View Full Details of Home Instead (West Norfolk)I would like to say thanks to Home Instead for their help and support. My mum's carers, two in particular, provided great care in the most trying of circumstances, they went well beyond the call of duty. I am certain that they made my mum's life much more pleasant than it otherwise would have been. I would recommend Home Instead without reservation.
After a prolonged period in hospital I contacted Home Instead to help me regain my independence. I found the first carer allocated to me was not suitable and she was quickly replaced by one who was willing to help in whatever way I asked for. At all times I was treated with respectful friendliness. Similarly managers were helpful and kind. I am now able to look after myself but if and when I need further help in the home, and can afford it, I will contact this company again.
We wanted some extra companion calls for Mum as she was starting to get more anxious due to the progression of her Alzheimer's. We had a meeting with the highly efficient and lovely manager and we were really impressed with how much detail and care was taken over in getting the right person to be a companion for Mum. The lovely care professional who took care of Mum was absolutely fantastic. Every effort was made to take Mum to places she loved visiting or if it was a rainy day, to do some baking, again something Mum really enjoys doing. All the care professionals had a lovely demeanour about them, being really caring and kind whilst giving Mum her dignity at all times. Very impressed with the whole organisation and would gladly recommend to others. Thank you everyone so much.
My dad needed additional help around the house for a few hours a day after an accident left him unable to do his various daily jobs - he also has mild dementia - and my sister and I live miles away and unfortunately were unable to help. Home Instead provided an incredible service; the initial consultation was extremely thorough and there was a real desire to want to get to know who Dad was as a person rather than just the jobs that needed doing. The care professionals were consistent so that dad built up a really good relationship with them and he was so happy for the good chats and level of care provided. The situation at home got more complicated and Home Instead went the extra mile to ensure more cover could be provided, even at few short notice, and my sister and I always felt we could rely on them. Everyone we met was kind, friendly, compassionate and professional and I would 100% recommend them to anyone wanting outstanding care for their loved one.
My mother-in-law and I have been very impressed with the professional caring service offered by Home Instead (West Norfolk). The care was tailored exactly to her needs. It was delivered with empathy and understanding and took into account her desire to be independent (notwithstanding her very advanced years!) The care was so amazing that my mother-in-law‘s difficulties are gradually being overcome and she will soon return to her old self, managing with minimal care. The service was professional throughout: from our initial enquiry to the actual point of hands-on care. I must add that the term Care Professional accurately describes the role of those who do the “caring work “and it is heartening to see their professionalism is recognised in this way. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who is looking for care that is offered with dignity and respect.
I contacted Home Instead (West Norfolk) as I was looking for a daily support package for when my mother was discharged from hospital. I met with the client support manager before my mother was discharged from hospital, and set up everything so it was ready to go, arranging for him to come out and meet my mother on discharge. My mother was discharged from hospital at the end of April and sadly things didn't go to plan, and she died a week later. But in that last week, the support from the team was exceptional and they certainly went the extra mile, collecting medication for me as I couldn't leave the house. A Home Instead carer was with Mum when she died, and what a delightful lady! I had gone out for the first time, but felt completely at ease leaving the house and the carer went the extra mile and stayed until Mum had left. Cannot recommend this team more highly.
My 95 year old Dad was very independent, living alone at home, and was very reluctant to have 'strangers' in the house. However, I encouraged him to agree to try Home Instead (West Norfolk) with visiting carers for three hours a week, to supplement my daily visits. I was very impressed with the initial meeting, and with the care Home Instead takes, not just of their clients, but also of their staff. Dad quickly got used to the carers, and I think in the short time - just a few months - that they visited him, there was an incredible consistency, and I think Dad only saw two different carers - not the 'constant stream of strangers' that he'd imagined. He very much took to both of them and I have no doubt that we would have increased the visits as time went on, but sadly Dad recently died. I'd like to thank Home Instead - in particular the two carers - for their kindness and care of my lovely Dad. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing such a service. Thank you.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who is supporting my dad and mum. I am so impressed and happy with the support they are receiving. All of his support team are lovely, kind and professional. As well as providing personal care, they offer companionship and show an interest in my dad's hobbies and life. They have taken time to get to know him and help him to remain at home. This means a great deal to him as it does to me. It's such a relief for myself to know he is being well supported and that my lovely mum has some support each day. As I am so far away, I can't visit as much as I would like to. The team encourage his independence and are flexible as well. But they give him goals and encourage him to keep going. I have nothing but praise and a big thank you to them all.
