View Full Details of Alina Homecare BrightonFrom the initial assessment of my father's care needs till the last conversation I had with the Branch manager I found Alina Homecare to be of high standard. On the rare occasion over a period of 4 months when I had any cause for concern, any issue was dealt with professionally and kindly which was very reassuring for me as I am my parents only family member. Any telephone contact I had with the Manager or other members of the team was very respectful, helpful and dealt with in a timely manner. When I met the care staff they were happy to listen to any comments I had about my father's care and were reliable and hardworking. Thankfully my father no longer requires as much care as he did when he was first discharged form rehabilitation after a fall at home. However as a family we know that Alina Homecare would be there if they were needed at any point in the future which is a huge weight off my mind. I would certainly recommend Alina Homecare highly to anyone.
Alina Homecare has been nothing but professional, supportive, knowledgeable and totally caring throughout their care for my mother. The ladies who attended Mum at home were like her family and companions but always put her health and care first with professionalism, kindness and compassion. They went above and beyond in many ways to make my mothers days that little bit brighter. They cooked and cleaned as well as taking care of all her personal and medical needs without question. Whenever there was an issue, a slight cause for concern they were in contact with us immediately and dealt with everything where we could not. The team in the office were always available for updates, a chat, reassurance and a kind word. I cannot recommend Alina enough and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
When my elderly Dad ended up in hospital we realised that Mum and Dad's days of being independent were over. Sadly Dad passed away a couple of months later and because of distance, as a family, we weren't able to provide the care and contact Mum needed as often as she needed so we needed some help to provide regular support for Mum who wanted to stay at home. Initially Mum wasn't keen on the idea but the care team at Alina have been brilliant. They treat Mum as an individual, with respect and everyone in the team works well with her to make sure she is safe and has help with things she wouldn't be able to do herself. She trusts them and we trust them totally. They are professional but human with it. I know what's going on because the care plan is on an app I have access to. They communicate very well and have been flexible to suit Mum when that has been needed to accommodate appointments. I totally recommend Alina Homecare - it's been a lifeline for us. Mum is very happy and so are we!
I found Alina Care to be very professional and a great company to liaise with. The carer we had was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for her, she looked after my husband extremely well, I went away with ease knowing he would be in good hands. I will definitely be using them next time.
My wife has been cared for in a most professional manner for the last 3 years. During this time she has made not only carers but very social friendships with all the pink ladies. This was very comforting for my wife as her condition deteriorated. Bless you all, you're simply the best.
Alina Homecare were able to provide us with three nights of overnight care for my mother following an accident. This was done at very short notice and they made a real effort to try and accommodate us, for which I was extremely grateful. The overnight carer was lovely and extremely kind and helpful with my mother.
I cannot rate Alina highly enough. From first contact with the management team onwards, the team have been understanding, empathic and professional. The carers for my mum have treated her with sensitivity, respect and good humour. Mum adores her 'pink ladies' as she calls them and trusts them implicitly. She enjoys her time with them and feels safe and secure in their care. So many thanks to you all for everything you do for my mum, and also the support you give to my dad who is her main carer. The app facility is brilliant as I can see in real-time detailed notes from each visit which is very reassuring. Highly highly recommend Alina - A* service.
We have been very pleased with the service provided by Alina for our mum with Alzheimer’s, particularly when Mum has been very uncooperative. Professional and mindful of the disease. We are particularly grateful for the manager who has gone over and above what was necessary to help us
My partner has had to rely on Alina Care since being discharged from the hospital in November. From Day One when she was assessed till currently, she has experienced personal care. This has been carried out with professional, dignified, and expert care and deep respect. Thank you so much, couldn't have got where we are without it!!
I was discharged from a respite care home on 22nd June 2023 to my home which is a bungalow. Not being able to walk properly or care for myself, Alina provided me with a live-in carer. The team leader couldn’t have been more helpful and caring. It was an uphill struggle to get funding from the local authorities but we managed it. I needed proper nutrition owing to having intensive chemotherapy previously and my carer took on the challenge. I was provided with healthy nutritious food and soon began to thrive. My mobility was greatly compromised initially but bit by bit I began to get about through the kindness and dedication of my carer. I am very happy with the attention and help I received throughout and couldn’t fault the management team.
