View Full Details of AQS Homecare Hampshire EastMy experience with this company wasn't good and as the client's daughter, I made my first complaint and seems like it's the wrong thing I did. One of the managers came out to observe the carer and how she treats my mom, she went in the bathroom and asked if I own my house because there was some spots in the ceiling. I had to tell her she wasn't here for that, she is here to observe the carer who is treating my mom rough in the bathroom when showering my mom. Then you have another carer who wanted to fight me in my house because I told her she didn't give my mom her lunch time tablets. She explained my mom grabbed the pack from her. I went on to say we are trained to understand how dementia and Alzheimer's clients react and in that situation she should have changed the subject and then try administering the medication. I then said to her my mom shouldn't be treated less, she was up in my face saying 'you people'. I had to step back and ask her to leave. My experience continues.
I would highly recommend AQS as a care provider. The delivery of care is A star. My mum has been with AQS for 18 months now and she is very happy and satisfied. The carers are friendly and flexible. My mother received weekly schedules informing her of who is coming and at what time. The office team are supportive and always friendly on the phone. I would happily recommend this team to anyone.
My mother was with this company AQS Homecare Hampshire East from April 2018. Some staff were good other staff were not well trained to an acceptable level in our opinion, which the company is looking into. My mother has now moved to a new care company.
In the whole of 10.5 years of being disabled AQS were the best providers of care that I have ever had when dealing with a person such as I with a Spinal Injury, being paralysed from the chest down and wheelchair bound and not being the easiest to care for. They worked to a regular time schedule unlike many others. The staff were all trained to an acceptable level (unlike many others), they were the only ones that had Senior Carer's as well as the norm. Their out of hours contacts were real and live not just an answer phone as many others had.
