View Full Details of Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport)After researching 3 companies, I decided to go with Home Instead and I'm so glad I did! From the outset, I was impressed with the initial contact with the company and, following our conversation, I received an informative email .My Mum and I were then introduced to the carers. My Mum, who is 93, lives alone and, since the ladies at Home Instead have been coming in twice a day, our family and her friends have noticed such a difference in her. She now has a purpose for getting up and about and she's like her 'old self'. All the ladies are professional, kind and very caring and it has made such a difference not just for her but for me personally, as I work full-time. However, I can rest assured that she is being looked and if there are any concerns, they contact me straight away and also log notes in a book for each other. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
My mother is a very proud and independent lady. She was adamant she did not want carers, however her mobility was deteriorating and it was time to give her help around her home. I approached Home Instead and asked for help and prayed it would work and my mum would see the benefit of carers in her home. I have not looked back, they are an absolutely wonderful team. My mum looks forward to carers visiting. I highly recommend this team. I would like to say a special thank you to two members of staff for being lovely carers and making mum so happy. Mother never needs to ask you to do things for her, you automatically know what to do. I would like to say thank you to the lady who works in the office who answers all my questions Thank you for making this transition in mum's life so easy.
Mum is happy with service provided.
My very independent, but frail 87 year old mum has suffered from declining physical health over the past two years and was finally persuaded to have some extra support at home. After researching several agencies, we were recommended Home Instead by a friend who is a community nurse. It has been the best decision we (and mum) have made. Her team are very professional and kind and I know she relies on their support to keep her safe at home. It should not be understated either, the relief that Home Instead provides to relatives. The constant worry regarding an elderly parent living alone is immense and we are extremely grateful for the peace of mind that the service provides.
We struck gold when finding these lovely ladies, they have been caring, respectful and so very helpful in assisting us in allowing my cousin stay in her home as she was so keen to do until the end of life. There was nothing they wouldn't do for either of us and we can't thank them enough. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending each and every one of them!
A very helpful and friendly firm which goes out of its way to be helpful and friendly, and wants to please their clients. I have nothing but praise for their help, friendliness and willing to carry out any task I request. Nothing is too much trouble for them. All my carers are friendly and look after me superbly. I would hate to be without them. Long may Home Instead continue to provide such friendly carers to look after me. They turn up on time, and their friendly smile is a real tonic to me. Often I eagerly look forward to their next visit.
Finding ourselves in a sudden unfamiliar position where my uncle needed care, and living quite some distance away from him, we were struggling with all the processes involved until a friend recommended Home Instead (HI). From the initial meet, through to the current care package we now have I can not recommend HI enough. I would have been totally lost without them. All their staff are excellent listeners, and do what they say they are going to do, being able to adapt to ongoing changes in needs. Their level of communication is superb regardless of the query, and nothing ever feels like it's too much trouble for them. From when my Uncle came out of hospital to now, we have seen a great improvement in him, no doubt due to the company, care and manner in which these are delivered by the carers. All the daily house tasks that need to occur to allow my Uncle to stay at home are also taken care of by HI. They currently have an "Outstanding" CQC rating, and my goodness they deserve it!
My great aunt, who lives alone, has always stipulated that she wished to remain at home and independent for as long as possible and Home Instead have been fundamental in making this happen. The whole team have been so supportive, professional, helpful and kind. They have given us excellent advice and treated her with respect and compassion at all times. We can't thank them enough for all they have done to care for her and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
I found myself in a situation in which I suspect I am not alone. An elderly, fiercely independent parent who is determined to live their life out in their own home. My mother, widowed after 70 years of marriage has robust physical health but with failing memory and possible early dementia did not want any home carers. Not living within easy access to my mum the family were increasingly concerned about how best to support her choice. A fall, from which there was no injury, was the opportunity we needed, home carers were to be allowed. From my first enquiry, the prompt, individual attention to detail was obvious. Several phone calls, initial visits (scheduled at my convenience so I could be present) and follow-up phone calls have meant the care going to my mother is also extended to myself. It is early days of our involvement with this branch of Home Instead but I have every reason to believe this level of care and attention to detail will help to allow my mum to continue living alone.