Mum has been cared for by Alina Homecare for many years and has needed increasing amounts of intervention and support as her condition deteriorated. Throughout this time Mum's carers were always able to adapt to her needs, ensure she had all that she needed and even plan ahead to ensure her needs would be met in the near future. The carers on the Alina team all offer their own particular approach to how they care for Mum but all responded and behaved according to their company policy when Mum's safety and medical needs were at stake. Mum increasingly needed more and more support and help and this was provided without hesitation by Mum's carers. They attended to her personal and intimate needs with dignity and enabled Mum to be as independent as she could for as long as possible. I was most impressed with the level of professionalism and compassion exerted by the individuals. She couldn't have been in better hands.
We were slightly anxious about getting care for Mum for a two-week break but after meeting the manager, she put us at ease as she understood Mum's needs instinctively. The lovely live-in carer we had for Mum was excellent and we had every faith in her. She was professional and supportive and treated Mum with dignity. She was conscientious in maintaining Mum's personal care and hygiene, as well as keeping the house clean and tidy. All in all, a great complete care package and we would have no hesitation in recommending Alina Homecare to anyone.
My husband has been ill for the last seven years with Parkinson’s plus disease. Over the years he has become increasingly dependent on me for all his care as he can no longer walk or even stand. As I had not had a day’s respite in four years my family were worried about my own health so my son wanted to take me on holiday for a few days. I phoned Alina Homecare and was immediately put at ease by the manager who assured me that she could arrange a live-in carer who would do what I usually did. Both the manager and carer visited our home and a really detailed care plan was put in place including a daily timetable to make the care seamless to help ease my husband’s very high levels of anxiety. The carer was very pleasant and followed the care plan and the daily timetable. The manager also visited our home while I was away to ensure that everything was going to plan. I felt that I could enjoy the few day’s respite knowing that my husband was being cared for properly. Hopefully one day I will go on holiday again.
Alina Home Care Woodingdean was very accommodating when my mum came out of hospital and needed care to be started more or less straight away. The manager was amazing, she came to meet my mother and managed to get the care started the next week. All the carers who came to my mother were polite and did a good job! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alina Home Care to any of my friends and family. Thanks again.
My grandmother's carers went above and beyond in taking my grandmother out, as she is disabled and mainly confined to her flat. It made myself and family and especially my grandmother overjoyed that they did this out of the kindness of their heart, especially given the fact that doing that is no easy task. I will recommend Alina homecare to anyone who asks.
The manager and the team at Alina Brighton looked after my father from around 2015 at which time he broke his hip and needed extra support and was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome. As the years went by and his health deteriorated they were there not only to help and support him but also myself. They looked after him during the hardest of times, Covid and were always kind, helpful and professional. I cannot praise this company highly enough and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone needing care and support.
My mother became unresponsive during an early morning call. Her carer was quick to proceed with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bringing my mother back to consciousness. Without the care and attention, this may have been a different outcome but thankfully not. I am thankful for their skill and experience, in a somewhat stressful situation for them. Thank you.
Alina provided exceptional service at short notice for my wife when I suddenly went into hospital. She was looked after day and night until I returned. Her care couldn't have been any better. I would recommend this company any time.
At the end of 2020, my husband had a major stroke, it left him with aphasia which means complex communication difficulties, he was also my carer because I have Cerebral Palsy. It became very clear that we both would need care at home and Alina Homecare was on our doorstep, we are very lucky because the Brighton Branch are brilliant. They are very professional, and patient, and they always find time and salutation in overcoming any problems that might occur. They are centred around the client (service user). Alina has worked so hard in putting in place a package of care that meet our needs. My husband and I are so thankful to the team for all their hard work in getting us that right support. They really are very helpful and supportive in everything they do, in being an Alina client we do have peace of mind and I would recommend the service to family and friends. I can say that Alina, Brighton will move mountains to meet the needs of their clients, and the level of care and support.
Alina Homecare provided daily care for our mother for about a year as her dementia progressed and she needed help with getting up and personal care. Alina Homecare did their best to provide the same care staff each week and they built a lovely relationship with our mother, encouraging her in a gentle and humourous way which she responded to very well - we know she enjoyed her chats with the staff. As well as the care staff, we found the manager was also very understanding and responsive whenever we phoned. We were overall very happy with Alina Homecare and would recommend them to other families.
