View Full Details of Home Instead (Lytham, Fylde & Wyre)Mum has been receiving care from Home Instead Lytham, Fylde and Wyre for many years and we wouldn't want anybody else. The care she receives is and has always been excellent. The caregivers not only look after all her practical needs but also support her emotionally. They have without a doubt kept her going and have been fantastic support to me by giving me peace of mind knowing she is well cared for when I'm not there. She loves telling them her life stories and they genuinely are interested in listening to her making her feel valued at the grand age of 100. They show compassion and really do care about her whilst also doing all the practical tasks required. Equally the office team are always helpful, efficient and friendly resolving any problems or changes required straight away.
Home Instead are a valued support. Much appreciate the flexibility of tasks, e.g. help in home, going shopping, and particularly visits for health care. My sister enjoys the companionship of all the carers. It helps me as the next of kin to have the Birdie App to receive updates of visits etc. Thank you!
The care manager met Mum and I at Mum's house to go through her care plan. All care given is good except the carers never help her put in her hearing aids as requested. The care manager promised this would be addressed.
My mum has been very pleased with the service. Other than some initial admin challenges everything has been very good. The carers are all kind and reliable and provide exactly what my mum needs. It makes all the difference and gives Mum the opportunity to live an independent life in her own home. Many Thanks.
Care manager has an excellent understanding of my sister's needs and ensures that her team of carers meet these needs. There is excellent communication between us especially if there are any immediate concerns about her health and well being.
Home Instead really care about their service users they became a part of our lives when our nan needed care at home. They would go above and beyond to help and my nan loved them all. They were there right until the end of my nan's life and I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else.
On the first visit, my nan was so worried about it and nervous about meeting new people so when Home Instead arrived to meet Nan they were very pleasant and within about 15 minutes my nan was so comfortable about having them in her home and was happy to get them to take care of all her needs. Home Instead have been a blessing to my whole family.
Extremely helpful and very professional with everything they do, the amount of time and effort put in is absolutely astounding. Nothing is ever a problem for these guys. Big thanks to the manager who always goes above and beyond.
All the staff and the care coordinator were extremely kind, efficient and respectful towards my late mother-in-law. The knowledge and understanding they all brought to using the right methods and techniques to ensure her nutrition and hygiene needs were met, despite quite often, stubborn resistance, kept her as healthy and comfortable as possible. They also knew exactly when to request medical expertise be brought in and how to get their interactions with her at just the right level to ensure she was included and fully engaged during their visits. Support and communication for us was also invaluable and I can’t praise this care firm enough.
My mum’s overall care has been fantastic under Home Instead since she started with them in early September. I’ve seen a significant increase in my mum's well-being in all areas since they’ve undertaken her care, and my only regret is that I didn’t get them to manage her care much earlier in 2023. I can only thank each of them for the great care they provide for my mum. She is very happy with the care she receives, and that’s what is most important of all.
Very happy with the carers. Not so happy with notice period to temporarily suspend - too long notice has to be given.
There is a good standard of care and Mum is happy and feels looked after. She enjoys chatting to the staff and feels that they genuinely want to support her needs. When there have been problems they have been quickly addressed by the staff.
My mum has been with Home Instead for 5 years. We were concerned after our dad had died as to how she would manage by herself at home. She did not wish to go into a residential home so we decided to look at getting her some regular care at home. At first, she was reluctant with this idea but she is now happy with the caregiving she receives, usually by the same lady who really has become a friend to Mum. It is a relief and reassuring to us that Mum is having contact with a kind, caring and reliable caregiver who sees her 4 days each week for an hour in the afternoon. When the weather is nice, Mum can ask to go out in the car to enjoy some fresh air on the promenade in a local park or go to the shop. Alternatively, at the moment, she prefers to stay indoors and the caregiver will help her tidy up, read to her or just have a nice chat. Mum is now 96 years old and continues to want to live at home. So the caregiving services which Home Instead provide are increasingly important.
Amazing service, the care felt really personal and caring but also professional and above and beyond just a job to the carers. Always polite and inclusive to the rest of the family.
My Mum was with Home Instead for a few months and the stress they caused us as a family was horrendous. The caregivers, as a whole, were good but the office staff were rude and obnoxious. I asked them repeatedly for continuity of care that was promised on the day of assessment but when I brought this up with the manager I was told this never happened. The carers themselves were embarrassed and insisted the stress we were dealing with was unacceptable. They often left because of things they were having to tolerate. I could never raise a problem with the office as they would always make it appear I was wrong. The company made me feel this way. Everything I did or said I began to doubt myself so when a problem arose with particular carers, I just let things slide. Mum dreaded certain carers coming but when I asked for the care coordinator to visit and speak to Mum, again it never happened. Last but not least, a carer used the toilet whilst Mum was in the bathroom. Can’t be right, can it?
Very good. Very helpful and caring. It would be better if you had the same carers all the time.
I have been a client of Home Instead (Lytham, Fylde & Wyre) for a while now, I feel that I have confidence in my carers to provide me with the care I require. All tasks that I require are carried out without question.
The staff were all excellent when my uncle needed that bit of extra help. Nothing was too much trouble. I found their services friendly and professional. A credit to their industry. Thanks.
My mum loves her carers visiting and sees them as friends. It gives me piece of mind that someone is checking on her and keeping her company when I'm working. They can't do enough for her and she enjoys their trips out.
Home Instead visited my mum from October 2020 until January 2021 during that time they were caring, efficient and reliable even during the Covid pandemic. All of the care givers were trustworthy and looked after mum to a high standard and she was very happy to welcome them in to her home. The office staff and management were always helpful and accommodating when times needed to be changed. I would be happy to recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs care for a friend or relative.