The team were brilliant from office staff to carers. They were punctual, always had a smile and a kind word and were incredibly professional, supportive and adapted to an ever changing situation, nothing was too much trouble and we had complete faith in them. The carers treated my dad with the utmost respect and I personally can't thank them enough for all they did for my lovely dad, myself and my sister. Thank you all so much, you were amazing and made so much difference.
Home Instead were recommended by a neighbour in the area. The initial consultation was good as they did everything they could to involve my Dad in the conversation. Support has been given for a number of additional features needed on-site, which has made things easier for us. The care given has been good to date, each carer is unique in their approach, Dad has said he is comfortable with each.
The caregivers are all kind and considerate even though my parents are reluctant to ask them to do more tasks for them. All my dealings with the admin team have left me feeling supported and I appreciate their care and kindness.
Excellent all-round service from both caregivers and management. Caregivers were compassionate when dealing with my parents and nothing was too much bother for them. They were always punctual for their appointments and were never rushed in anything that they did. Any queries to the office were dealt with professionally and in a punctual manner.
We employed the services of Home Instead following my elderly mother’s stroke which left her with mobility and cognitive issues. The caregivers assigned to her were wonderful in every way. The kindness and patience they showed her allowed her to remain in her own home with dignity until she died. They were also extremely kind to all the family ensuring our questions and concerns were addressed and nothing was ever too much trouble. The management team provided an excellent care package that provided a good balance between the support we (the family) could provide without us becoming overwhelmed. An additional lovely touch was the caregivers attending her funeral as Mum had clearly become more than just a client to them. We will be forever grateful to all at Home Instead.
My father wants to remain at home and independent for as long as possible. As I live a long way away I needed to find care which would help him in as close a way as possible to a family member visiting him. I didn't want him to feel as if he was losing his decision-making and practical input on a day-to-day basis. Together with me ordering his food and supporting him from afar, his warden available for odd requests and the Home Instead carers we seem to have found a good solution. What has been especially comforting is the carers slowly changing their input as Dad has changed in the last few years, without him feeling uncomfortable. Having a small group of carers has been indispensable for him to feel at ease from the outset. The Home Instead office has always replied quickly to my requests and has been extremely helpful when I have needed guidance.
In my experience, the members of the care team I deal with are caring careful and always professional. Whenever I ask for help and/or advice it is given without hesitation. Whenever there is a matter or situation which might give concern I am advised or informed.
No problems, happy with service.
My mother was discharged from the hospital frail, depressed and barely able to stand, I wasn’t hopeful of any further improvement. It was clear she would now need carers, and I chose Home Instead. The best decision I ever made, these people are the best! The change in my mother since November has been quite phenomenal. She has gained so much strength that she is now able to walk almost unaided and she is less anxious than she has been for a very long time, now that that her lovely carers are taking care of the household tasks. But the most fantastic change has been in her mood, daily conversations with her carers have made such a difference to her outlook on life and lifted her spirits enormously, she’s brighter and more cheerful and it’s all down to her care package. I really appreciate the care taken in matching her carers to her, knowing her 3 fantastic carers will arrive promptly at the same time daily is so good for minimising her stress. Impeccable care, and outstanding service!
My father has had Home Instead as his care provider for the past three and a half years. He has Parkinson’s and at the height of Covid his condition deteriorated considerably and following a hospitalisation we decided that he would benefit from care. His care team are fantastic and make sure he is taking his medication, help provide meals and do housework too. He wouldn’t be able to live independently without their help. We are truly appreciative of all of his wonderful care team and the difference they make to him.
Overall it's been a pleasurable experience so far. The carers have been very helpful, friendly and considerate.
