View Full Details of My Care at HomeAll of the carers who have come to help mum and dad, have been kind, considerate, check the things I have asked of them, put the vacuum cleaner round if dad has asked and provided lovely companionship. Both mum and dad have Alzheimer's and vascular dementia in different degrees and everyone has been so kind. Mum especially loves a chat.
I have been very pleased with the help and kindness of all your staff. We have enjoyed many chats about family and friends, they are always cheerful and brighten up my day.
Highly satisfactory in every way.
Staff at My Care at Home, Stowmarket, Suffolk always go above and beyond to help look after my mum, now 96, with advanced Alzheimer's and in her own bungalow. They provide companionship, mealtime help, jigsaws, a 'dog' (which she loves) and other activities. I can't praise them enough.
I have happy experience of all carers. Some I get to know as they come more often. They also get to where things are and a usual routine. I have found all carers helpful when some different to normal things occurs they can help me with - within their remit. Thank you.
Totally satisfied. How do you improve on perfection?
My Care at Home stepped in to provide care for my mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Their twice-weekly visits provided the discrete support we asked for. They helped keep her kitchen clean, checked the freshness of fridge contents, provided companionship, assistance with shopping and whatever she needed on the day. The ladies were so kind and patient and Mum looked forward to their visits. The communication we received from My Care was very thorough and professional but sensitive and compassionate at the same time. Lovely people. Highly recommend.
Due to complications in my Mum's health, My Care at Home only cared for my Mum for a short period of time, however, they came on board at short notice and we were very grateful for their help. Mum found them to be respectful and caring and our only regret is that this couldn't continue in her own home and due to her complex needs she is now in residential care. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.
We have nothing but appreciation for the straightforward and caring way My Care at Home supports my 97-year-old aunt to remain in her own home. The carers are all so considerate, respectful and helpful, nothing seems to be too much for them. My aunt says they are all so friendly. Management are great too. They let us know what’s happening regularly and respond very quickly to requests. A great company which we feel so lucky to have found.
My mother-in-law has recently started receiving visits from My Care at Home. The visits are mainly for companionship and help around the house. She is very happy with the visits and the carers that have been out to her. They are very respectful, kind, and considerate and will do whatever my mother-in-law would like to do that day, be it going out to run errands together or help around the house. She likes how they help her forget about her various ailments. She says they make her smile. It is very reassuring when we speak to my mother-in-law about how the visits have gone and how she has been treated. We couldn’t ask for a better service, and we are very grateful to My Care at Home for the wonderful care they are providing.
The care my nan has received from My Care at Home has been brilliant. Each member of staff who care for her show her such kindness and care. If they have any concerns on their visits they are great at being in touch with me, the communication has been great. Further to that they are very organised in planning their rotas, notifying us which carer is coming and at what time each week and if anything changes they will let me or my nan know. I feel that all the carers make an effort to get to know my nan, they come alongside and befriend her- there is no rushing in and getting the job done quickly. She feels valued by them and values them as we do as a family.
I give a recent example of their outstanding care. My 94-year-old mother who thanks to My care has been able to remain in her own home. But recently she was found slumped in her chair by my sister at 7.20 in the evening. We feared a stroke. My sister called me (I live an hour away) but also the on-duty person at My Care. They came around immediately, checked Mum, gave my sister huge support and phoned 999 who sent an ambulance. I think this goes well beyond what we would have expected although to be honest this does seem to typify My Care and the care they give to customers. Their communication is outstanding. My mother had a minor TIA and is well on the way to coming home again.
Excellent and consistent service with a personal touch. Care has been provided to both of my parents for over three years without even one no-show the whole time. My Care at Home provides both a high level of care and companionship.
I have been a client of My Care at Home for around seven years now and although some of the carers and staff have changed in that time, the care has not. All carers are trained to a very high standard and carry out all tasks not only in a professional manner but also are very personable without breaching boundaries. Personal care is always carried out in the most dignified way possible whatever my needs. The rotas are sent out on the Friday before the week begins and there are rarely changes from this. I feel safe and comfortable with the care I receive knowing that I can confide in a carer or staff member if I need to and they will not betray my trust in any way. I think the fact that there are staff who have been with the company as long as I have or longer is a testament to My Care’s exceptional care of both their staff and clients.
I cannot speak highly enough of My Care at Home. When I was looking for care for my husband I preferred to have a local company. My daughter-in-law suggested this company as she knew one of the owners. It was the best thing we did for my husband. Everybody is so caring and we felt we were part of one big family. They also helped me as I looked forward to being able to chat with them and we looked forward to their visits. Unfortunately, my husband had to be admitted to hospital and we were then advised he should go into full-time nursing care. We will miss our time with them as we came to regard everybody as our friends.
We have been surprised by the breadth and depth of support we have received from My Care At Home. Their observations have been extremely helpful and communication, with both ourselves and health services, invaluable. Staff are faultlessly professional and have relieved us of worry on many levels. Initially our parents were resistant to having home care but have found the practical support, daily contact and developing relationships with staff both stimulating and reassuring. We would unreservedly recommend My Care At Home to other families in our area.
My husband had My Care at Home support for around a year. Unfortunately due to his illness he's being looked after elsewhere. In that time, they were very supportive to my husband and myself, they informed me if unforseen issues arose when couldn't get cover on the odd occasion. The carers who came were very understanding of my husband's needs and treated him with respect and had time for him especially after we had block care. I can't name names but one stood out and we are very grateful to that person.
The process of getting my mother registered was very quick but also very thorough. Visits started within a few days after I was emailed a rota with times and names of the carers visits. Any unavoidable changes due to illness etc. are emailed promptly. It is a great comfort to have someone calling on my mother every morning for a chat and make sure she is ok. She really looks forward to the visits and she is so much brighter and more positive.
This is the first time I have used a carer service. I was initially extremely impressed with the Care Manager visit as there was clear regard to safety guidelines for both the carer and the client; my partner's needs were considered and assessed - it was extremely thorough, in a good way! The carers are clearly extremely well trained with how to care for someone with dementia. They carry out light housework and also sit with my partner for lunch and chat to him. They are caring and respectful of us and our home and, as I found with the care manager, they are extremely professional in all they do. I feel completely at home with inviting them to look after my partner, knowing he is safe and happy in their company. Importantly, you can rely on the carer turning up - if there is a last minute issue, the office sort it so you always have cover thus I can book appointments knowing I won't have to cancel at the last minute. On Fridays, you get confirmation for the following week.
My Care at Home provides an excellent service. The administration team were always very helpful and accommodating. The carers were very respectful of my parents' wishes and carried out all tasks diligently. We would highly recommend this service.
