View Full Details of Allot Healthcare Services Ltd YorkAllot Care’s standard has dropped off since they took on my mother’s care in April. The current carer has poor language skills and seems to have come four times a day for three weeks with barely a break. I assume the provider is short of staff. I have just seen today’s carer come for mother’s lunch call today; she went through to the kitchen to clean every surface (again!) while my mother was in her chair without a meal and needing the toilet. I explained to the carer that it would be better to prioritise my mother’s needs but she just stared at me.
A relative of mine had Allot Healthcare after discharge from hospital. The carers never interacted with them and barely spoke, when they did it would be between themselves in a 2nd language. Relative was very uncomfortable when carers spoke in 2nd language in front of them. Carers would arrive late and leave earlier than the allotted time.
When my husband came out of hospital at the end of August 2022, Allot Healthcare were the care company appointed by the discharge team to look after him. In the 8 weeks that they cared for him, they have been amazing. Every one of the team members treated him with so much kindness and thoughtfulness. They all introduced themselves when they first arrived, helped make his "second" breakfast and were a pleasure to have in our home. The care they gave him was superb, I can't rate them highly enough. Even when he was obviously in the final stages of life they looked after him with dignity.
8 weeks ago my husband returned from hospital very scared and unable to stand and walk. I also was unsure whether I could cope, never having experienced this situation before. Two Allot carers came four times a day and thanks to their patience, care, understanding and encouragement my husband now believes in himself and regained his smile. He is also now standing in the hoist and making good progress thanks to the carers' efforts. They have become part of the team and our family. We have also had carers who have come regularly thanks to the management. They have helped me to think that I can do whatever the future holds for us both. They are always on time and so smiley and cheerful. Many thanks to everyone. I will always recommend them.
I would like to thank Allot Healthcare Services for the care they provided for my wife who sadly died 16 Aug 2019. The compassion shown and professionalism shown by the carers attending was beyond exceptional. Nothing appeared to be too much to ensure my wife had a comfortable ending to her life. Thank you.
Sadly my husband died very shortly after Allot Healthcare Services started providing a regular care service for him. However, during that time, both he and I were very happy with the cheerful, friendly service provided by his carers. Always ready to do anything asked of them the most important thing for us was just having regular visits with time to chat and provide emotional support for me at a very difficult time. I'm not supposed to use names here but I do hope that the managers will know who I'm talking about and pass on my grateful thanks to them.
When the carers arrive, they are always bright, cheerful and friendly. They work hard to form a bond with my husband and have quite a few laughs together. My husband is very well looked after and is always well presented after they have been. They get him up, washed and dressed and they seem to have pride in seeing him clean and happy. They treat us both with respect and often ask if there is anything more they can do to help. My life is much easier since having them.
I must say my carer is always excellent but about 2 weeks ago I could not get them on time.
I have now been attended to for seven months. I am aware that my physical condition her deteriorated. I am grateful for the care I have received and look forward to the future with confidence in your service.
