View Full Details of Bluebird Care Camden & HampsteadBluebird Hampstead and Camden are exemplary in providing support and practical assistance. Whoever you deal with is hugely kind and understanding and they help navigate the challenges we're all facing in keeping someone in their own home.
We researched care providers and narrowed our selection to two possibilities. Only Bluebird Care had the flexibility we need. In every way the company has gone on and exceeded expectations. The wonderful care giver in our home is now a friend for life.
I am delighted with both my carers. They are caring and are willing to be helpful in any way they can. I do feel that I am getting value for money. Importantly, both ladies are good communicators and also with my wife. I randomly chose Bluebird Care and I know I made the right choice. I would always recommend Bluebird to anyone who might need help with care. My carers are totally reliable, caring and provide the excellent help which I need.
It is with heavy hearts that we have had to give notice to Bluebird due to my mother’s care being taken over by the local council. The service my mother has received over the past two years has been outstanding. From the very beginning, the team have been empathic, kind and knowledgeable. The regular care workers have been just amazing and I know the whole family will miss them. I cannot recommend Bluebird highly enough. Thank you!
Bluebird provides daily home care for a friend who is bed-bound and has dementia. The carers are kind, professional, and punctual. If problems arise - which is rare - it is easy to discuss them with the manager, either by phone or when she visits the house. She understands what is needed and chooses exactly the right carers. I warmly recommend Bluebird.
I am a retired architect, and am next of kin for my mum's uncle, who is an 86 year old retired university professor with early onset dementia and is physically partially disabled, and who lives alone in a mansion block upper floor flat in central London. Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead provided support care when he started needing support, in the form of midday home visits of an hour each, gradually building to several visits a week, and help with:- Taking medication [a lot] regularly and in order. Shopping; keeping diary; occasional basic IT support with e-mails, online banking; being present when showering in case. Recovery after falls, checking the fridge and kitchen cleanliness etc [not cleaning]. Monitoring and assisting, sometimes accompanying, to local medical appointments, collecting prescriptions. Wardrobe upgrades General companionship
I feel confident with my carer, she had control when she took me abroad. I feel she was excellent in everything she did for me and we worked as a team. She went beyond expectations and I also feel that the Bluebird Care team supported me with booking and arranging the holiday and had good communication. The supervisor had good attention to detail and was my main point of contact, I felt supported the whole time.
Bluebird Care was able to supply my mother's extra care needs at short notice when her sudden change in health reduced her mobility. The office staff were excellent and efficient in their response to calls and requests.
Wonderful care agency with efficient professional staff. All are incredibly caring and compassionate yet objective. They are reliable and my sister looks forward to their visits. These are documented daily which enables me to be in the loop.
We have had an excellent part-time carer for my husband since he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2018, since a recurrence in 2022 we had extra carers 24/7 doing day and night shifts. All have been capable, reliable and trustworthy and a pleasure to have around. They look after my welfare as well as my husband's.
We are very happy with the care Bluebird has provided for our stepmother. The carer has been amazing and has gone above and beyond during the end stages of her life.
Bluebird Camden and Hampstead have been providing care for my aunt and uncle since the middle of 2021, starting with one visit per day then increasing to two daily visits and as care needs increased to a live-in carer and a waking night carer. All of the carers have been professional, kind and most importantly caring. Of late under very difficult circumstances the carers have gone above and beyond to make sure my aunts and uncles wishes were at the forefront of the care they received. Also, I would like to mention the professional backup from the head office, my main contact being the customer service manager who dealt with everything in a friendly and efficient way, as my aunt and uncles care needs changed and increased. To summarise I would recommend highly the team at Bluebird Camden and Hampstead if you have any care needs, as peace of mind that your family member is being cared for well is priceless.
In general, very satisfied. But I don't like being sent younger carers and having to show them everything that needs doing.
