View Full Details of T How Homely LtdI find my carer very caring. The office is efficient and friendly to deal with. We have found it hard and exhausting to deal with the 7 am morning calls especially in the wet, miserable weather! I have had other care companies which have been far below the standard of T How Homely.
Overall the carers try to meet the needs of my friend and he is largely happy with his care after taking a while to get to know the carers. There have been some issues around communication not helped by my friend's long-standing resistance to asking for help or discussing any problems he has. The team and managers have been reliable, accommodating and friendly. The app has been a great help in my trying to pre-empt problems.
I have been with T H Homely for 5 months and so far I have been very happy with the service offered. My previous company were letting me down frequently and often couldn't provide a carer. T H Homely have not let me down once. Their staff are always very friendly and whilst it has taken a bit of time for some of them to get to know me and understand how I prefer to do things, they are normally able to 'go solo' after two or three visits. Overall, I am very pleased with how things are going.
I am so grateful to T H Homely for the care they give my father. They are friendly, understanding, and patient and they know how to adapt to different people. I must also praise the registered manager who has made a huge difference to my life reassuring me that dad will be fine with the carers. Cannot imagine my dad managing without them.Thank you.
T H Homely carers have provided consistently good care for my mother, sometimes at short notice. Their management have always worked hard to provide cover, sometimes at short notice. Would definitely recommend
Reliable service delivered in accordance with the contract. But this was complicated by the uncooperative attitude of my wife who refused help with showers and washing, with changing bed linen and clothing and refusal to take the prescribed medications. The carers seemed to take this in their stride. I am grateful for their understanding.
Friendly care staff who adjust the care package according to the daily needs of the client. An example of this is if I do not feel up to having a shower I have a strip wash instead. New staff members have settled in very well.
I am happy with the support I get for my personal needs and cleaning. I like communication with the carers and have a good laugh.
Overall, the service has been very good, especially in the first 18 months. But since the covid pandemic, through the lack of carers, the company has been stretched to the limit and the weekly rota was often changed at short notice which was quite stressful for my elderly mother-in-law. Unfortunately, because of the lack of staff, TH Homely has had to terminate the contract for her now, which again is disappointing, as she had got to know all the carers very well and trusted them to care for her.
I have had a good experience.
My mother and I have found the home care to be very helpful, reliable and friendly. This has been a great help, especially when there have been emergencies because I do not live locally. It has been reassuring to know that my mother's daily care needs are being met.
We are so grateful to T How Homely, who came to our rescue with night care for my dad when we were really struggling as a family to cope with his needs. Our regular carer was always punctual, polite, caring and compassionate, and this enabled us to have a good night's rest while she was here. She also built up a good relationship with my dad, who thoroughly enjoyed her visits, and she was also very supportive of us all as a family. Thank you very much.
The team that cares for my mother are kind, considerate and understand her complex needs. They are always very professional in the way in which they approach everything to do with Mum's care. I particularly appreciate the extensive online notes the carers upload after each visit. This enables me to keep up with how Mum is doing, and what sort of day she is having. Pictures are loaded if there are areas of concern, which enables me to talk to the GP and describe her condition if I need to arrange medical assistance. The management has been really responsive, especially when Mum came out of the hospital and we were working to pull together a suitable package for her care. It is a comfort to the family to know Mum has a team around her that care about her, and work to ensure that every day is a good day.
We're only into the third week, but the morning and evening visits to my Mother are already making a huge difference to her well-being and quality of life and are a great reassurance to me. Thank you to all those carers who are visiting and supporting my Mother and to T How Homely behind the scenes doing everything possible to attend to her needs and arrange visits at the best times for my Mother. All very much appreciated.
As with all carers, we have used some that are better than others. Overall, Mum's care is good/excellent. I'm really pleased with all aspects of Mum's care and the management. Always easy to get hold of and quick to respond. I wouldn't change anything.
Overall care is very good. Sometimes my calls do vary from those on the rota stated at the beginning of a week and has been up to an hours difference, and no notification been given. Several times recently a new carer has come and they’ve not been introduced to me. I did highlight this previously.
We started using this care agency when my Mother came home from hospital after suffering a stroke. The service and help they provide has made a huge difference in helping Mum retain her independence. The ladies are always on time, always friendly and Mum has become very comfortable having them in her home. The agency uses an app which they update every visit which is really useful. This lets us know that she's taken her medication and just reassures us that's she's ok. If there have been any concerns, they let us know straight away. We feel absolutely confident that Mum's needs are being completely met.
The only thing I would recommend is that new carers are bought along by a known carer and introduced. A big recruiting drive to find new carers is probably a good thing, more contact with clients when rotas have to change is a positive and polite thing.
