View Full Details of Home Instead (Reading)I am a service user and have been for a few years now. I have been happy with the service provided but find change difficult. I prefer the same carer. I like having a visit once a day for my personal needs (which are met).
I just wanted to thank Home Instead colleagues for an amazing quality of service - generally over many years but especially over the last few weeks when my Mother has needed extra support. Home Instead have been there for her, and are so caring. It is reassurance for us as a family to know that my Mother is safe and being care for so well by a professional team, given we live at a distance. Recently when Mum needed extra care visits due to a fall Home Instead colleagues sorted this within hours and then visited Mum to check she was happy with the arrangements. They also were able to call in other health care professional rapidly when Mum needed to see additional nursing care.
I appreciate this opportunity to recognise the excellent support that the homecare ladies have provided me during the first critical weeks after my operation. They have displayed unfailing empathy and kindness and each day I have looked forward to their visits which are both reliable and moral boosting. They have provided immediate personal care as needed from time to time and thanks to their interest and professionalism I am making a quick recovery. They are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and good company. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. I wish to give them the highest recommendation and continued success in the future. Thank you all.
Thank goodness for Home Instead. I have landed on my feet with that, in what is a process that is broken. There is no communication between pre and post-hospital and so you are in the dark about what to do. The staff to all the carers have been amazing. Kind, compassionate, reliable. They have bent over backwards to help my step mum and my family in what has been a stressful time. They have taken over the project management and most of the stress. Thanks to you all for your help.
I needed help with my mum as I was working full-time. She had COPD and was getting more demanding of me. I called into Home Instead, and from the very first meeting, I felt a weight lift ogg my shoulders. Eventually, Mum agreed to help, and I noticed a difference in Mum, she had a new face to look at and chat to. The whole team were very professional from start to finish. If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure what I would have done. Thank you for a fantastic service.
The carers who have come to me have been pleasant and helpful and have always cleared me up. I do however find the service expensive.
Following a full and fracturing my wrist, I was in need of help to cope with normal daily tasks. A friend referred me to home care and they tendered me all necessary care and assistance.
I was strongly advised by the nurse to seek help in getting my wife up in the mornings to relieve the stress I was feeling due to the repetitive nature of the attention to my wife's needs. Home Instead took on that role, with immediate and continuing effect. I am grateful to all the carers and the admin staff. I shall recommend Home Instead to anyone I meet who needs the same help.
I am so impressed with the field supervisors and the care manager. I have organised daily care for my father with their endless help, guidance, kindness and patience. A stressful and difficult situation has been taken care of by them and nothing is too much trouble.
Very well organised company with first class staff in the field and in the administration section.
Everyone I have spoken to has been polite, friendly and helpful. My mother really likes her carers and it has been enormously helpful to me to have someone else looking out for her and helping her. She seems much happier since your staff have been visiting.
Human resources is very good at matching the carers to the patient. My carer it meticulous and patient and I could not wish for a better.
Home Instead provided a very caring and professional service for my mother for several years and with their support, she was able to live independently at home. The communications with the office were always helpful and supportive. They communicated any concerns with helpful advice, including, for example, photos of bruising/bites/areas of concern which I was able to forward to the GP. The caregivers were very helpful and friendly. They were efficient in their duties and made time to chat with Mum, do the crossword together etc. Which she really appreciated. Mum went to the hospital due to a fall, and during her recuperation Home Instead came out to her assess her and devised a plan to get her home more quickly and care for her at home, as was her wish.
Far reaching, in-depth, satisfactory
I’ve been absolutely delighted with the care my mother has received over the last year. Both the office staff and caregivers are always professional, supportive and caring. When my mother recently had to be hospitalised, they were so efficient and liaised with all the medical professionals, helping to reduce everyone’s stress levels. A fantastic caregiver was there to support my mother and me, on her return from hospital - we could not have managed without her. All the caregivers are caring and supportive companions to my mother on a daily basis - she looks forward to their visits and chats.
Happy with carers who visit my mother. Not happy with communications from the office. Changing carers or times without calling my mother first.
I cannot recommend Home Instead (Reading) enough. So much so that I have passed their details onto friends who are in need of a good, care providing company on numerous occasions. They are reliable, courteous and professional and always have not only my father’s best interests at heart but that of the whole family.
I find the Home Instead team are very friendly, reliable and caring and I appreciate their company twice a week.
Well managed agency. Good carers. Reliable and friendly. Always happy to help if at all possible.
My mother has been having daily visits for more than three months now, from carers who are always friendly, helpful and professional. She now looks forward to their visits and appreciates that they all take the time to talk with her while going about their work. It helps that she sees the same carers on a regular basis so she gets to know them and they get to understand her needs, likes and dislikes. I am very happy with the caring way the service is provided and would certainly recommend them to anyone.
