I feel that the office is friendly when I call them, I feel like people take the time to listen to me rather than rush me off the phone, I'm happy with the majority of carers. I feel like the recent changes in the management team have been beneficial to the company. Carers don't always get enough travel time so it means sometimes they have to leave my call early, it seems to take forever to get a meeting with managers and forever to solve problems. I don't feel like all carers read care plans or know enough about clients or take the time to learn. It can be difficult to get hold of people to speak on the phone. I don't get consistent responses when discussing things with management team and they are always very vague. I feel like training isn't tailored especially for my needs or others with complex needs. The office is not accessible. I have been let down by office staff when they have promised things such as contacting me or appointments. I don't have much choice when my calls are.
I am very happy with the care my parents receive, the carers are always polite and always go above and beyond. They will always give us a call if they have any concerns to pass on and they all dedicated and hardworking.
I'm really pleased with the service personal assistance given to my Grandparents. It has given them a new lease of life they have weekly trips to Crystal Peaks and Meadowhall and on other days get their tea cooked and help around the house with cleaning ironing, changing bedding etc.
My husband is very happy with the carers he has and they are all extremely kind and caring. They often stay over the time they should and stayed with us for serveral hours to wait for an ambulance. We are very happy with the service.
Personal Assist has supported me throughout the pandemic and during lockdown. The carers are helpful and always brighten my day. I would have been isolated without them. I am very happy with the service and my carers have never let me down.
This company has been caring for my Mum for some time now and the service and care they give is exceptional. My Mum loves all the carers and they really look after her. Both my sister and I live away and it is such a comfort to know she is being looked after so well. Mum recently came out of the hospital and on arrival, her house phone was not working. The carer stayed beyond her allotted time until she had the phone working and kept me updated. I couldn’t wish for a better service and I would highly recommend this company. They have been lifesavers for my Mum and me, especially through the pandemic. Great Company and great service.
This company is appalling. They make things up as they go along, do not follow their own policies and procedures. Do not follow care plans. Do not have enough staff, cancel 45 minutes before arrival and the office staff do not care about what they do to their service users. Change your appointment times whenever they feel like it and don't let you know. Leaving you with a very distressed little girl. They should be shut down, I am now owed 48 hours of cancelled visits which you can't ever use.
Excellent friendly service which my mother and myself greatly appreciated. She has now gone into a care home but I would have no hesitation in recommending you. The ease of use was first class, flexible visiting and easy to contact. Thank you.
We have used the service for about 10 weeks now and are very happy with the staff and the service they are providing. Several changes have been made to the service since the start and all have been implemented easily. The service is flexible so that given a little notice visits are easily arranged and the level of service temporarily changed accordingly.
I have been with Personal Assist since November 2019. I am extremely pleased with their service. I am more than confident to trust all their staff with my daughter. They also go above and beyond their needs. My daughter is very happy with them too. They are highly trained staff and are always accommodating to the time/hours we need.
My mum seems very pleased with the service she is receiving and speaks very highly of her carer. I personally am very pleased with the service my mum is receiving and feel it will be a great asset for the future as she finds household chores and getting about more difficult. As well as getting help with things she now finds difficult to do she enjoys the contact with her carer. I am also confident that any concerns I have, as I live quite a distance away, will be dealt with professionally.
As mum has now had to go into a nursing home, we've only had your services for 6 weeks. But it has been a very rewarding 6 weeks. Mum has been happy with her outings and enjoyed the company. We have already passed your name onto two other people and will continue to do so.
The care and support provided by Personal Assist for night sits was 1st class. The ladies were absolutely brilliant, arriving early before their due time, very friendly, but also very professional, they continually monitored and logged how my brother was throughout the night, talked to him, let us know immediately if there were any problems (which I had asked them to do). Also excellent Office/Management team. I would have no hesitation in asking for their help if needed again.

Personal Assist have given both my children independence and choice. They both look forward to the time they spend with their PA’s. The team at Personal Assist are professional and approachable and we all feel that they genuinely care for their clients.

I have been very pleased with the service that my father has received from this care company. The owner did a good first introductory interview of my father with myself present. They have tried to match him with a suitable carer and the owner has often attended to check that the arrangements are suitable. They are kind and considerate as well as being empathetic to his needs. Also, they have been willing to accept additional responsibilities such as checking my father's catheter, alerting me to any problems and, recently, staying with and attending to him until an ambulance arrived. They have excellent communication skills and respond well to any concerns. We are quite satisfied with the charges and billing.
My close friend uses this service to get to and from appointments safely. The girls are all lovely and everyone always goes above and beyond. He has the same lady every week and he would be lost without her. Before he was very isolated and depressed. This service has really improved his quality of life. First class.
