View Full Details of Pineshield Health and Social Care ServicesPineshield I believe tries hard, but does fall down. Right now they are overwhelmed with contracts from social services. This is affecting the quality of their service. Late arrivals are extremely bad! a) Mother must have fluids and eat on time. b) Late arrivals conflict with my respite time! c) Means I go to bed too late! d) Pineshield has had great difficulties with carers off work sick. They are poor in handling such events. Overloading Pineshield with extra service users from social services due to other care providers failing would make Pineshield care service crumble if someone goes off sick. e) Many times carers come late by 15 minutes. This 25-minute rule is for one of the incidents and not everyday rota planning! f) Pineshield has phoned me to say their carers have been delayed due to the previous appointment where in truth an extra service user was inserted into the schedule, rendering the 30 min late rule phone call absurd. These rules only work with honesty!
Pineshield has been providing care for my mother for four months now and have been just wonderful. My mother receives multiple calls per day due to a chronic lung condition, and also due to her failing eyesight and hearing. The calls require the carers to not only help prepare lunch and help with mum's personal care but they also help to deliver six nebulisers a day, which is no mean feat! All of the carers have been brilliant. They are caring, kind, sympathetic, professional and have really put my mum's anxiety at ease over her punishing nebuliser routine. Mum loves the social interaction with the girls as she had been feeling very lonely and mum also gets the support and reassurance she needs. I can’t recommend Pineshield enough and don’t know what we would have done without them.
