View Full Details of Rosemont Care Essex BranchSome carers are extremely good and some are not so good.
This is the third company we have used and we have used Rosemont for about 4 years. They were better than the previous companies. 10/10 for the carers. Carers are excellent, notifying me immediately of any issues e.g. bed sores just beginning so we are able to treat them immediately. If it wasn’t for this company I wouldn’t be able to keep Mum at home with me, she would have to go into a nursing home.
My mum is happy with the care. Sometimes different carers do things differently which can be annoying ie some carers hang her washing and clothes in the wardrobe very badly and some put used incontinence pads in the kitchen bin. But overall, very good standard of care, very friendly, staff very patient with mum.
Let me start by saying the worst thing about this company is the management team, especially the owner. They are shocking, appalling, there's no communication, they do nothing about any issues or problems with their carers. My dad is 93, just come out of hospital and was bedridden. We met a very nice lady who made it sound wonderful as to what Rosemont was going to do for my dad. I will give you just a few examples; never opened leg bag catheter to run into night bag, leg bag was about to burst when I got to my dad I had to empty it. Another time the carer left the tap open to the night bag, all the urine run onto the carpet. Still waiting for Rosemont to do something about this, but no they sent the same person back after I said I don't want her back. The carer broke a catheter tap and pulled it so hard she made my dad's penis bleed. The District Nurse could not believe what she had done, never turned up four times, just left my dad. You never knew if they going to turn up or not. The list is endless.
Rosemont stepped in when it came to looking after a family member and they did an incredible job. They were ever so reliable. It was safe to say that leaving my family member in their hands was one of the best decisions I ever made. The staff are very competent and more importantly caring. Highly recommend their services!
The carer spent about ten minutes to carry out personal care. Timing varies by one to three hours late. Do not know how to use a slide sheet. Do not know how to wash hair. Strip patient while washing. Do not know how to wash and apply barrier cream to private parts of patient.
My Uncle is ninety three and has been using Rosemont Care Essex Branch for the last year. It was very difficult for my Uncle and my Aunt to accept the care as they are both very independent and private people, who did not want support at home. However, the kindness of the care staff and the fact that they respected their initial boundaries and worked slowly with both my Uncle and Aunt to build positive relationships, they now look forward to these visits, sharing photos and stories with them. The last few months my Uncle's care needs have changed. The team leader has worked tirelessly to explain to my Uncle that he needs a hospital bed, that its not a scary time and that we are doing everything to ensure he stays at home but comfortably and safely. She has visited him at home numerous times to explain the benefits, made many calls to occupational health and social services, which has ensured that he has got the help he needs. It is reassuring to know they are in safe hands.
Since my daughter has needed extra care, Rosemont Care Essex Branch have gone above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and happy. Through lockdown they have become like family. I'm truly grateful for the services they provide.
