View Full Details of Home Instead (Kidderminster)Having previously been with two agencies, Home Instead came as a total relief! Management was efficient, professional, responsive and helpful. Carers were kind, thoughtful, professional and caring. Thank you!
Home Instead came to me via a recommendation by a friend and neighbour. The purpose of the service was to get me through the critical six weeks after discharge from hospital after a heart bypass operation. This included the task of assisting with the fitting of embolism stockings (a difficult and tiresome task) and encouraging exercise which became more intense as time progresses. The ladies who formed the team who took care of this challenge were all professional in their attitude towards the task. Just as importantly they were friendly and eager to help. I was willingly accompanied on daily walks that built my endurance. To a point where by the end of the period we were filling the contracted time each day with Heart Foundation exercises and walks of over two miles at a rate of over three miles per hour. This has allowed me to build on the stamina achieved by exceeding the distance and duration achieved.
We are absolutely delighted with the team at Home Instead (Kidderminster) - professional, reliable, caring, and great to talk to with very sound advice - they were recommended to us and we now strongly recommend them to others!
Efficient, pleasant experience, reassuring.
We started our Home Instead carer visits five weeks ago. Several things impressed the family: how well organised and professional this company is, including the effective way they communicate and manage what their carers do, in order to meet the individual needs of the client. In my mother's case, we began with a mix of morning and occasional evening visits. Our primary aim was to ensure my mother could keep her dignity and personal hygiene, despite the ravages of Alzheimer's. A daily shower or full body wash was top of our list. It soon became obvious that an evening shower would not work for Mummy. No problem! Within a week the schedule had been adjusted, and has worked well ever since. As for the carers themselves, they are simply wonderful people doing a really important job. All have been quick to learn, willing to help, even to go above and beyond, smiley and unfailingly kind and positive. I'm grateful to the carer who was quick to spot an incipient UTI, twice.
We chose Home Instead to support my mother-in-law at home as we were anxious to keep her safe and well there, in accordance with her wish to remain independent. We were impressed that they could provide a wide range of support, from an assisted weekly trip to the shops right through to 24/7 care. Reluctant though my mother-in-law was to accept any help at all, the Home Instead professionals visited every day and patiently and kindly convinced my mother-in-law to let them in just for a few minutes or just for a quick cup of tea. These visits, however quickly cut short by my mother-in-law, which meant we could feel assured she was as well as could be expected and remain living independently at home for many more months than would otherwise have been the case. The management team always responded positively to our requests for new forms of support for my mother-in-law and we will forever be grateful for their help.
When my ageing parents reached the position where the needed some additional help, I visited four local care providers. We simply wanted the best, premium care service provision and from a care team that would go the extra mile. Two months-in with Home Instead's daily care plan and our family simply couldn't be happier! Awesome care, great attentive management and just a wonderful team effort! So pleased we decided on Home Instead Kidderminster.
I was desperate for some instant, short-team care to support my father after recovering from surgery. From the completion of the initial enquiry form, it was evident that the whole practice at Home Instead Kidderminster was client centred. They understood their role in supporting my well-being as well as that of my father. The care and communication have been exceptional. All of the carers have carried out tasks my father is currently unable to do but also supported him in completing tasks, so he can build up his independence once again. The carers have all had the time to talk to him and provide company whilst he is unable to socialise; that has provided some much-needed conversation, emotional support and distraction from a long day. I have been able to see how my father has progressed in his recovery, this would not have been possible without the care that has been given. There is an excellent team based in Kidderminster, I cannot thank them enough or recommend them highly enough.
I would like to say after many weeks of excellent care, your staff all have been a pleasure to greet each morning. Always cheerful, very capable, nothing too much trouble. I have to mention my pressure socks, removal every day and replacement, very difficult. They all did a great job, I couldn't do it!
I find the service vert good and the carers are very friendly. and professional.
We have been very pleased with the care and support that has been provided to Dad for the past 12 months or more. Many of the team struck up a good rapport with Dad and there was lots of banter enjoyed, with one particular carer being an absolute star. Not only that, the office staff were very good at responding to changes as circumstances dictated.
My aunt was pleased that care returned to Home Instead, as she wasn't happy with the enablement staff. I'm also happy as on the occasion when I can't be here to provide provisions Home Instead has stepped in. My aunt is happiest with female carers and not always possible with the NHS, but Home Instead have been accommodating.
Home Instead (Kidderminster) helped care for my mother in law whilst I was away! From the home visit to the care to the aftercare call it was just brilliant! Very professional but most importantly was how brilliant my mother in law said everyone was! She felt at home with them and actually said when are you going away again so she can have them all back, thank you again.
One particular carer stands out. She is a regular visitor providing personal care to my partner. Always punctual, pleasant and patient with her client. Pays particular attention to any changes in skin condition which might require further investigation. Always reports these to me.
The carers who looked after Mum were brilliant, very caring and kind to Mum. She would look forward to their visits and having a lovely chat with them.
The carers from Home Instead were fantastic. They were very professional and extremely caring to my mother whilst being supportive to the wide family. The carers frequently went above and beyond in providing sympathetic care to my mother without complaint. A big thank you to everyone at Home Instead.
All of the caregivers were excellent. They arrived on time and really cared about my mother. They cared for her as well as I would and it was the peace of mind I needed. All of the caregivers were honest and reliable. All round excellent service.
Both carers are very nice, respectful and they provide good companionship.
I have found this company to be very good. They turn up at the time allocated and look after my aunty very well.
Providing end of life care in a family setting requires special kind of people. Each and every one of Home Instead staff skillfully negotiated the emotional and at times challenging situations with a level of professionalism, compassion and dignity, not always shown by other professionals. Having worked in the care sector for many years myself I did not expect others to provide a good enough standard for my loved one during the last days. Home Instead surpass my expectations and has restored my faith that good quality care is possible to find. Thank you.