I have balance problems and a deteriorating spine which makes walking difficult. I was looking for someone once a week to assist me and get me out of the house. I had parks, galleries and museums on my wish list. Then it was March 2020 and Covid-19 happened. All the above had to be changed to ‘taking exercise’ and buying oddments from local chemist and food shops. Occasionally, we would take a taxi to the bank at Marylebone for a change of scene, though everything was shut. Fortunately, I have the most wonderful, helpful and patient carer and her cheerful companionship has helped me through the lonely monotonous lockdowns. It meant my daughter, who lives out of London, was able to resume teaching without constantly worrying how I was. I have high praise for the office staff too. They have kept going in their friendly way, politely and efficiently, which cannot always have been easy working from home. I have the highest praise for Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead and would definitely recommend them.
Bluebird Camden provided day and night care for my terminally ill 93-year-old mother. They were very kind, gentle, responsive to and respectful of her needs and her preferences. They made sure I was aware of important issues such as skincare, and of course, dealt with these in their care of her. They provided emergency care at short notice and were very courteous, reliable and efficient - very easy to deal with and accessible. I would definitely engage them again if the need arose.
I am a private carer and needed an agency to bridge the care I was providing to my elderly client as her condition deteriorated and I can not recommend Bluebird enough. The member of staff who I initially spoke to, was so helpful and understanding of a quite complicated situation. The supervisor and the carers were all so helpful, smiley and very willing. The lady who arranges the schedules (I think) added in extra visits as short notice, nothing was to much trouble. The communication seems to be spot on and that is key in this sector. In fact, everybody I spoke to, throughout the last couple of months at Bluebird was brilliant. This is how an agency should work - they are a breath of fresh air and supported my client well and also gave me peace of mind. Thanks, Bluebird.
We have had a fantastic experience with Bluebird Care, and I would highly recommend them. They got the measure of my mum and her needs very quickly and assigned a fantastic carer who suits Mum perfectly. She has revolutionised Mum’s life and ours and enabled us all to live a much easier life. It’s very hard to know where to start when you first find that a relative needs care and Bluebird were and are very supportive.
Dreadful, dreadful experience dealing with this company. Where do I begin to start? A fiasco from start to finish. Some carers (nice uniform but that’s about it) bad. Some lazy, some incompetent, some ok. The admin staff member is a bully. I mean a bully the way she spoke time and again, even though I was nothing but polite. Was a disgrace. We were paying ourselves, not using social services money but must've been not paying enough £70 per week as quickly and abruptly got knocked off their books just before Xmas. Probably to make way for bigger paying clients. Left me in the lurch with no carers at all. Had to knock the carers down to one hour as was walking out and leaving my dad after half an hour on his own. A vulnerable dementia sufferer, time, and time again it was happening. I let them get away with it then when I complained it was "oh carer ill/got to pick child up from school", making excuses for the carer. I couldn’t believe it while being sarcastic to me!! Must've gone through 8 different carers in 9 months.
My aunt, aged 95, was diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer's disease. In November 2017 I was asked by the consultant to arrange daycare for her (she was a self-funder). From the lists of agencies given me by the social worker, I chose Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead as it was the only agency with an outstanding rating by the CQC. They provided carers to wash and dress her, cook her meals, clean her flat, and do the laundry and shopping. There was continuity of care as the same carer did the majority of the day's visits and the laundry, cleaning and shopping. This helped my aunt to build rapport. After every visit, I received a detailed report on-line. The carers were conscientious, intelligent and caring towards my aunt. From August 2018, I was told by the consultant to arrange care throughout the night. Bluebird provided this "waking nights" service. In February 2019 my aunt ceased to be a self-funder, and she moved into the care home in June. The Bluebird carers visited her as a friend.
I cared for my mother, who had advanced Alzheimer’s, for the past 4 years and used Bluebird Care for support with her care needs. I can honestly say, that I was so very fortunate and grateful to have the amazing carers that I did. Mum's regular carers were knowledgeable, empathetic, professional and client-focused. A few took caring to a different level and were excellent, resourceful and effective. They taught me so much as well as learning themselves from our experience as a family. They followed the care plan implicitly, understanding and respecting the demands and behaviours of mum's illness and provided much needed emotional and practical support and solutions as well. I will miss this company’s input into our lives and can’t recommend them enough.
