View Full Details of Home Instead (Folkestone, Hythe & Ashford)Mum's 'Home Instead' carers are, without exception, professional and kind. They bring more to the visits than excellent personal care. They take an interest in Mum as a person and offer a variety of conversations to enrich her day. We could not care for Mum at home as we do without their input.
My dad is very happy with the support he receives and considers his carer as a friend.
All the Care Pros that come to see Dad are wonderful. He has some mobility issues and can be a bit sleepy at times, but they are all very patient with him. They are also very encouraging to me as I am Dad's main carer.
Carers all very helpful, talkative and friendly. Very supportive when I am not feeling well. I would like more mixed carers in the evening sometimes. as have a male carer several nights in a row. Would like a lady carer in between male visits. Timing of visits has improved lately.
My experience with my caregiver has been excellent. She arrives on time, is appropriately dressed, always friendly and helpful. She makes me feel very comfortable with very personal help and can always think outside the box. I feel most comfortable that she is my care provider.
All management and caring seem to be spot on. I am pleased with all communications, the quarterly reviews, and how carers keep an eye out for any health changes that they notice. I am happy for this service to continue.
Timely, prompt and friendly visits. With all tasks efficiently carried out. We receive regular visits from a small team. We appreciate the variety of personalities, obviously we don't want too big a team but a bit of variety is great.
Having had a poor experience with a care provider I approached with some hesitation. I needn't have worried. The manager who came to visit us was lovely. Understanding, knowledgable, empathetic and efficient. The carer companion she selected for us is a perfect "fit". She is capable, caring and understanding. Both myself and my husband feel safe and comfortable with her. Well done Home Instead.
Was using the service for a few hours each week. Then had a health crisis with my husband, within 24 hours they had set up all the help I needed including overnight waking care. It was all up and running before the OT (Occupational Therapist), physio, etc visited 3 days later. Amazing service.
We originally contacted Home Instead after a recommendation from another service user. My mother required some care sessions to help her with getting ready for the day ahead and ensuring she had breakfast and had taken her medication. Mum's initial assessment was done promptly and a care package was agreed. The 2 carers were very supportive and kind. We were contacted if there would be a change in any visit. Thank you to all at Home Instead on behalf of our family.
Choosing a care provider is always a difficult time and we are so pleased and relieved that we decided to use Home Instead. Every aspect of our father’s care was dealt with professionally and with great sensitivity. We couldn’t have been more fortunate with the carer they found us and the management support was just brilliant.
All the care professionals from Home Instead have dealt with Mum in a caring, friendly manner and have always treated her with kindness and respect; they’ve often gone the extra mile when any issues have arisen. Under their supervision, she has progressed amazingly well after her long stay in hospital and has regained her strength and confidence. I live a couple of hundred miles away and Mum and I need a care provider that is reliable and does things properly. The service given by both the care professionals and the office-based staff at Home Instead has been exemplary and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.
The team from Home instead were highly professional and cared for my late father with great understanding and flexibility. My family will forever be grateful for the efforts of all concerned during a difficult time. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
My 84-year-old mother with dementia needed daily help from a caregiver each morning in October 2021 after a fall. We feel so fortunate that we found Home Instead. From the start they were helpful, informative, flexible and kind. The care my mother received was excellent. They did such a wonderful job in helping to bring back her confidence after her fall that she no longer needs the extra help at the moment. We will both be forever grateful.
My experience of Home Instead is only my second experience of establishing care for my 91-year-old parents. And the difference between the 2 organisations is marked. Home Instead have, from the get-go, been conscientious, responsive, flexible, compassionate, enthusiastic and above all extremely understanding of the sensitivities and anxiety around making difficult decisions about a challenging time in the lives of 2 very independent people! From the manager, trainer, scheduler, owner, to the charming, kind and caring caregivers themselves-everyone seems to want to do their best for my parents to make life that bit more comfortable. The caregivers are all very different, each with her strengths and it is a great comfort to know that the relationship between each of them and my parents continues to be supportive and caring.
Some carers do more than other carers. Some care more.
Caregiver - reliable, kind, thoughtful and encouraging. Office - very helpful and accommodating.
I am relieved to meet such kind support carers. My fear is, this pandemic could be carried by any carer who has not agreed to be vaccinated!
My caregiver really cares about what she does, and she cares about me as a person as well as helping me to do things that help me to stay independent. Without her help and experienced support, I could not continue to live where I do. I also love the chance to talk about so many things and memories.
I cannot imagine how I would have coped throughout the latest lockdown without my caregiver. They help me with all of tasks which I can no longer manage and they offer companionship. My closest family members and friends do not appreciate the loneliness and isolation as none of them go home to an empty house. I hope that my caregivers and the office staff realise how much I appreciate them.
