View Full Details of Ambassador HomeCare LtdWe have had Ambassador HomeCare for a number of years now, first for my husband, then for both of us, we both rate them highly. Like most care companies, short on staff but the main thing is the quality of care they give, nothing is too much trouble and if you have any issues they are quickly dealt with. We both recommend them.
Started off well. The good - they turned up. Sometimes late, understandably in this work. Some of their carers were lovely. Some smoked. One or two did not care at all. The bad - no continuity. Carers came in twos and chatted to each other, not to mum. Most did not encourage walking or even knew mum could walk. Talked down to mum or over her, she has had a stroke and can't speak now, but she still has a brain. This frustrated mum who could get angry. Accused mum of spitting and swearing when we left Ambassador to go to a different agency due to change and reduction in Care package. Nothing was said about this before. The change from Ambassador has been excellent. Mum has four regular carers now - one carer per visit. This equals - More care, more interaction. More walking. More learning about mum as a person.
