View Full Details of Bluebird Care Mid EssexThis last year has been difficult following the passing of my wife of 50 years in November 2023, however the carers regular visits has been one of the highlights. A happy smile and friendly disposition always acompanies her work always willing to carry out he talk and friendly suggestions to help my life improve. Thank you
I have been asked to review Bluebird due to their CQC inspection coming up. They have some good carers, my father enjoyed the company, and I feel the carers enjoyed his. The reason for my rating was sadly the carers at the time felt my father needed an ambulance and I was not informed. (I only noticed when I saw the ambulance appear at the ring doorbell). He sadly passed away an hour later, it turns out that they was calling his mobile rather than myself as the next of kin. So I never had the time to get there and be by his side.
As always, Bluebird Care has been reliable, competent and efficient. As a sole carer, I place great value on their support. Their communications are good which is of special note. The care attendants who come make my wife happy. As she is an advanced Alzheimer's patient, this is very important and no mean feat!
Blue Birds have transformed my dad’s life. In the 12 months they have helped him, his quality of life has dramatically improved. He looks forward to his carers arriving and is very fond of one of the carers. From my point of view, they have supported me enormously, I can rest easier knowing that he is taking his medicines now and having breakfast, that his catheter bag is being changed and looked after and that he makes it up the stairs safely in the evening. Blue Birds even pick up his tablets and deal directly with his doctors/pharmacy meaning I don’t have to constantly take time off work or step into the corridors to have phone calls. Thank you Blue Birds!
Bluebird listen and do their best to interpret what is needed but also go further, by making suggestions based on their experience and expertise. My Mum was very happy to see the carers from Bluebird and they helped her to live where she wanted for longer than might have been possible. Whenever I contacted them I received a full and helpful response. On more than one occasion they went above and beyond which I have no doubt made a huge and happier outcome than could have been the case.
Bluebird have been caring for my mum for almost 3 years now and they are amazing. This agency is extremely professional and well organised, which was what we needed after the previous agency we used. In the beginning, the manager and team came to visit our home and met with my mum, dad, my sister and I. They were able to give us advice about the care they would provide and reassure us they would meet Mum's caring needs (she has a rare degenerative brain disease and requires specialist care). We have a team of around 12 carers who look after Mum. She has 2 carers, 4 times a day. They are always punctual, polite, caring and compassionate. They are all skilled in various areas of caring and my mum is always treated with respect and dignity at all times. All visits are recorded in a file, left at our home. The carers give us confidence in looking after my mum which is a blessing to us at this hard time. We will always be grateful for their help during this most difficult time.
We cannot thank Bluebird Care enough for everything they did for our dad. They were so considerate and caring, not just for Dad's needs, but also with our needs as Dad’s kids. We couldn’t have gone through Dad’s last couple of months without them. We had a truly lovely lady for our resident carer, plus daily visits twice a day from other Bluebird carers. One person was our main contact plus one of the carers, and she made a very sad situation a good one. Just seeing her smile and laugh with Dad could turn a rubbish situation around. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Both of my parents were diagnosed with dementia, in 2017 and 2019 respectively. It was evident that they were failing to carry out many domestic chores independently. Both of the parents were reluctant to accept any form of professional help. In January 2020 we were able to get them to accept a short visit by Bluebird Care to administer cream to a wound on our mother's leg. Bit by bit Bluebird, with our full agreement, diplomatically stepped up the level of care to three visits per day, including an extended 'companionship' visit in the middle of the day. At times our parents could be a challenge, but the carers always dealt with them in a sympathetic and very kind way - not helped by the pandemic. In February 2022 our parents were moved into a care home, partly on the prompting of Bluebird. I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird to anyone. They offered a fantastic service and each individual carer became an essential part of our parent's support and care, often way beyond their remit.
My mother is supported by Bluebird and the visits help her to continue to live in her own home. She values the friendliness and assistance she gets from her helpers who are conscientious and caring. Using the app means the family can keep in touch with what the carers are doing for her and the carers always leave an informative note after a visit. Finally, the support we get from the Chelmsford office is a huge part of why Bluebird provides an excellent all-round service.
The care workers from Bluebird provided excellent care and support for my dad, who was living with advanced mixed dementia. The knowledge built up from care visits in the earlier stages of Dad's illness meant that the care workers were still able to connect with Dad in the latter stages of his illness when he needed full-time care as they could remember and relate to Dad's stories from his past, which gave him great comfort and joy. The live-in care meant that Dad was able to stay in his home until the end. It was also a great comfort to me knowing that the service was 100% reliable, and the standard of care was always first class, with staff regularly being assessed. The notes on the app also meant that I could keep up to date with what was happening in terms of Dad's care - how well he was eating and communicating etc.
An amazing experience, staff very friendly and patient, they go above and beyond. Nothing is too much. Both office staff and care staff are ready and able to help. I would definitely recommend this service.
The relief carer we had for my mother was exceptional. She was kind, cheerful, hard working and conscientious. Definitely top of the class. Our main carer is also excellent and we think of her as part of the family. It is a very personal relationship and can take a while to find the right person but we are very happy with the two ladies referred to.
Since June 2021 my mum has been receiving care from this amazing company and carers and managers. My mum is fiercely independent and was very against having carers in to help her and especially washing her. They have all been so kind, discreet, friendly and reassuring and professional in every way to mum and to myself, as I live quite a distance away and cannot be there daily but do go two full days a week. In October I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my sister with a hip replacement operation all at the same time so there would be no one to visit or do all the washing and cleaning that I do and other things my sister does so we had panic and urgent help. The Manager at Chelmsford immediately offered their services and support and helped to put in place full care and domestic cleaning once a week etc. so we could have that extreme worry taken off our shoulders as a family. My mum has been happy and extremely well cared for and any issues we are informed of immediately.
Great communication and care. Any small problems have quickly been resolved. Mum is very happy with Bluebird and so are the family.
Bluebird has been caring for Mum for two and a half years and they do a wonderful job looking after her. The carers are always friendly and cheerful and treat her with respect and dignity. They also inform me immediately of any care concerns that arise and have been quick to organise any relevant equipment needed to keep her safe. They have taken the pressure off me and given me peace of mind knowing that Mum is being well looked after. I would highly recommend them, the team are very professional, patient and caring.
I cannot fault the services my mother has received from Bluebird Care. The staff are attentive to her needs and keep the family informed of any changes they observe. Carers have often gone the extra mile to ensure mums safety and well-being, whilst encouraging independence relevant to her abilities. It's been a source of comfort being cared for by the same carers each week with few changes to staff, familiarity and continuity speak volumes. Thank you
Bluebird were such a dedicated team of carers, who often went the extra mile. It was a stressful time for Dad and his family, so we were relieved to know Dad was in good hands. We appreciated the support and regular communication from them. We are so thankful for the care, kindness and dignity shown to Dad, through to his last days, by Bluebird carers.
My carer is a good friend and she works hard to keep my house clean. We have some lovely conversations.
Excellent care couldn't wish for better, just what I needed. Don't waste time, they come in, get on with the job. Staff answer questions and if they don't know the answer, they will find out. I am most grateful to everyone.
Overall very pleased.
