View Full Details of Nest Homecare LtdLast year, my father rapidly became quite frail and confused, culminating in a fall and a stint in hospital. A manager from Nest visited at very short notice to review his needs. They were so knowledgeable, kind, and professional and stayed with Dad for well over an hour to discuss his care options, which were put in place only a few days later. Since then they've been outstanding. Their managers are always available and administer every possible aspect of his care, 24/7/365, which is wrapped up in his hourly fees at no extra cost. Nothing is too much trouble, from pharmacy collections, to arranging last minute extra care over Christmas. The carers themselves are brilliant and Dad loves having them around. I couldn't recommend this care company enough!
We were entirely happy with the care and attention received from Nest. They enabled my father to live and die at home with dignity. Both their management and carer were supportive and understanding.
To the management and all the amazing carers at Nest Homecare, myself, my brothers and my sister want to say thank you for looking after our parents. We couldn't have asked for a better company. The carers, all so professional, experienced and kind went above and beyond to care for our Mum and Dad. Sadly, our Mum passed away in June 2024, which left our Dad living on his own. We upped the times your carers would come to be with him daily which was such a comfort to him and us. He has made some lovely friends with your carers. I highly recommend Nest Homecare. Many thanks for everything girls.
Nest have been providing care for my family member for a few years now but we have recently increased their package. They try to provide continuity in the carers and are very understanding of my family member's individual needs. They give care with dignity and a smile.
My mother-in-law's partner, at 92 years old, was already receiving fantastic care from Nest, with two visits per week while my mother-in-law was travelling. Despite his age, he is strong-willed and insists on going to the shops alone, taking long walks, and staying active. Unfortunately, he suffered a fall on one his his little adventures and was taken to A and E. Upon his return home, I contacted Nest, and they immediately sprang into action, increasing his visits and providing excellent communication and guidance on the next steps and longer-term planning. Thanks to their support, he made a quick recovery and we feel confident of his ongoing care through the help of Nest.
My mother has dementia but was still living on her own. The care given was exceptional. The caregivers were caring, understanding, and interested in what Mum had to say. Mum really liked them and was excited when they were due. I can not fault them at all. When it was obvious to them that Mum needed more care in different areas I was told immediately. We carried on with the care provider until they advised that she could no longer be safe when she was on her own. Mum is now in a nursing home near me in the area, and often talks about the lovely girls who looked after her!
Nest has given excellent service to my 90-year-old mother. They were quick to respond when her need for care became apparent and added her to their schedule seamlessly. All of the carers are very professional and extremely kind, as are the office staff. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
My elderly mother was admitted to hospital this spring and it became apparent to me that upon discharge she would need some support to continue living at home. I felt Mum needed some full-time care initially to enable her to gain confidence to be able to live back at home and due to a family wedding and childcare duties I felt I was unable to provide this care. Nest quickly found someone to live in for 3 weeks. The carer was brilliant. Mum's personal needs were met and the house was spotless. Mum regained enough confidence for us to be able to reduce the visits to 1 hour per day. I have found the team to be very approachable, caring and sensitive to Mum's needs. At first, Mum was reluctant to consider needing help but she now sees that this is the best way to maintain her independence at home. I live about 45 minutes away from Mum and have other family responsibilities so cannot visit every day. I would highly recommend Nest to anyone who is in need of care help at home. Thank you.
I would highly recommend these guys. Their care manager was just amazing and despite ringing at 5:30 pm as an emergency had care set up very soon. We didn't get to use them that long as sadly my mum passed away. The care manager was just amazing and her communication was perfect. Thank you for your support in such a tough time. Mum had Alzheimer's and my dad was at home with my mum and they supported them both and myself as the daughter.
