As I live in Cambridge, it was very difficult for me to see him regularly. The team at Bluebird really took care of everything. All the care workers were brilliant but one in particular was special. I was so touched that so many attended the funeral. Thank you so much to the managers who always made the process easy.
Bluebird have been caring for my mum for a few years up until she has finally needed to go into a care home. They have been flexible and quick to adapt to her changing needs through her dementia journey, enabling us to keep her in her own home for as long as possible, after she was no longer able to look after herself. The managers are approachable and responsive, and the carers are wonderful. I have been amazed and impressed at how they found ways to provide what she needed even when she refused help. The carers who went frequently were able to get to know her well, and gain her trust. I would recommend Bluebird to anyone looking for dementia care.
Bluebird Care have been looking after my aunt for well over a year now. The set-up was easy and contacting the main office is never a problem. The carers who look after my aunt have been amazing and my aunt always comments on how lovely and kind they are. I live a distance away from my aunt and using Bluebird Care gives me peace of mind every day that she is okay. I would highly recommend them.
Bluebird carer services were very reliable and easy to set up and we didn't need to get involved in the day-to-day running. My mum is an early riser and Bluebird were only too happy to adjust their timings so that, where possible, they visited my mum early to get her showered and dressed and ensure she had breakfast. They also informed us if the carer was running late so we knew what was going on.
Bluebird have been visiting my mother, who is 96 years old, three times a day for the past year. She is very happy with all the carers and the support they give. She enjoys the news they pass on and the chats too. She is not always easy to help as she tends to refuse anything offered, but the carers encourage and persuade her. The initial visit to set up the support was very comprehensive. Bluebird has systems in place that have been very helpful and informative with online reports after every visit. I have found the managers to be responsive and have never failed to get a response from them. Having this level of support from Bluebird has also eased the strain on my husband and me; it means that we can go out and do things knowing that Mum is being well-supported.
Bluebird Care made it easy to set up and implement the care package and were very responsive when it came to making any changes as we went along. At all times the Bluebird staff were highly professional and attentive to my mother's day-to-day needs.
Having been recommended to Bluebird Care, we were delighted at the speed at which care was put in place to help my 95-year-old father with twice-daily visits. They made sure he was safe and well, dispensed his medication correctly and fed him his breakfast and Dad really looked forward to seeing them on a daily basis. Following an assessment, the staff at Bluebird swung into action very swiftly, and both the office staff and the individual carers were all fabulous, simplifying the whole daunting process and change easy for Dad to adapt to. I cannot recommend Bluebird highly enough. It was a great relief to find a company that not only understood the needs of the person receiving the care but cared about the people around the person who needed the care. We are forever grateful. My husband was very unwell with cancer, and I had just had a gynie operation, and I couldn't look after him as I was supposed to be recuperating. My son contacted Bluebird, and a very lovely, caring lady started with us the following morning. From the moment she arrived, she was hands-on, and nothing was too much trouble, and she was immediately part of the family. My husband took to her straight away, and he was very content to let her help him with anything that needed attention. As the situation was becoming very emotional, our Bluebird also looked after us as a family. Nothing was too much trouble, and she did help us in our hour of need. I have no hesitation recommending our Bluebird, who helped us through a very dark time.
We used Bluebird short term following a hip replacement. Quick and efficient to set up a care package to suit our needs and timings. etc. We had the same morning carer, throughout and she was absolutely brilliant and a delight to have in our home. She really is a credit to Bluebird and always arrived with a smile and genuine willingness to help. We also had a few night time carers who generally were very good, however, one carer was not as professional or well turned out as we would have expected, this was discussed with Bluebird who took our concerns seriously.
I am pleased that an excellent, kind live-in carer has been found for my mother. It really is has eased the stress and worry on the family, and it's great that Mum can be secure at home with a compassionate Carer.
My 94-year-old Mum lived by herself and was very independent. She started to have some mobility issues and I eventually managed to convince her she needed some help. I contacted Bluebird and they were able to put support in for her each afternoon for an hour within a few days - a great relief for myself as I live in the USA and with Covid visiting Mum was a problem. Unfortunately, my mother deteriorated within a few more days and needed evening and morning help to get to bed and up in the morning. Again Bluebird were fantastic and juggled their schedules to provide the necessary support. All their nurses were very attentive to my mother's needs. I did manage to get to visit Mum and stay with Mum for 10 days before her passing but again Bluebird were there to help and support me as well.
