View Full Details of Home Instead (Croydon & Dulwich)My aunt has a main carer, who is fantastic, but all the carers that visit my aunt from Home Instead put her at the centre of what they do. They are always professional, very caring and will go the extra mile to ensure that all her needs are met. If something is of concern or needs doing it will be flagged up to the office. A recent example of this was changing the locks on my aunt's front door, which was carried out by Home Instead's handyman. The high quality of care that my aunt receives allows her to remain in her home, which is what she currently wishes to do.
Writing a review for Home Instead for the first time is really difficult because, of course, it is hard to accept help when you know you are perfect! Lack of experience means that expectations are not easily defined but sufficient to say that after a year I am still receiving care and support from the company. The management is attentive and efficient and the small touches as in acknowledging anniversaries were surprising and appreciated. I have found almost all the carers are helpful, friendly, patient, and respectful and as one's own world shrinks it is interesting and stimulating to meet new people of a younger generation.
Home Instead provides excellent service and care to my mother. They are very reliable, professional and caring. I would highly recommend it.
I am over the moon with my carer, when she comes there is no word. She really cleans my flat and if I want anything (coffee) she makes it when she comes, I thought I would have her for good. Please, please. Thank you all for the wonderful service I am getting.
I find the help I get is supportive and excellent. Couldn't do without them. I look forward to the help and company. I love that the ladies come from all over. I say "The world comes to me". I am so glad that I found Home Instead, it is my life, and support system.
As a family, we are very happy with the care provided by all the carers at Home Instead. In particular, one staff member has provided outstanding service and we are very grateful to her for all her help and advice. Another carer is also marvellous and really cares for my mother. One of the carers hasn't been with my mother long but she too is kind and thoughtful.
We have never had a problem with any of the staff, they have all been patient and helpful.
My helper comes each morning and helps me to dry after my shower and make me breakfast. She is very independent and has a lot of initiative so finds different tasks, like making my lunch, putting away laundry, checking the items in the fridge. She is friendly and we can joke and laugh together.
We were so pleased to find Home Instead. They looked after my in-laws through the last 5 years of their life. The care expanded as their needs developed enabling them to stay in their home despite finally needing 24-hour care. We found the team to be caring, professional, and adaptable, nothing was too much trouble. We always felt comfortable and confident in the care that was given. We have built a good relationship with the company and we always recommend family and friends to them. Throughout the time we have had them our mind was at ease knowing they would be well looked after and happy.
Satisfactory. The carer is a lovely girl. She is very helpful. I enjoy her company when she has a break.
The service is very good. No complaints we are very happy with the service that Mum is provided.
The company are well organised and the individual carers are very friendly and caring. My mother needs carers to keep her company in the evening.
Very happy with carers now it has settled to regular people. The carers are able to work with our mother to meet our and her needs and this has been echoed with the staff and management team.
A wonderful company I have been with Home Instead for seven years. Home Instead was always there when I needed them 24 hours a day. The carers always went beyond their duties when needed and were always there for help and advice. The whole management team were always available for advice and information. My husband always looked forward to the carers coming as they paid him a lot of attention and made him laugh. I will always remember how the staff came during Covid times with their PPE, even when my husband had Covid. Nothing was too much trouble for Home Instead. A very caring and kind agency.
I am gradually improving. The last year has been an improvement in walking better and faster. Within the house, I can look after myself in most personal areas. I can organise food deliveries, repairs etc. I don't hesitate that my intellectual prowess are waning. The service provided by Home Instead is good. They attend regularly and are efficient in helping with household chores etc.
I have had my carer for just over a year. She is such a lovely and works really hard, washing and cleaning. She is like a best friend. I miss her weekends. She helps showering and cleaning and also works and does my hair.
Home Instead have been a wonderful wonderful support to my mother-in-law she has problems with her mobility and memory. We have been impressed that the carers provide great companionship and help to stimulate her cognitive skills and memory. The team also support her at meal times as she forgets to eat. The team have made great suggestions about strategies for keeping mobile. (Love the move classes.)
My health problems have made life difficult but care staff have responded well to this and my changing needs. I am happy with the Home Instead agency.
I wanted to say how grateful I am to Home Instead for all the support and care they gave my mother during the last years of her life, including palliative care at home for five days. In particular, I would like to emphasise the dignity and respect they showed to my mum at a time in her life when she had little self-control due to dementia.
IMum has now passed away but whilst Home instead Croydon & Dulwich were providing daily Carers to support her to stay in her home and be as independent as possible I was always confident in the care that was being provided to her. The management team and carer staff were all helpful, friendly and flexible whenever needed. They were also extremely supportive whilst Mum was recovering from Covid at home too when I myself was unable to visit for 10 days. During that time they were in regular contact with me and adjusted the support as needed to get mum through that challenging time. I was very satisfied with their care of my mum over the 13+ months they were involved with her care.