We contacted Nest shortly after our Father passed away in February due to our mother having Alzheimer's and found them to be very caring and considerate of our situation. We initiated a home visit to assess my Mother's needs and they were very thorough and friendly and put Mum at ease. They chatted easily with her to find out her likes and dislikes in order to find a carer that would fit perfectly. We are now into the 4th month of having a live-in carer with Mum, both the main carer and break cover carer are lovely happy people and they are so kind, caring and considerate and look after our Mum so well, Mum is settled and we feel happy knowing she is safe and being well looked after. I highly recommend Nest.
We hired Nest for a friend with dementia. She had three visits a day, one hour per visit. She also had a period of 3 weeks with a live-in carer. The carers have been so kind. They really care. They'd give her the medication, were very thorough, would help her keep clean, and would do little quizzes with her to help with the memory. They took her to appointments, to do shopping, and even out for a coffee. They made sure she'd eaten, and if she hadn't they would cook something for her. They had a good understanding of my friend's health requirements and I can't recommend them highly enough. The office regularly kept in touch with me, and being able to read the carer's report of each visit was very helpful.
Very happy with the service Nest provide for my elderly mother. The carers are conscientious and helpful. It’s a relief to know that someone is visiting Mum twice a day and she looks forward to their visits.
I can not fault the care Nest have provided! Over several years they provided extra care at short notice when we had a crisis and the kindness of one particular carer when my mother had a fall was above and beyond!
I am very satisfied with the care that is given by Nest Homecare to my husband. My husband is also very happy to see two of them twice a day. The carers are mostly dressed in carer-appropriate clothes; they are friendly and courteous to my husband and are usually happy to be here in our house.
The carers provided for post-operative care were all very nice and very helpful and were on a schedule done at very short notice when a previously booked service had to withdraw. I appreciated the prompt and pleasant 'stepping into the breach' by the Nest HomeCare management.
Nest has looked after my elderly mother, in her mid-nineties, twice: the first time when she experienced a hip replacement and then in September this year (2022) when she had a shoulder replacement. She is very independent and resistant to anyone helping her but she appreciated the very sensitive and competent care she received from some exceptionally kind care assistants. My mother lives in Berkshire whilst I live in Merseyside and am coping with serious health issues of my own: therefore, whilst my mother recovered from surgery, it was a worrying time for me but I was always able to speak to the Nest team and share my concerns. They always understood, so they helped me a lot. The flexibility of the Nest offer is very attractive: they can tailor make their support to each individual, according to need and they can upscale or downscale the number of hours offered, again according to what is required. We will certainly turn to them again when we need further help.
If you’re looking for live-in care, don’t bother looking elsewhere. We found Nest online 15 months ago as we needed a live-in carer for my elderly mother-in-law. We’ve been more than impressed by their professionalism, level of customer service, responsiveness, practical help, the standard of carers provided and post-service support when the time came for a move into a nursing home environment. Help, support and advice were invaluable. A key marker for us was the fact that they have very happy employees, always a good sign of a good employer.
The full-time home care provided by Nest for my mother was for only a brief period but the time, effort, work put into the preparation for the care was exceptional, ensuring that my mother, with dementia, mobility and other issues, was taken from hospital as quickly as possible into a safe place at home where she could care for in her familiar surroundings. The manager involved went well beyond what I would expect her to do ensuring that my mother was taken from the hospital and well cared for. The carer herself dealt with the situation and my mother with great patience and skill, including preparing at very short notice (40 mins) for her long journey to a nursing home to be with my father. I would thoroughly recommend.
From the first meeting with Nest Homecare and the assessment of my mother with Dementia to the sad day I finally had to ask Nest to take my mother to a Care Home, they took care of everything that was required. From food shopping to visits to the doctor, to the care and company at home my mother required. I have nothing but praise for the entire team at Nest, the staff care about what they do and who they care for. Not living close to my Mother and not having much help, it was a massive relief when I asked Nest to start daily visits. Highly recommend.
I have been extremely pleased with the help I have had from the girls. Sometimes I don't have enough things for them to do in the time allocated to me.
