. They are caring and careful and well trained. They move her from her bed by a ceiling hoist and they wash and dress her and move her to her electric wheelchair where she remains for the day.
The care pros are all so kind and patient with Mum and are always happy to help. I am so grateful that we can rely on them to help with looking after Mum. The office is always friendly and helpful too and on the rare occasion there are any disruptions to the rota they communicate very quickly to arrange alternatives. Great company and always happy to recommend them to others.
My mother has two care pro visits per day and these have enabled her to maintain a more independent life. Due to Mum's condition she still believes she is independent when in reality without her carer's assistance, she would not be able to stay in the house and live the fulfilling life she still has. With my father sadly in full-time care, the companionship is invaluable and all the team are great at being both patient and supportive when Mum is feeling sad and overwhelmed by life events. The quality of the updates logged each visit provides my brother and I with great comfort that Mum is safe, cared for and is getting out enjoying her visits to see Dad, go shopping or for a walk, all inevitably followed by coffee and cake. Whenever we need further assistance or advice the office team are on hand to provide help and reassurance in a professional and friendly manner. We're very grateful to the team who are as much of a support to ourselves as family members as they are to Mum as the client.
All care staff are friendly willing and helpful, particularly understanding of dementia care. Able to cope with emergencies and deal with appropriately. Mum was grateful for their support particularly after several falls which needed an ambulance.
