View Full Details of NurtrioIt is now 9 years that my mother has received brilliant care from the team at Nurtrio. I wanted to express our gratitude for all the help and guidance that you have given to our mam and ourselves and to say how grateful we are. The visiting carers and office staff have always had her best interest at heart in a professional, flexible and friendly way. You have saved her life now on several occasions. Originally, mam only needed light support but now she needs a lot more help. You are great at taking on all kinds of things she needs. More recently she is getting meals on wheels. The food is very nutritious and the service has been outstanding. Every contact I have seen has been delivered with a sunny smile. Thanks again for the brilliant service over the last 9 years. A very grateful family.
The Head of Quality and Operations was given information on a predator that visits vulnerable people in a vulnerable housing environment. The information was serious enough for children's services to say under no circumstances is the perpetrator to be left alone unsupervised with any child or vulnerable persons. He had a history of threats of danger to life against the wider organisation's workers. Especially one of their care providers in particular. But due to no conviction on the abuse, the Head of Quality and Operations said there was no risk. In her job role she should know how hard it is for an abuser to be convicted. And should put the safety of service users first. Me and my family have experienced several malicious verbal attacks from both staff and service users from the apartments all these were reported and the Head of Quality and Operations chose to not investigate the logs provided and not look into the history of the abuser who has in the past taken advantage of the person his visits.
We recently swapped to Nurtrio after problems with a previous agency and the transition has been problem free. After a couple of teething problems, which were resolved quickly and efficiently, the care provided has been fantastic. Mum feels confident and happy with her carers, with many of them going the extra mile.
Carers are supportive and caring. Some are very good in relation to helping me manage my mental health. Rota's aren't always sent out in time. Rota's can be changed at short notice. Despite being in care plan not to have lots of new carers, I've had 2 new people this week and one I barely know.
I find Nurtrio to be very thorough and caring. They are very accommodating of various situations and challenges that occur.
I have received good care on the whole. One or two have obviously not read the plan and don't understand my difficulties, nor are they interested. One, I feel, expects me to be more capable than I am. Most are excellent and listen! On the whole, I'm treated with excellent care and dignity. Some (a few) have no respect for time, or do not apologise if they are late. It's as though I should accept things; my time and timetable are shown no respect. Again, I say it is a minority. Mostly, I am more than satisfied with the care.
As with any care provider, there are issues, be they teething or developing or arising through unprecedented times, such as COVID-19. Ace Homecare, represented by the staff attending have provided a first-class service both to my mother-in-law and to my auntie-in-law upon my recommendation. I set an extremely high bar of expectation on service delivery, in particular the measures on compliance and additional measures I set in place due to the pandemic protecting Ace care staff and my family who are 80+. Ace works as a team, and they communicate effectively and swiftly to sudden changes and this is complemented by the app, a useful tool for recording issues, etc. I would assess their service provision at 94% effective when operating normally. Well, no service ever runs exactly as a client would like and the effectiveness of the compliance wasn't 100% but none of my family have been subject to COVID-19. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The care my auntie has received has been second to none. My aunt seems quite happy too. The ladies caring for her have been really good carrying out extra duties too, they always make sure she is clean and tidy and the house is left tidy too. The only problem has ever been my aunt, not the carers, my aunt does lack personal hygiene and if she can get out of having a shower she will use all the excuses under the sun, she says I don’t feel like it today, or I can’t stand today, or no I can’t walk but I know she can. The way to deal with her is if they just head to the bathroom on arrival and turn the shower on then tell her she is having a shower today, it won’t take long. Although my aunt has refused, the ladies have made her have a strip wash but this could take longer than a shower. It has taken immense pressure off me and for that, I am so grateful.
Ace Homecare started to provide care for my Mum about 3 months ago and have been very professional. Mum had been very resistant to having carers but is very happy now and it has taken a significant workload off the family.
All carers involved with mum show the utmost care for her and follow instructions left in the daily message book and will make contact if unsure about anything. They have particularly worked well under the current covid conditions. Obviously a well organised team.
Ace Homecare have really looked after my mum whilst she lived in her own home - making sure she was safe and comfortable, attending to all her needs, cleaning and cooking, helping with her personal hygiene. She especially liked all her carers who always had time for a chat and always made sure she took her medication and had plenty to drink. So thanks to all the staff at Ace for always keeping in contact with me to let me know if there were any problems. Definitely would recommend your services. Many thanks.
My elderly mother needed help at home after experiencing a double break of her leg, and struggling with her mobility at home, A family friend recommended Ace Homecare, we only have positive things to say about their care, professionalism and excellent communications. We received a weekly rota advising of times and carers names, which we found very useful. The carers that came were always pleasant, jovial and efficient in their roles. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ace Homecare
My mother had a fall in June which resulted in us deciding she needed more help in the house. I cannot recommend Ace Homecare - Grimsby enough. Both their attention to detail and their very professional approach has meant my mums in a hugely different place to a few months back. They are extremely punctual which is great for keeping to routines. They also have a new system that I can check and see what care has happened on a daily basis. This gives a lot peace of mind from my side, and also allows for small checks to be added which is a great facility. Having previously had a different care company looking after my dad for several years it is so noticeable how much better the care provided by Ace really is.
I found Ace Homecare very good following a fall and needing support and care. I would happily recommend them and use them again if necessary. Staff were very kind and helpful, professional and courteous.
The carers we receive are all friendly and courteous. As with any service, the people vary in the ways they do things. Some are more attentive than others, possibly due to time constraints. They do appear to be doing varied areas which can make them late for their appointments.
I cannot recommend Ace Homecare highly enough; the care they have given my mum has been fantastic. As my mum's care needs have changed they have always discussed them with me, and have always responded very quickly and without any problems and with the best interests of my mum. The carers are very pleasant and friendly always treat her with the greatest of respect and dignity. My Mum looks forward to their visits three times a day as they not only attended to her needs but take the time to chat with her and get to know her and what is important to her. I would like to say a big "thank you" to the managers and all the carers at Ace Homecare.
I chose Ace Homecare to support my Mum in her wish to stay at home. A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia was never going to be easy for either of us. It was so hard for me to accept the help and equally so for Mum. But with the Care Team's experience and good humour they did a fantastic job. Some days were incredibly difficult, but every time the Manager and her Care Team listened and always came up with solutions to whatever our needs. The care was understanding and flexible throughout. I could always ask when I was unsure. Mum always looked clean and well cared for. There was humour and company for Mum. Staff would ask about my well-being too. Mum ended up with visits 5 times a day. From personal care to helping with meals, keeping the house tidy, the work of the Care Team was all I had asked for. The Manager, the Director, and the Care Team often went over and above to support us. I was always contacted if they felt the need. They are ‘ace’ and worth looking at their service.
Despite initially not wanting the extra help, Mum has come round to being very appreciative of the basic help she gets from the team. This is in a large part down to the positive attitude of her care workers. I feel confident that if there are any issues, I will be notified as soon as they occur which is a great comfort for me living overseas. The openPass app is a great means of seeing what is happening on a daily basis. I also think the service is great value for money.
We have used Ace carers for many months now for morning care of my 89-year-old mother who lives alone. We find this care team to be extremely friendly, efficient and caring. We are increasing to twice a day which really helps the family. I would highly recommend them.
Reliable, responsive, cost-effective, and as I owned and operated a dom care agency in the south-west I am pretty sure of my experience.
