View Full Details of Caremark ThanetI have been living in with my uncle since February 2024. He has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and is also bed bound. The carers provided by Caremark Thanet are excellent with enough people coming regularly so they can build a relationship with both my uncle and myself. They seem to have had a recent recruitment drive and the 3 new carers we've had in the last week have been absolutely brilliant, kind, friendly, confident and competent. The admin and support staff in the office are also wonderful and are happy to help when they can. It is nice to build a rapport with a real person that I can talk to when there is something to discuss.
My Mother had an accident and broke her arm, at 92 years old this was life-changing, she lived independently and when taken to the hospital went downhill physically and psychologically extremely quickly, I was only able to get her back home quickly with the help of 2 members of staff who visited her in the hospital on the day I rang them, assessed her and put into place 24 hours round the clock care at home. Mum and the family were able to rest assured that she could get better with all the support she needed and give us time to plan for her future care needs.
Overall we were happy with service, except when we we didn’t get who we asked for. Sometimes they were a bit late. Found them all to be very polite and respectful. They would always ask if there was anything else I needed them to do for me.
My father has advancing dementia, is bedbound and is in a very challenging stage where hallucinations and aggression can come unpredictably. He requires both sensitive handling but also a degree of resilience and patience from the carers. Despite his sometimes challenging behaviour, they always treat him with the utmost care and respect for his dignity. The combination of good training and common sense has let them deal with the more difficult aspects of his care. I have a level of experience with the care sector - I used to prosecute care homes who breached their duties of care. It’s thus not easy for me to entrust my father’s well-being to others. Over the five years of employing Caremark, they’ve never made me question the trust that I’ve placed in them. Of all the services my father accesses (some NHS, some social services) it is Caremark who have remained the most trustworthy. Since I’m resident out of the UK, being able to rely on a care firm is vital. I can rely on them.
I needed to find a local care provider to take care of my father. I needed to make sure that the business would be agile and responsive to the needs of my father. For me that included management support that would respond quickly to my problems and understand quickly and without fuss what my father needed. The carers needed to understand what my father needed and how he wanted them to fit into his life, which for “live in” 24 hour care is so important. Caremark Thanet have delivered on all the above. It’s hard for me supporting my father in his own home, but being with Caremark has really helped make it possible.
We (the family) are very pleased and happy with the care my mother is receiving from the Caremark team. All the carers treat her with the utmost respect and courtesy and are truly caring and kind. The office ladies always keep me informed with any concerns they may have however minor and keep me informed of any changes to visit times even when only a half-hour difference. They are very reliable and have never let us down, getting there in all weather conditions.
Excellent service for my dad with Alzheimer's. Put care in place quickly and kept us fully informed of all issues or successes. Loved the app so we could see straight away what had been put in place/achieved and could leave a message if needed. Office staff are very friendly and always reassuring, happy to listen and put in place the support we needed. Cannot thank this team enough for the peace of mind and service, going over and above - first class.
We have a regular carer who we find is above excellent in all she does. She's amazingly considerate, does things needed without being prompted and is most thoughtful in all she does for my husband, who has advanced dementia. We had the occasion to use some other carers recently from Caremark as our usual domestic goddess was on annual leave; he was also of top-quality regarding the care and also patient with my hubby. We can't rate you more highly. Thanks to all concerned. I couldn't manage without you.
Caremark are providing a great service to my dad. The carers are respectful, kind, considerate and their companionship is helping in keeping Dad’s morale up. It is a great comfort to me knowing they are with him in his own home where he wants to be.
I have been with Caremark for 3-years and am very pleased with the service I receive, as they give me time to develop and grow at my own pace in my own home. I have the same person; this helps me to learn to trust and build a relationship to help me with my long term needs.
My sister, my mum and myself could not be happier with the care provided by our local Caremark. They listen to what their client, our mum, needs and make sure they do all they can to ensure that they give a great service. It is a massive relief knowing that when we cannot see Mum or help, they provide consistent care, with regular caregivers building a great and supportive relationship with our mum. She has had changing needs over the last year or so and we cannot fault the service and communication they provide both to Mum and us. We are confident that as her needs change again, so will the help they provide. Highly recommend.
Caremark began caring for my mother during waking nights just over a year ago and are now about to provide 24-hour care - I cannot recommend this company and it's amazing carers enough! They are the most professional and genuinely caring company we have come across - continuity is key and ensures peace of mind for the whole family all the time. Thank you!
Caremark Thanet have now been caring for my mum for just over 1 month and I have only admiration and praise for the manager and team of carers who are looking after her. I have worked in social care for over 35 years so feel I can judge if the carers and company have the right principles and ethos and they have. My mum lights up when the carers arrive and they show such compassion and care for her that it becomes the highlight of her day. It is very easy to communicate with all the team and the manager and if we request changes these are actioned promptly and correctly. The online care programme is amazing to keep us up to date with Mum's care and how she is.
Moving to Caremark from another provider several years ago was the best move that we have made. All carers treat my husband with great care and they advise me of any concerns that they may have. Staff are all very polite and show respect to both of us. Any concerns that I may have are dealt with promptly. It was definitely well worth going with a company a bit more expensive than the previous one.
I was very impressed with the way Caremark responded to my phone call almost immediately, where another agency totally ignored my message. I needed respite care for my mother who had had a fall and lost all her confidence. She’s is 91. The carers came twice a day, and Mum seemed to grow stronger by the day. It was lovely to hear that one lady had made her porridge with fruit and yoghurt on top. Their help has helped her get her confidence back and given me a break before my sister was able to help out.
My father was finding difficulty in keeping on top of general housework. We were recommended to Caremark after an initial appointment, he starting receiving help every week from a lovely young lady. Nothing was too much trouble. She got into a routine and built up a good rapport with my father. Living quite a distance away, it gave me peace of mind that there was an extra pair of eyes looking out for him. The company would ring if she noticed anything amiss, such as medication a little bit low, or he was in a low mood. He had the same lady every week, I timed his home shopping for her visits, and she put the shopping away for him, even making sure he had eaten before she left.
We had to change companies to Caremark earlier this year. It was at short notice but they were brilliant. We have 2 lovely ladies who give mum a shower twice a week. Mum has dementia and was forgetting to shower. She loves her shower sessions and they always have a laugh.
The service we receive is excellent. The staff are always, kind, friendly, efficient and helpful. In fact, they are all angels.
My husband recently had a birthday. I hired a wheelchair and my regular carers helped me to assist him to his garden party. Without them, it wouldn't have happened. Generally, my carers anticipate my husband's needs and fulfil them. I feel they care for me as well as my husband.
Excellent company, needed a live carer for my husband while I had a knee replacement, then help for me while on crutches. Everyone I have had contact with could not have been more helpful.
