View Full Details of Home Instead (Basildon)Great service. Mum really enjoys the company and it's great that they help with things that she either might struggle to do, or forget to and that I know that someone is there to check on her, when I'm not able to.
Parents report carers to be friendly and chatty, also have engaged my dad well and included mum in things which is crucial to building trust as the first time accepting carers into their home. Dad has dementia and as such is confused but has accepted the carers to talk to.
Home Instead have been supporting my parents for almost a year, providing my dad with much needed respite as my mum has Alzheimer's and Vascular dementia. My parents have built a really good relationship with the carer and my mum considers her a very good friend, which is lovely and means we do not have to worry about mum and dad, and can go out with peace of mind. The service is reliable, supportive and essential for us and we couldn't be without it now. I am so grateful to the team.
Home Instead started caring for my parents at the beginning of the year. I honestly don't know what we would have done as a family without them over this past year. Both parents have had their health challenges including a broken ankle, broken hip with mixed dementia in the mix. The carers, office support and manager have been a constant, reliable support throughout this time. Always capable and totally professional in their approach. I feel that they go above and beyond and I will be forever grateful to them. Just knowing that they are going in to visit on a daily basis means that we have that additional peace of mind which has made such a difference especially with our own pressures of work and family commitments. Keep doing what you are doing as you are a fantastic team.
Home Instead have been providing care for my mum over four days a week, since the beginning of September. The care professionals who have assisted Mum have been brilliant! They have certainly made a difference to the quality of her life and of course, they have been invaluable in regards to easing the pressure and stresses felt by my sister and myself, when due to work and our own family commitments, we've been unable to be there for Mum during the days mentioned. They provided a wonderful service, thank you so much.
Home carers are in on the most part very caring and attentive, possibly some more training for some new staff until they adapt to the client, not sure if one shadowing is always sufficient. But overall the carers are excellent.
After suffering a brain haemorrhage, my mum was unrecognisable. Her personality had completely changed. She was angry, and irrational and suffered from severe anxiety. We tried other care companies with no success until we found Home Instead. Finally, a care company who stay the full-time; who build relationships and have patience. They've been really flexible and we're so grateful.
Home Instead have been providing care for my mother for just over a year. In that time, she has received excellent service. All the carers that have visited have been kind, considerate, helpful and able to accommodate any requests my mother makes or any changes we have need to make to the care plan, including adding and removing medication. Also, all the office staff I have dealt with have been very helpful, keeping me informed if there have been any changes to Mum's care (e.g. change of carer due to sickness etc). All in all, I am very pleased with the service provided by Home Instead.
I have found all the carers to be extremely professional yet friendly and approachable. The service they provide my Dad is excellent, nothing is too much for them, communication is brilliant and I am so grateful to everyone in the team for their help. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a carer.
My carers are always on time, and friendly and complete my service efficiently and with everything as it should be. They listen to my needs. I am happy with the care I receive and would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care.
From the first interaction with Home Instead, I have been reassured about their care and commitment to all their clients. I had several calls with the manager who answered messages and emails at all times of the day, showing me that she cared for her clients not only during office times but 24/7. There were some hiccups at the start but Home Instead work as a team and together they sorted the problems out efficiently and effectively. My aunt is their client and she soon formed a lovely relationship with all her carers and seeing her happy and talk about them reassured me I had made the right decision. I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead, they have been nothing but perfect and when I have been in need of help they have also been there for me and provided solutions to the issues that have arisen. The manager can be proud of all her team, they have certainly transformed my aunt's life and I am truly grateful to them all.
Home Instead have provided care for my dad for greater than 12 months. All staff are amazing, very helpful, and respond quickly to enquiries. The care staff that visit my dad are all really good and always complete what’s required. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for care services for themselves or a relative. They also have a well-organised back office team and the manager acts quickly on requests. In a difficult time for my dad, they have all certainly really helped. Thank you.
I am happy with the care company that provide care for my wife. Timekeeping is very good with occasionally prearranged changes that I can accept. The staff in the office are always prepared to help with any enquiry and the carers who attend my wife are very helpful, patient, reassuring and competent. My wife trusts the carers fully and is very pleased with the way they look after her.
Because I had a fall, I needed help quickly. Home Instead had a person here in three days. They never send anyone you haven't been introduced to. They arrive on time (traffic permitting) and stay the full-time. They are always cheerful and no situation seems to worry them. Ready to chat. Make a good cup of tea using leaves.
Aunt lives alone and the family live over 200 miles away, so decided to put a companion service in place in May 2022. Best decision we took. Home Instead offers a very professional and emphatic, bespoke service for their clients. Aunty was ideally matched to a care provider and is always introduced to any new staff. We are extremely pleased with the care Aunt receives and the staff are very caring and we feel go above and beyond in caring for our aunt. We have noticed a marked improvement with not only her health and hygiene but her well-being. She particularly enjoys the days out to the garden and shopping centres. The app is just brilliant, as living so far away we can log in and see a concise report of the service provided. It's a big relief for us as a family, as we know Aunt is receiving kindness, care and stimulation. Thank you all so very much.
The caregivers are mostly pleasant and friendly but I get cross when a cup, dish or plate is not on the draining board that I can reach when I'm on my own. Also when caregivers throw something away they sometimes don't tell me or ask me if they can.
Excellent service both at the management level and at the caregivers level. Easy, approachable and accommodating office staff. The caregivers are well trained, kind, helpful and respectful of the client's dignity. Two members of staff in particular are absolute stars.
The friendly caregivers and staff at Home Instead Basildon have been a pleasure to deal with. They have supported both us a family and our mum who has been receiving care as she progresses through the stages of Alzheimer's. In particular, thank you to the staff.
A very pleasant lady attends to my needs, nothing is too much trouble. I look forward to her visits.
I cannot fault the care my dad gets, his carer has become a good friend and nothing is too much trouble for her. The company keeps in regular contact with regular reviews on his care plan.
