View Full Details of Wisteria Care (Gillingham)When my grandmother had a fall and broke her wrist, the staff were very helpful to her, ensuring she had everything she needed before they left, I couldn't have asked for a better short-term service for my 93-year-old grandmother, they supported and encouraged her to be independent until she was once again able to look after herself. Thank you to the team for being so lovely and caring towards my grandmother.
The staff are very kind and caring!
Initially, all was fine with the company. Carers pushed for time due to ridiculous rotas. Some carers not wearing the appropriate uniform. Numerous calls to management with concerns were pointless as not acted on. Management said if the client deteriorates no problem, not the case, the client was dropped last minute on a Friday night without the client's knowledge, who was end of life! Complete lack of care and compassion by the office.
Very good staff. A professional company.
I am satisfied with the service I receive, although some are more attentive than others.
While individual carers working for Wisteria were fantastic, overall the experience of working with the agency was stressful. One major concern was timekeeping. Carers were often very late for scheduled slots. The individuals concerned were very apologetic but explained they had sometimes been scheduled to be at three separate addresses at the same time. One carer told us she had 27 clients to visit that day - an insane number for any individual to undertake and ensuring each visit would be necessarily shorter than required. Most worryingly, one told us they had been specifically told not to tell clients about being booked to be in more than one place at one time, so, in essence, to lie. These issues of scheduling were articulated by more than one carer, so it was not one person with an axe to grind against their employer. As said, individual carers were often great, but hard-pressed to do their jobs given the way they were poorly managed.
A highly recommended care service. The staff are professional and genuinely caring. Very accommodating of your needs and wishes.
A fabulous team of care workers who cannot do enough to help. Extra visits put in place when needed for additional help. Great service.
The carers only stay for 15 mins, which is not long enough to do the necessary work. (This time is instructions from their office). DCC pays for 30mins. There are always dirty crockery in the kitchen. The level of care is minimal. Very poor value for money and is barely able to provide basic human needs.
