View Full Details of OSJCT Moorside PlaceWhile undergoing rehab in the local hospital after bilateral amputation. I was informed about temporarily housing me in a social services-organised flat, surrounded perhaps with all the usual suspects. Happy to say it was in a very pleasant and peaceful location with amenities provided like laundry room, cafe and gardens. All the staff were very helpful in assisting me in my situation, to the point I felt like a lord in full repose. If I were in a position to buy the flat, it would be an easy decision to make.
My gramp has been living at Moorside Place for a few years now and after my Nan passing away I was really worried about the effects this would have on his mental health in the long term. Of course it has massively affected him, however the care and friendships from the staff at Moorside Place has most definitely reduced this struggle for him, he has friends who he can rely on as friends and also as caregivers. The staff are strong communicators and really do treat their clients like family, the sense of community within the building itself is reassuring.
My experience is very good. Carers all nice and helpful, also very much on time and excellent.
I find all the carers are pleasant and willing and helpful and they get to know your little habits or what you need help with. They just get on with it.
The warm welcoming staff are always very kind and helpful. Their company and attendance are compassionate and caring. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is a real community within the complex that is welcoming to all. The cafe serves delicious food and the hairdresser on site is friendly and does a great job. Overall, very pleased and happy that my mother lives in such a great environment.
The carers here are very cheerful and usually mindful of resident's individual problems. They have made a special effort to provide activities over the festive season. At present, I do not need extra care but am thankful that if I pull the emergency cord or set the smoke alarm off there will be an OSJCT carer in attendance.
The staff are very nice and organised a very good Christmas party. Staff are always very helpful. Thank you.
Care team and management team are excellent, and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very happy with them all.
Our mum recently moved into Moorside Place and changed from previous carers to the OSJCT care team. It’s been so nice to see how the care team interact with Mum and also with us; they are always so lovely, spend time talking to her, listening to her and making her feel comfortable in her new home. As we left after one visit, my youngest said, “Mum, everyone is so nice and friendly here”. Even when things have been a little difficult with Mum's needs and things have had to change, they listen to and take the changes on board immediately. The management team are very approachable, friendly and professional. They have built a great team, they are kind and caring towards Mum, and it is going a long way; we can already see such a difference in her in such a short space of time. There are plenty of opportunities for socialising with other residents, and they are always happy to stop and chat! It’s been such a positive move for Mum, who is disabled and was living a very isolated life.
Since my grandparents have moved into OSJCT Moorside Place, they have been looked after really well. The care team are really attentive and knows my nan and gramps needs well. The new manager is very friendly and welcoming, and also very happy we made the move.
