Right at Home support my dad for pad changes, washing, food and general companionship. A special thanks to one of the carers, a phenomenal carer with a heart of gold and a level of patience that I can only aspire to, and to Care Manager for being an awesome, who is always open to feedback and focuses on solutions not problems. I highly recommend Right at Home.
I was particularly impressed by the flexible attitude displayed by the Right at Home team, and by the positive and affectionate approach of the carers. The team was able to readily adapt the frequency and nature of care as my husband's needs changed.
My experience is very good. All carers are very diligent and punctual. If they are running late or early I am always informed. The office team are really good and flexible and I feel everyone understands my needs.
The team have been looking after my Mum (afternoons, a few times per week) for a number of years. The service is excellent. The care manager is outstanding, responsive , sensitive and understanding of changing needs. So too is the principal carer who has looked after my Mum the most, keeping her stimulated and well. The rest of the team are very good too! As a family we are very grateful for the support.
Right at Home has been providing daytime care, and more recently, live-in care for my mother (who has Alzheimer's dementia and poor mobility) for over 2 years now. The carers are amazing - polite, pleasant, and punctual, but above all empathetic, patient, and kind. The management team are incredibly helpful, always going to great lengths to ensure appropriate care coverage, even at very short notice. They are professional, reliable, and very thorough, with regular extremely detailed care planning assessments. Communication with relatives is excellent, and there has never been any issues of any kind. The whole care pathway is delivered with compassion and integrity. Right at Home deserves the highest of recommendations.
I have consistently been impressed and delighted with the care Right at Home provides for my mother. Apart from the dependable visits, nothing is too much trouble in organising those little things that often go unnoticed.
Needed a last minute hospital to home care and the care manager was able to arrange despite the short notice. A day later I needed to arrange evening care for a week and was able to accommodate also. Very professional carers.
My dear friend of 55 years is being kindly looked after by the Right at Home 'family.' Right at Home takes care to match carers with the personality of the client and they use their expertise to cope with routine and unexpected situations. The management team are efficient with swift replies to the information requested and if they need to pass on concerns. It is reassuring to know my friend is surrounded by such a caring and diligent team.
Great caregiver who looked after my wife who had complex needs.
My wife is bed-bound, living in a hospital-style bed in the living room and needing two social care visits each day to help me keep her clean and comfortable. Over our six years with Right at Home that comes to more than 4000 visits, and every single one has been a success. The carers have all been efficient, friendly and good-humoured. They all take pride in what they do and I can tell that they've been well-trained. They're also excellent company, helping her to feel a bit less socially isolated (especially appreciated during the Covid years). The Right at Home management too are efficient, friendly and supportive, and constantly working to improve the service; for example, I can now access the client portal via the internet to see the latest version of the visit schedule. Occasionally there are unavoidable glitches (carer transport issues etc) but whenever that happens I know that they will get someone else to us without too much delay. Definitely five stars out of five.
Carers are friendly and helpful.
The care manager understood our situation immediately, and put in place a caregiver for my mum really quickly. I had zero experience in this area, but the care manager's high level of expertise meant that I had learned something significant from every visit. When I am in a better position to help others, I hope to share this knowledge. Mum has high-level needs and being able to have the care manager's expertise and a personalised experience with the caregiver has been worth every penny. The care manager selected the caregiver for my mum and I think it was a perfect match. The caregiver formed a sweet bond with my mum immediately. They have been very patient with us as we adjust to a new way of doing things. They have also been extremely respectful of my mum and adjusted to Mum's changing needs seamlessly. The work they are doing has had a much-needed positive impact on my mum and the whole family.
My 97-year-old aunt had her first fall late last year and I had to organise home care for her when she was discharged. I found Right at Home online, and they stepped in at short notice to arrange a suitable care package for her. Nothing was too difficult and the relief I felt as they came online was immense. My aunt was given thoughtful and well-planned care and she greatly appreciated it. I also liked the way the carers were making sure I was coping with the situation, readily offering advice when requested. The team of (3-4) carers largely stayed the same and I was amazed how quickly my aunt was able to build up a close relationship with them all and really looked forward to their visits. As her health declined and she needed 24-hour care, once again they quickly arranged an appropriate night care package. I can only say again how outstanding, reliable, trustworthy and respectful my aunt’s carers were, and who enabled her to continue her life, at home, till her passing.
My husband was looked after by two very caring ladies for two months after leaving hospital. He received suck lovely care and was treated with dignity and compassion.
Despite dementia and significant medical problems, my dear friend was given loving, kind and thoughtful care and was respected as an individual until she died. Every effort was made to meet her physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. The outstanding care that she was given, enabled her to live life to the full and die peacefully in her home, surrounded by people who loved her. Her wish to live and die at home could not have been fulfilled without the care and support of the staff from Right at Home and her friends. This was greatly appreciated.
Two regular carers have been excellent and reliable.
Really pleased with the service that has been offered to my uncle and aunt. It was all set up efficiently and speedily, and communication and meeting expectations have been superb. The care assistant was matched beautifully and all are extremely pleased in these initial months.
Thank you to Right at Home for all of their support to date, and for their excellent communication, understanding, efficiency and kindness.
After a fall at home and being on the floor for 32hrs, my 86yr old mum was discharged from hospital after 4 days. The Manager from Right at Home visited with mum the following day to assess her and her needs, and chatted with mum regarding her fall, looking at her pressure sores and watching how mum got in and out of bed etc. She asked to see mum’s discharge notes and was very concerned that mum had not been referred to District Nurses to attend to her sores or physiotherapists to assess mum’s safety within her home. The Manager asked me to ring mum’s Doctor's surgery that day advising me on what to request re District Nurses etc to attend to mum the next day. A Doctor rang me back and needless to say, she was appalled. They all came the next day. Mum has been recognised as an “unsafe discharge”. The Manager not only deeply cares for the elderly, she is their voice. We truly can’t thank her enough. Mum is now gaining her strength and confidence again due to Right at Home and their caregivers. Thank you all.
