View Full Details of Bluebird Care MendipThe help I have received has been extremely helpful in the situation I find myself in. There has never been a time when anything is too much trouble and although I do find it difficult to ask for help the care team made it very easy to ask and don't make me feel awkward. Also the management have been very easy to deal with as well. My experience has been very good.
My wife had advanced dementia/Alzheimer's which was getting difficult to manage myself. Your team of carers came in and between them managed to care for my wife and take the pressure off despite having to cope with a very loud and agitated client. All staff showed care, patience and dignity. Always on time with a friendly smile. The lady in charge was exceptional. Well done and thank you.
On the whole, we are very pleased with Mum's quality of care. To improve the service even more, Bluebird Care could; - Inform the client of a change in care, particularly if new to the client. - Ensure the carer is present in the home for the pull time paid. - The carer to always be proactive in interacting with the client and not taking notes on her phone (really irritates my mum).
My first experience of non-family carers has been very good. Communication skills have worked well and overall, the care and willingness have been exceptional.
We found ourselves needing care urgently for my dad and not knowing what to do and where to turn! From the moment I spoke to the care manager, she put my mind to rest. My dad was assessed that day and care started two days later. The carers were kind and helpful. Every concern or query I had was dealt with immediately by the care manager and I was kept up-to-date with any problems or concerns they had too. I don't know what we would have done if I hadn't found Bluebird Care Mendip!
We chose Bluebird to care for Mum when she was no longer able to care for herself on leaving hospital following a fall. Over these 9 months, we have had a series of about five carers. Each has cared consistently for Mum with support from the Bluebird manager to ensure a smooth transfer and we are really pleased to see Mum accepting each new carer without issue.
Carers have been so kind to Mum and are guided by knowledgeable and understanding management.
My mother was very well cared for by the Gillingham Dorset Office. She was treated with respect and love by the ladies who looked after her. They were punctual, efficient and professional. Neither my mother nor I could have been happier with their service.
A thoroughly positive experience. Managers and care staff are reliable, attentive and adaptable to change. My mother is appreciative of their visits (even if she doesn't always communicate to them). I find that communication is very good and I am told of any concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.
At first, the service times were unreliable, but lately, it has improved greatly. All the carers are lovely, some better than others. The office staff are helpful when we need to contact them. Thank you all of you. Please remind carers to wear masks, as I have a low immune system.
I have found your service good and sometimes excellent. Some of the younger ones haven't got a clue, particularly when making a very simple breakfast - I think some basic training before they come the first time on how to boil an egg and other simple foods. The experienced ones give a very good service.
The carers have been very helpful with different duties to enable my sister to carry on living independently. The have been very helpful in assisting her with shopping, doctor appointments and even taking her to visit her mum's grave in a nearby village.
The carers that come to look after my father are always kind, caring and considerate.
My son has had excellent care from the staff he has weekly. He looks forward to their visits. Ha has special needs and little speech but the staff understand his needs and are well-trained in coping with any issues. A big thank you to all involved with him.
Things are usually the same, no problems reported. The staff do a thorough review no complaints.
On the whole, I am very pleased with the service I receive, but not happy when my carers, whom I am expecting, are sent somewhere else with no notice and no reason as to why e.g. sickness or staff shortage. The last time it happened was yesterday.
All the care staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had a few issues and brought it up with the supervisor, and it was addressed very promptly. Great service, and love having the app, as it reassures us when we are out and we can just check everything went ok. The staff are very good with the dog, who can be a pain at times and noisy. Overall, very happy with the service, and they all do a great job, especially trying to fit in extra visits.
Bluebird looks after my Dad, his usual carers are excellent. They know him well and look after him to a very high standard, we only have problems when Bluebird have to send in someone he doesn't know well, which of course happens from time to time and can't be helped. The admin team try to only send in carers he knows which I appreciate and the supervisor who looks after Dad's team goes above and beyond. All in all a very happy customer.
All the Carers are lovely helpful people without exception. My Wife obviously relates to some better than others. The Co-ordinator has recognised this and is increasingly moving to concentrate on these people leading to a very good and improving relationship almost as friends. Everyone we come into contact with at Bluebird Mendip has been kind, helpful and obliging.
Staff are friendly and supportive of mother, communication with carers is good. Generally works well. Disappointed the visit record folder has been invaluable due to my mother's Alzheimer's. Have asked twice for login details for the "OpenPass" without success. This access is very important to my sister and me.
