View Full Details of Manorcourt Homecare (Lowestoft)This is a new experience for my husband but any fears he has were soon allayed by the cherry, competent carers. They are so kind, patient and considerate.
The staff are very kind and patient. When they do tasks e.g. helping my husband to eat a meal they do it at his pace and always treat him with respect. They talk to him and I am sure the daily chats are helping him to recover. We are both very grateful for the support they offer.
Happy with the service provided.
I am so grateful to all the lovely carers who have helped me, they are all wonderful people. Nothing is too much trouble. We have some laughs that cheer me up no end. (They deserve a medal).
I have only been with the agency for a short while. In that time I have bonded with all my carers in one way or another. They come in and immediately get on with their tasks. I wish they had more time to stay for a chat and a cup of tea. In the time they are given, they can achieve so much. One wish I have is to be a client and not a service user.
My mother has been receiving care from Manorcourt since she was discharged from hospital in early February. We have been impressed with all the carers who attend my mother in her home with their kindness, respect and helpfulness.
All staff are very professional. PPE is used at all calls. Polite, caring, nothing was too much for the carers. Cooked food, coffee were always declined, preferred cold drinks.
Staff are good (carers) polite. Office are rude and need a customer care course. Always making excuses of sickness or short staffed due to holidays. Don't show any dignity to either parent.
Appreciate that you don't put male carers on my rota, but increasingly, that means the female carer has to work on her own. This means my husband has to hoist me to the bed and then change me into nightwear. Disappointed that prior to my extended hospital stay, I always had two female carers for all visits. I'm very happy with the excellent care I receive. The carers treat me with dignity and are very professional. However, I would like them to always check before leaving that - a, my beg bag is left open, b, the toilets are left clean and flushed, c, the handbasin is drained and wipes disposed of properly, d, the washing machine is loaded and actually running. Would like to see consistent recycling of wipes wrappers, pads wrappers, take tined and cream dispensers. Orange bottles and cranberry cartons are almost always left on the worktop when there is a large green bin marked "general recycling".
I am a user! All your staff are very, very good.
Since I have had Manorcourt Homecare to look after me, they are very helpful, kind, honest and trustworthy carers. I have to say I wouldn't cope without their help.
My wife and I find carers and service very good. Everyone has been caring and nice.
I want to say a massive thank you to all the carers who have helped me over the last four or five months. Several carers were concerned about my ankle, advising me to get to see a doctor. One carer was so concerned that they phoned the surgery and got me an appointment for that day! I had torn my Achilles tendon and was in a boot for twelve weeks! Putting the boot protector on for showering was an experience each day and plenty of laughter. Very quickly instead of two visits four were arranged. Many thanks to all the different carers, some new and some old friends. After being a client (really dislike the other term!) for many years, I have seen many changes, some good, some not so good. The one thing I want to see and keep is the weekly planner, yes it's not perfect, but it helps my anxiety and MS as often I have appointments.
I am the wife and full-time carer of the client. I have found the assistance and care/support we are receiving from Manorcourt Homecare to be excellent in all respects. he responds well to the carers, although as his Alzheimer's worsens, he is rather unaware of his needs and assistance is required. He can be aggressive towards them sometimes.
I’ve been satisfied with the level of care my mum gets. When I provided feedback, i.e when a new carer visited Mum and clearly wasn’t quite sure of how to deal with Mum (based on CCTV in Mum's home), I called and gave some feedback and suggestions and this was acted upon and I felt listened to.
As I have said in previous reports, I have nothing but praise for the carers but am unable to say the same with regard to the coordinators. When they make changes to carer or time, and sometimes both, they seem to find it impossible to notify us of such changes. meaning we are often left waiting past the time of arrival and also not knowing which carer we are going to have. I don't understand why this is so!
Carers always polite and do their best with my husband. Willing to help with anything else required on the call.
Staff were respectful and kind to my husband. Always cheerful.
My son's carer is caring, thoughtful, kind, charismatic, fun, punctual, resourceful, polite and professional. My son really looks forward to his carer's visits. His carer takes him out and communicates with my son with signs and Makaton. I cannot thank the carer enough! Also for being successful in taking him to have the COVID vaccine! I do not know how I would cope without this service. Thank you!
I am so lucky to be looked after every day by carers. One calls each morning to wash and dress me. They always check on my health conditions and are always gentle with me. The evening visit is to get me ready for bed. The girls are all friendly and very efficient at their jobs.
