View Full Details of Chesterford Homecare LtdI am so pleased that Chesterford Carers were recommended to me. My husband has refused all other help and I was feeling desperate. At the moment the carer comes for 2 hours per week and my husband has been very accepting of her presence under the disguise of helping me with cleaning. She handles him very well and is a godsend to me. I have a dog and a cat and she is good with them too. I am hoping I will be able to increase the hours if I manage to get some funding. I am also looking for home-based respite care in the future. Just to be able to escape for an hour or so knowing he is being cared for helps keep me going.
Chesterford Homecare is a professional, friendly, and supportive care provider, with a very kind and knowledgeable management team. My mum looks forward to and enjoys her weekly visit from her carer. Thank you.
My wife has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and has two visits each week, one for four hours and one for one and a half hours. Our carer is a lovely companion for my wife, which allows me to go out or take care of chores. Our carer is happy to come with us for a walk or to visit a cafe, and she is also able to drive my wife to a local town or elsewhere in the locality. The last few years have been traumatic for my wife and me, but the visits we have received have been a real lifeline and make our lives more manageable and more enjoyable. Of course, we don't know what the future holds, but it is reassuring to know that the help and support Chesterford Homecare offer, is only a phone call away.
My mum’s carers are, without fail, a delight! She always looks forward to their visits and feels respected, cared for, and happy. They provide an invaluable service and I feel confident that they are going above and beyond any contractual requirements.
I am more than satisfied with service received, it is caring, dignified, helpful, and good. I would willingly recommend this company.
Punctual, empathetic, kind, supportive, helpful, cheerful, practical, accommodating, non-judgemental, perceptive, knowledgeable and competent. The office and care staff are all of the above. 'Thank you' Chesterford Homecare.
Finding care for my father in his locality has been a challenge. 18 months ago he was discharged from a rehab unit and sent home where he lives alone. He had temporary bridging care. I went through the list of local care companies and I could tell from the way that Chesterford handled the call that they would be the best solution to my father's needs. They were stretched but were prepared to work him into the already busy schedule. All of the carers have dealt with his denial of the need for care.....he now looks forwards to the visits....they are part of his life. He is at risk of falling and on more than one occasion, the carers have had to deal with the implications of this which they have done perfectly. It is our intention to keep my father at home, this will only be possible with the continued high level of care and support provided by Chesterford.
Our father has had live-in care for a couple of years from Chesterford Homecare and it has been a lifesaver for the family as well as for him; we feel very lucky to have found them. They have quite simply enabled him to carry on living safely and happily in his own home which would otherwise not have been possible. Both the company and the carers have been excellent. Additionally, he has been able to have the same carer most of the time and she is totally tuned into his needs so the care is impeccable.
My mother has received support via 3 times a day visits for nearly a year now. I have been extremely satisfied with the professionalism and caring attitude of both front line staff and the management. It has been very helpful that there is one carer who undertakes the majority of visits and therefore has a deep understanding of, and empathy with, my mother's needs. But other carers who make more occasional visits also provide excellent and consistent backup. Managers are assiduous in contacting me promptly if the visiting carers identify any issues.
Chesterford Homecare provide a very good overall standard of care and support. Staff are very considerate and caring. Always punctual and can solve and advise on any difficulties that may arise. Management staff are excellent when contacted concerning any topic and very professional in all dealings.
I came back from holiday and was informed of the care received by both my husband and my daughter. I read the daily notes and was impressed and very pleased with the detail and commitment given. Very professional company with excellent caregivers. Will be using them again.
When there was a need to clarify or comment on a particular need concerning my mother's care this always received immediate attention. The choice of live-in carer was such that my mother was provided with a new friendship as well as someone who attended to her physical needs.
Our family have opted for using a qualified carer which has all the required certifications of staff and procedures, to ensure a world class service. Throughout various research, we concluded with this company. We have been very satisfied with the level of professional service this company proved to have. We have a live-in carer and have gone through a process of feedback and trial of various people. It has been a good experience with constructive feedback and on-going reports of how each staff are performing. This has enabled us to have peace of mind knowing there are professional staff, who are fully insured and qualified to cope with the day to day situations of looking after an elderly mother. The manager is approachable and receives feedback in a positive way.
I can in no way fault the staff I have met who care for my father-in-law. They are very caring, kind and have empathy towards their client. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Chesterford Homecare.
Generally satisfactory. I would recommend a little more patience when suggesting a change of movement etc. She needs time to take it in and can lose her temper.
The service I receive from my carers is good. I have the same carer most of the time, which I find helpful. On the odd occasion, I have had to call the office/on call my issues have been dealt with professionally. My carers are very important to me.
Audley Homecare takes pains to limit the number of carers visiting my other. She has had one main carer for one and a half years who provides diligent and devoted care. My mother has gained weight and is more lively and looks forward to her visits. A relationship of trust has developed. When there have been problems with other carers who have not known my mother Audley Homecare have responded and addressed these problems well. Recently, a carer recognised my mother needed emergency medical assessment and treatment and acted on this displaying initiative and good observations.
The service provided was adequate, although when unsure of anything questions were not always asked leading to some problems. More respect could have been given on occasions but generally ok.
Satisfied with service.
My mother suffered a stroke in June 2015. She left hospital in a wheelchair and with restricted movement of her left side. My parents were in their 90s and my father's health began to deteriorate early last year. Audley Homecare was asked to provide two visiting carers four times a day, then a live-in carer and visiting carer and sometimes a third carer at night. The staff were caring, most cheerful and friendly banter with my parents. The live-in carers were companions to my mother. After my father died my mother eventually decided to go into a care home. In summary, Audley Homecare provided a reliable, caring and where necessary a flexible service. They responded quickly to requests and kept the family fully involved and informed about all issues.
