View Full Details of In Home Care - Waterlooville, Havant, Petersfield & EmsworthThe care team that settled me after a long time in hospital recommended In Home Care, and I'm so glad I went with their suggestion. From first meeting with the manager, it was obvious they were a professional and caring company. All the staff that have come to my home have all my details and they're all friendly, kind and patient. If you are having a new health issue, however small, it will be flagged up on the day and management will check to make sure it's been dealt with appropriately. Very happy to recommend this care company .
Thank you so much to In Home Care for helping us when the people who should have been supporting us, let us down badly. In Home Care came to the rescue when we were really in need. We would recommend them to future clients.
In Home Care were absolutely brilliant and couldn't have asked for more. They set care up for my grandfather very quickly, and were very professional and flexible with additional care when it was needed urgently. Many thanks.
In Home Care has provided fantastic care for both my parents for many years until my mother's passing in September 2023. The care and support given to Mum and Dad enabled them to stay in their own home until the end just as they wished. As well as being practical care visits the carers also engaged extremely well with my parents, both of whom suffered from dementia. Great friendships were formed and the effect on my parents' mental health cannot be quantified. On the few occasions when there were problems they were dealt with quickly and without fuss. As a family, we never felt that we were on a "conveyor belt" as has happened in the distant past. I will continue to recommend In Home Care to anybody in need of personalised and quality care.
I cannot speak highly enough of the service my sister-in-law received over an extended period from In Home Care. Her needs were high as she was bedridden, had many medical disabilities and dementia. The staff delivered care that in my opinion extended way above the call of duty, giving her excellent bed care, medical care, practical care and shopping and time for a chat built into her routine. In essence, the best care that someone in her position could have hoped to receive. Many of the carers formed special bonds with her which were invaluable to her mental health. Also having to act in her best interests from a distance they also supported me in every way they could, giving updates regularly and also interacting with a good friend and neighbour of my sister-in-law to enable her to help. I would highly recommend this wonderful service to anybody trying to make a decision over care for a loved one.
After breaking my femur in two places and needing a replacement hip operation I returned home unable to manage in the mornings when my wife had left for work or at lunch time. We engaged In Home Care who provided excellent service. Each day they helped me dress, put on my shoes, administered my medicines, made my breakfast or lunch, made the bed and washed up. All of this was done by some very kind carers who also checked on my progress and well-being. As I grew stronger and more independent I cut the lunch service and reduced the time of the morning visits until I felt I could manage. The care package got me through a very difficult period, followed a thorough assessment of my needs and medical history and gave me the reassurance that someone would call and check I was ok. I would strongly recommend In Home Care.
My elderly Mum has dementia but thanks to the excellent care shown by the Horndean team at In Home Care she is able to stay living independently in her own home. For the past year, she has enjoyed three visits daily. In her words, "It's like having friends visit me". As well as looking after Mum's care needs, preparing her meals and ensuring she has her medication, (even organising GP visits if required), each carer takes the time to have a warm, friendly chat with Mum. Dementia is hard on everybody, not just the person who has it...In-Home Care has made a positive difference to the whole family.
We have been with In Home Care for almost two years after suffering with a poor care provider previously. As a family it is important to have trust and confidence, In Home Care gives us that. They are well-organised and carers take great pride in their role. Any feedback is always listened to. Particularly for my dad's requirements and assurance of consistent regular carers, the rota coordinator has managed this very well. I am very grateful for the excellent communication that has been given and the pride in delivering the best care possible to my dad. She has gone above and beyond on many occasions, to ensure the family and my dad is treated with respect of his wishes for commitment to regular carers. This puts his mind at ease which I appreciate can be a challenging task for the rota coordinator to consistently deliver: but she does! I would recommend In Home Care to anyone considering a care provider in the Waterlooville area.