The carers that supported both my elderly parents treated them with kindness and respect and were all really lovely and genuine. Dad has dementia so difficult managing his personal care and him agreeing to have a shower, could have been beneficial to have a male to assist for this, as it may have made a difference to him agreeing to have a shower. Great communication with staff and management, would definitely use their services again and would recommend. Thank you.
I have been very pleased with the friendly, helpful service. I have been impressed with your professionalism and would not hesitate to recommend you to others in my situation. Nothing was too much trouble and you always had time for a friendly chat.
Our overall experience of Home Instead has been great. The carers have all been lovely and definitely have gone the extra mile to help our aunt. When care requirements changed last minute over the Christmas period they were still able to put some support in place, even though we were asking on Christmas day! The admin process has been mostly smooth and I felt confident the service our aunt was receiving was of a very high quality.
Home Instead as an organisation and the carers they provide have given my dad an excellent level of support, he was in compassionate safe hands. The staff's visit reports and app helped me have an up to date understanding of how things were after each visit. Staff were proactive in letting me know of upcoming needs such as ordering meds. They accompanied dad on a range of visits - from hospital, dentist to barbers - nothing was too much trouble. They filled in all the gaps in support I couldn't provide as I was at work. They are easy to contact and quick to return messages. I would recommend them 100%.
I would highly recommend Home Instead. My experience of the company as a whole has been excellent. The carers themselves were professional, kind and respectful to my mother over the past six months. The support team are quick to answer calls by phone or messages by email and ensure you speak to the most appropriate person. They do what they say they will do very effectively and efficiently and have come up with lots of excellent suggestions. If there has ever been an issue (which inevitably does happen from time to time) they have been proactive and professional in handling it and taking appropriate action. This is a particularly impressive quality. I think they highly deserve their Outstanding CQC rating.
Thank you for your continuous good quality care provided for my mum. The carers are all so kind and lovely and willing to go the extra mile to help in any way whilst always being Covid safe. This is very much appreciated. The communication has been very good and I appreciated receiving a schedule of care each week. Thank you.
Home Instead are providing care for my elderly parents and I live overseas. I came to the UK this year and worked with Home Instead as my parents were in crisis. Home Instead worked with extreme care, respect and diplomacy alongside an existing carer and myself to provide my parents with all the care and support they need and want. The communication is exemplary, the care plan is thorough, the service is very flexible/reliable and my parents' needs are paramount. I am so relieved knowing that this level of care and support is in place as my parents are proud and determined to remain in their own home despite significant health problems. Home Instead carers have been incredibly warm, skilled and enthusiastic and also provide my parents with much needed social contact, they have been well matched to my parents who now see them as 'friends'. The care co-ordination and admin/financial support plus the app have been superb, the 24/7 availability has been wonderful and the extra cost of Home Instead is worth every penny.
At very short notice Home Instead Senior Care sprang into action and helped me care for my mum upon her return home following a hospital admission and subsequent respite care. It was a very stressful time, and the support of the entire staff was invaluable. I cannot put into words how grateful I am. I would not hesitate to use again or recommend to others.
The three caregivers allocated to meet my mother's needs were so well matched in terms of skills and personality. They had a high degree of commitment and provided a professional service throughout. The only issue was the inability of Home Instead to attend at the most suitable times.
We opted to use Home Instead to assist my husband after he came home from hospital. We found the care provided to be excellent. The service was reliable, adaptable and focused on helping the individual rather than just another client. It literally helped my husband get back on his feet. Thank you so much.
A close friend needed care and after due consideration of available companies in our area, Home Instead was contacted. This has been an excellent move as the care and consideration provided by Home Instead and the carers have been exemplary. My friend is really happy with the care she is receiving, the kindness and thoughtfulness of all concerned with looking after her needs. An impressive and comprehensive servicing giving peace of mind to all.
My mother and father were attended by Home Instead in Kings Lynn for a couple of years with increasing support during this time. When father passed away earlier this year, the caregivers not only helped the whole family during a difficult period but enabled mum to continue living at home independently and with dignity. We are pleased to say that all the caregivers and management support we dealt with became friends and had a positive impact on all the family with the comfort of knowing mum was supported and well looked after.
