View Full Details of TayCare at HomeHad TayCare since January 2024 to provide an hour of assistance to Mum in the mornings helping with showering, getting dressed, checking she had lunch available, medication had been taken and that she had plenty of fluids for drinking during the day. All the carers were of a very high standard. They took to Mum very well and she responded to them and looked on them as 'her girls'. There was a relationship with each one, she got to know their backgrounds, their stories and their hobbies. In turn they adored her and it was with great sadness that, due to her mobility issues, we decided to look after her ourselves which meant moving away from Dundee. Can't rate TayCare highly enough, their care staff were just the tonic Mum needed at the right time.
What can we say about TayCare. Absolutely amazing staff, professional, caring and just a joy to have in the house. They have looked after our father (who passed suddenly) and continued to care for our stepmum. Due to the decline of our stepmum's health it was unsafe for her to stay at home. TayCare helped my family in the most difficult of times, we honestly don't know what we would have done without them. They treated both parents with the respect and care and also went out their way to assist and keep us updated on everything that was going on. Nothing was too much for the staff who provided the care and the amazing staff behind the scenes. Honestly can't highly recommend Taycare enough. 10/10 perfect.
I cannot rate TayCare highly enough for the exceptional care they gave my Mum for the past 4 years. The Managers are really generous with their advice and extremely knowledgeable, and the carers themselves were kind, competent, lovely people, who were genuinely interested in my Mum. We were so happy to have them looking after Mum the way they did before she went into a Care Home. Truly an outstanding Care Company.
I can't thank TayCare and the carers enough, for having stepped in at short notice to help me for a month after I broke my arm. They were faultless in helping me with all the things that were tiring, difficult ot impossible for an 87-year-old on her own with only one useable arm: showering, dressing and various household jobs like washing up, hanging washing, putting things way, etc. All done efficiently and cheerfully. Many thanks!
Started using TayCare at Home in January who provide 1 hour per day assistance for my mother-in-law. This service means she is showered most days, given help to dress, and do the physical exercises recommended by her physician. They check she has something available for lunch and tea, make sure she has adequate liquids to drink and make her bed. She enjoys the interaction with the carers and looks forward to their visits. This service has given her a tremendous lift physically and mentally and can only be highly recommended.
My mum had carers twice daily for a week following her cataract operation. She was feeling anxious about the post-op period so having the carers come in was a huge help with heating up meals and light household chores and knowing someone would be popping in twice daily eased the worry. She received excellent care and was treated with respect and dignity. It helped her confidence and she enjoyed the chats. It also put my mind at ease (I live in London). She felt very well looked after and we would not hesitate to use TayCare at Home again. Thank you.
I recently required help at home after being hospitalised for a total hip replacement. My husband has Alzheimer's and I am his carer. I received wonderful help with my husband's personal care from TayCare at Home staff. They also carried out household chores and made meals for us. Every one of them were so helpful and professional. Thank you all for your great service. I would highly recommend TayCare at Home.
The care my gran has received is outstanding the patience and time they take with her. Her personal care like washing and dressing is outstanding, and preparing her meals is also well done.
Service was excellent. The care and attention to my mother-in-law and myself were exactly what was needed. Staff friendly and became a household friend to us both. Would highly recommend taycare for your needs
We had TayCare at Home services to look after my dad and support Mum with care, four times a day. It was a huge change and an invasion in their home but the staff treated them with compassion and dignity at all times. The staff all had very high standards of personal care for Dad, ensuring all his needs were met. They were very supportive of both of them, for their health and wellbeing. It reassured us as a family that they were in excellent hands, nothing too much trouble, notified immediately if only concerns. I would highly recommend this excellent team.
All of your staff involved in my aunt's care were caring, professional and lovely people. They listened to my aunt taking care of her needs. When she was able to would chat and have fun with her. They treated her with dignity. Also, they were supportive of me and other family members. We always felt we could reply on them and turn to them if we had any problems. Can't praise them enough.
My first impression of TayCare was that it is a professionally run organisation with well-informed managers and carers. We worked with managers to decide on a suitable care plan for my mother that allowed her to remain living in the family home for as long as possible. The service was implemented quickly and we had regular reviews to ensure my mother was receiving the care she required. All carers built rapport quickly with my mother and she looked forward to seeing them. As my mother's health deteriorated, the staff adjusted their visits to suit her needs. I would recommend TayCare to anyone who requires care in their own home.
TayCare at Home have been my mum's carers for nearly four years. We cannot fault them, wonderful staff, on time or we're contacted straight away. They are always professional, kind, cheerful and brighten up my mum's day. Nothing is too much trouble. I'm so glad we found them.
TayCare at Home looked after my mother at home for years until she went into a nursing home. The staff were brilliant, professional, polite, understanding and all had a sense of humour which is always a good thing in our opinion, they spent time talking and listening to my mother as well as making her meals and carrying out their duties. My mother really appreciated their efforts as I also did even when at times Mum could be difficult. The manager who I spoke to personally and by email was always very helpful and professional. If for some reason the nursing home doesn’t work out for her, TayCare are the people I would want to look after her. Thank you.
I have no hesitation in recommending TayCare at Home for the way they looked after my mother for the last seven months of her life. Thanks to TayCare, my mother was able to stay in the familiar surroundings and in the comfort of her home. I was at home for five weeks while the team looked after my mother and I could see first-hand how professional, positive and uplifting their visits were. My mum got to know the team very well and they bonded with each other. When there were concerns about my mother's health, the team was always proactive and quick to inform us, the district nurses and the surgery. There was a family feel about TayCare and my mother loved the stories that the carers told her and they also were interested in my mother's stories and got to know the family well. Two of the carers turned up for my mother's funeral in the middle of busy working days and I was happy to see them, to thank them and to praise them in front of my extended family. Heartfelt thanks from all my family.
Our mother has had carers from TayCare at Home visiting her three times a day since January and it has helped her and us tremendously. The carers have been very reliable and helpful. It has been so reassuring to know her medication and needs are being cared for daily. The timings of her visits are perfect to give her day routine and work around her meal times too.
My mum received exceptional care and looked forward to her daily visits from her carers. It was more a social need by Mum as she liked to keep her independence for as long as possible. She loved the chat she had with the carers and it was very important to her.
Extremely happy with the care my wife has received from all of the carers. I have no complaints whatsoever. My wife, who has dementia, has taken to them well. Long may it continue.
Brilliant service from all the carers that look after our mum. Especially, to the lovely young carer for her quick reaction when Mum had a hypo and nearly went into a coma. But thanks a million to that staff member for raising the alarm, Mum is now safely back at home.
Mum has been cared by the team at TayCare at Home since breaking her shoulder more than twelve months ago. Initial response, engagement and care plan were all excellent, allowing Mum to rehabilitate at home and retain her independence. Mum has had further health setbacks including a long stay in hospital in September which required a review of her needs. This was done seamlessly with TayCare supervisors engaging and coordinating with social services to put in place a revised package of care which is now subject to ongoing review to ensure Mum's needs are met. The TayCare team also supported me through this journey which I very much appreciated. I have not encountered one person in this organisation that is not willing to help and support my mother's needs, this extends from new start carers to management. Well done and my heartfelt thanks to you all.