Mum was left without any telephone communication so her pendant alarm didn't work either and a certain telecommunication's company although their error couldn't sort an Engineer to come out until the next morning. Mum, therefore, needed someone to be with her overnight and come in early the next morning until they came out as she is nearly blind, hard of hearing, has heart issues and has just been diagnosed with the start of Alzheimer's. I called In Home Care and explained the situation at 4.30pm in the afternoon and their lovely Rota lady said leave it with me let me see what I can do. Well within 10 minutes bless her she was back and had arranged overnight cover from 10pm-7am and also got Mum's normal carer to come in at 7-9am until the engineer arrived at 8.45am. I was so impressed, relieved and grateful that In Home Care could sort in such a short amount of time and were so caring and wanted Mum to be safe. I would definitely 100% recommend them to anyone wanting to use a care company.
Our care needs have been changing and increasing. In Home Care has been amazing at communicating their concerns with me, almost daily. They are also liaising with my parents' GP and pharmacy on my behalf. All the staff are professional, supportive, approachable and caring.
I'm pleased to say all the carers who attended my mother over the course of last year were very attentive and supportive of her care needs. They all ensured Mum was provided with fresh water and other juice drinks for the day and encouraged her to drink when they were with her. Any concerns were always reported straight to us and their office immediately for the appropriate action to be taken ie:- when Mum suffered a couple of falls. The emergency services were called to attend and the member of staff always remained with Mum until they, and us, could attend. Offering a calming voice to Mum in her time of distress. Overall, I would definitely recommend your company to anyone looking for a good local, independent care company with a team of very kind, considerate and attentive carers. The administration of the company is also excellent with an easy system in place for payment of the bills.
I've been with this company for a good few years. The carers are brilliant. Continuity of care is very good and the office is always there to help with my medication, especially ordering and arranging medical appointments. Which is a great relief. If I didn't have carers then I would hardly see anyone or go out of my flat. They were outstanding during the pandemic and gave me some normality in a time of great stress.
The set-up for the service was needed quickly and this was done well with good communication and explanation from the team. The carers have been wonderful with Mum, showing care and compassion with her really friendly and helpful. The app that they use is great to see how the visits went and any things that I needed to know were in there. The team as a whole run a very good and smoothly run service.
Without the In Home Care staff and carers, who I have found in over three years to be caring and compassionate, I would not have been able to give my parents the quality of life at home that they deserved. At times of medical emergencies, the carers have been knowledgeable and calm in handling the situation and in normal times the laughter and stories during visits brighten up the lives of my parents. I have no hesitation in recommending the staff at Horndean In Home Care.
All carers who look after my mother are professional, cheerful and respectful. My mother looks forward to their morning visits. She trusts them and enjoys the chats. Personally, I could not cope without their care. S
Excellent company. The staff are always well presented, polite and friendly. Only one suggestion would be please contact the service user when you change times, as we have arrangements in place for the time advised, eg golf Tee off times verses vanishing times to be back for staff leaving.
We cannot recommend In Home Care highly enough. Apart from being efficient, listening to the client’s needs and adjusting to changes in those needs, the carers who come into our home were a pleasure to have around. There was always a phone call to tell us if a carer was going to be later than the appointed time. Those who came in became friends that we looked forward to seeing twice a day. After an extended period in hospital, In Home Care was unable to fit us back into their schedule, but while in hospital they called not only to check on their client’s health but also on my well-being. A huge thank you to everyone at In Home Care.
My father has advanced Alzhimer's/Dementia with poor hearing, occasionally displaying challenging behaviours and requires prompting, guidance and reassurance as he goes about his daily routine. In Home Care has been instrumental in providing a care package that meets these needs, offering continuity of care personnel experienced in the area of health conditions. The supplied professional quickly established a relationship with my dad, achieving optimal compliance with his morning routine. As his condition has progressed over the past four months, the care professional has displayed versatility and compassion in interacting with my dad in order to facilitate the maintenance of his toiletry and hygiene regimes.
My 91-year-old father was very reluctant to have carers after falling and breaking his hip. However, he realised he needed help to stay in his home and remain semi-independent. His carers understood his situation and gave him time to adjust and get to know them. They were reliable and kind, and wherever possible, were consistently the same members of staff. The office always kept me informed of any changes and always answered the phone! I will always be grateful to those who looked after him as he clearly was very happy with them, which in turn, stopped me from worrying about him.
My mother is very happy with the support she receives, she always knows who will be coming with an approximate time, and the carers understand her needs. She is always treated with kindness and respect and has built trusting professional relationships with all of the support team.
