View Full Details of Brockton Care LtdUnfortunately, Brockton advised us they could no longer meet my mother-in-law's needs. This was advised on a Friday evening with 5 days' notice. They had been providing care for over 6 months. My mother-in-law had carers twice a day to assist with taking her medication. We had asked Brockton to not arrive before 9 am and understood they could not do this which is why they ended the contract. My mother-in-law likes to be dressed and ready for the day before her carers arrive. My mother-in-law is so much happier since we were forced to move companies. So in the end it was a blessing Brockton could not meet her needs. At the time we thought the staff were okay, although they did tell my mother-in-law they were rushed to get to the next appointment on time. Care/support could not commit to even a rough timeframe and turned up when cancelled. Management and dignity score low for how they removed care, especially for someone with low needs. New company is cheaper and provides better service.
I'm overall very happy with the care I receive from Brockton Care Ltd. There were a few issues regarding times but that seems to be sorted now. Quite a few carers do go above and beyond in helping me with my daily life and I enjoy the social calls which really do break my week up. I admit I have reactive dogs that can be a bit much on their 1st visit but carers all are friendly and the dogs soon settle down, some they actually get excited about seeing. Although in a wheelchair I still class myself as quite independent so I cook my main evening meals, but they will make breakfast and lunch which is mostly of a good standard. Always greeted politely and exited in the same manner, with the motto "is there anything else I can do for you?" Good company!
First-class.
I have been very pleased with the care. I have received from all the carers at Brockton Care.
Brockton Care is a wonderful team that goes about their jobs with professionalism and compassion, they are a Godsend to myself and my wife.
Very good care from the carers, very sociable and efficient, good time-keeping. The office staff are very good but sometimes do not communicate messages which is worrying for myself if the carers will attend and when.
Brockton Care provided care for my mum for the last five weeks of her life and made her quality of life better, they came into our home with smiles and a sense of humour. The staff made Mum feel better about herself. Thank you all so much.
The service provided by all the carers is excellent. I speak very highly of the service provided and almost talk about them as friends.
Mum only had her carers for a few days before she passed away. The initial care meeting and all visits were very professional with such care shown in helping with her personal care. The level of care was increased without question when needed. It made such a difference to Mum’s well-being and to our peace of mind.
The carers are extremely competent in their care. Nothing has been any trouble to them and always willing to help and I never have to ask twice. They are great at remembering where things are kept. I don't know how they do it when they have so many to look after each. It is a pleasure to know the carers. The people in the office are always so nice and very helpful.
Main carers are excellent both are kind and very understanding as I have multiple ailments the two main being Parkinson's and type 2 diabetes which accounts for my poor writing. The others are substantial coping with a very tight timetable but cope very well and always cheerful, friendly and helpful.
I have always found our carers excellent in their care, attitude, and kindness. They are always on time and have a great deal of patience with him, I would be pleased to recommend Brockton Care to my friends and relatives. Very pleased with care in all aspects. Yours faithfully.
The care that I have from Brockton is usually top-notch. I have elastic stockings that go up to my bottom which are extremely awkward to put on, I have an ActiGlide that is used and I showed some of the carers how to use it as I think I am the only one to have stockings this high. Overall the carers are very caring and are lovely girls and boys. I always say thank you because they are so nice.
Carers are friendly, kind, patient, competent and discreet. Most will voluntarily carry out extra tasks that they see need doing, even if not directly requested by me. I have found them completely trustworthy. Office management could be better. Carers are sometimes given overlapping or clashing calls, with little regard for walking distance and travelling time. Phone calls are always answered promptly, but I wish staff would give their names when answering.
All the staff at Brockton care have treated mum with excellent care and attention. Not just with her physical needs (dressing, washing, movement) but making her laugh, singing silly songs with her, just little things that add up to big things but couldn't be put into an actual contract. They are all part of the family.
Both my wife and myself are very satisfied with the carers and the work they do. On odd occasions, the office (management) has been a bit lax in communication regarding any problems that may arise, carers sick etc. The carers are a fairly close-knit community and help each other out and without being nasty, it is them that help Brockton Care to look good. I am not being harsh in saying this and by no means is the company bad.
Staff are perfectly polite. Punctuality is a concern. Mum seems to like all the staff. The first morning visit and then lunchtime visit are too close together - 1030 and then 1200. Would prefer an earlier first call. 0830 - 0930 would be better.
The care provided is excellent and take great comfort in the knowledge that my welfare is being looked after to the highest standard.
