We have been using Bluebird Care for six years now. I have no complaints at all! The staff are well-trained, caring and supportive. If there are any issues, I receive a phone call - nothing is a problem. There are lovely touches, which Mum loves, like Easter eggs! Thank you, Bluebird.
Bluebird Gateshead have been looking after my now 95-year-old mother for over a year. From initial contact to her recent annual review, absolutely everything has been excellent. My mother looks forward to her twice-daily visits, and speaks very highly about all of her carers. For the rest of the family, knowing that her medication is supervised, and her other care needs are supported so well, the peace of mind is priceless

I cannot recommend Bluebird Care highly enough, from my very first phone call I have found them to be very professional, caring and friendly. Every single carer has been wonderful and has treated my mother with the utmost respect. We could not manage without them.
The ladies who care for me are fabulous very caring individuals, they make my meals as well as making sure I am okay. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I just need to mention something and it is done. I am very happy with Bluebird and the carers they employ. They are efficient and helpful.
Bluebird has been a support to me with my son when I was in hospital. They stayed overnight and I was reassured that he would be looked after and he was in safe hands. They are very trustworthy and I can rely on them. They come every day to bathe him, get him dressed and put him in his wheelchair to see him off to the Day Centre. They are lovely carers and I trust each one very much.

Everyone at Bluebird, both carers and office staff, consistently go above and beyond to look after my dad and to ensure he can live safely and with dignity in his own home. Over the years Dad's dementia has progressed and they have always been able to react quickly to his changing needs. I don't live close to Dad so to know that he's being so well looked after is a great comfort.

The online care notes are brilliant especially when I’m away from home, I can see what she has eaten and how she is in herself and I am totally reassured that Mum is being well cared for. The staff in the office are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Mum has care visits three days a week and when I need to increase this, even at short notice, they do everything they can to accommodate me. Thank you to all the staff.
I know I can rely on the Bluebird staff who look after my mother to make decisions in her best interests. They gently encourage her to eat and drink appropriately. Whilst she may not always be keen to wash and shower as thoroughly as she always did, a kind encouragement helps to get these tasks completed. The detailed care notes give me the confidence to understand how much support she has received each visit irrespective of what I might be told on the phone. Perhaps most significantly if there are any health or medication worries that might arise I know a referral to a GP or pharmacy will be made and I will be informed immediately.
I can't praise Bluebird Care and the fabulous staff that look after my elderly aunty enough for what they do, they have been so diligent, compassionate and proactive in getting her the extra help she needs. Knowing that they are there every day when I can't be is a huge relief. They keep me informed and share their experience of similar situations with me so that I know what to expect. My aunties needs are complex, like any elderly person with dementia and seem to change rapidly but Bluebird Care has shown flexibility to respond, whatever happens. I have no doubt their lovely carers have enriched my aunties days, and she looks forward to her chats with them. I can't thank them enough.

My aunt was firmly against having anyone come into her home to help her but after a serious fall, I took matters into my own hands and arranged for Bluebird Carers to call every day at lunchtime. After an initial reticence, my aunt now looks forward to their visits. She has built up a rapport with her carers and often tells me about their chats. They talk about ‘old’ Gateshead and reminisce about the ‘old’ times. I must add that the ladies are much younger than my aunt but have found old photos via the internet on their phones to show her and it has really made her start to engage with life once more. I think she was becoming quite lonely as most of her friends are no longer able to visit her and they are hard of hearing too so phone calls are limited! Because the ladies make sure my aunt has something to eat at lunchtime she is also looking more healthy. Her community nurse has noticed a difference. I cannot thank Bluebird enough for its compassion and attention to my aunt.

In 2015, I needed the help of Bluebird Care. When I was in need of assistance again, I had no hesitation in calling them. The excellent, very high standard of the carers has continued. I looked forward to the daily visits. Nothing, however small, was too much trouble for them. As I live on my own, I enjoyed our chats. They felt like my friends encouraging me to get better.
I can’t fault the care and support provided to my mam by Bluebird Gateshead. All of the carers and employees I’ve been in contact with have been extremely professional, supportive, patient and knowledgeable. I can’t praise them enough for their help and support during a very difficult time. I’d highly recommend them and thank them for their hard work and help.
We engaged the services of Bluebird Care in late December 2020 for my elderly mum who needs support as she has Alzheimer's. They stepped in at short notice and the transition process was very smooth. The carers are reliable, arriving on time and staying for the full duration of the visit. We don't live locally so have only been present for a couple of care visits; the carers seemed friendly, kind and caring. Mum seems happy with her carers and tells us she has "a good bunch of girls". The office seems to be well run, emails are answered promptly and the staff have a positive/happy to help attitude. They have been very accommodating, e.g. organising and taking her for COVID vaccine appointments. The online system is great, it allows me to read the carer's notes from each visit. The only slight negative is the pricing of the shorter duration (30 min) calls, it's quite a bit more than other companies/the council approved rate. However, overall we are happy with the service so far.
I am a mum of a 16 year old disabled and extremely challenging boy who is supported by Bluebird Care Gateshead. They came into our lives just before the lockdown in March 2020 and I must say I don't know where I would be without them. They are in constant touch with us and there service has been outstanding. They have stepped in at really short notice to help provide valuable support to our family when other services have let us down. They're very reliable as a company and my son loves his new carers. He has positive relationships with them and they have embraced learning all about him and his needs. The management and the girls in the office do a very good job at keeping routine and continuity in my son's life. I would highly recommend them as a care company.
