View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Cardiff)I cannot praise Helping Hands highly enough. The difference they have made to my mum's life - and by extension mine - is immeasurable. The care and consideration they show is amazing. They are never too busy to speak to us and are incredibly flexible. We have come to rely on them for so much and feel they are part of the family. I do not know where you find your team or how you pick them but congratulations on having such amazing people as part of your organisation.
Mum is very happy with the care provided. The carers are helpful and cheerful at all times. She looks forward to seeing them in the morning. They are always ready to listen and support her needs. She enjoys their company and although, initially reluctant to accept help has benefitted from her interaction with the carers on a regular basis.
Overall a very good experience over a period of 5 years. Helpful, considerate and caring helpers. Attentive to my wife's particular needs and demonstrate warmth and a very caring attitude at all times. The help required is quite complex and varied and it requires an intelligent approach which is always carried out cheerfully. A well run office and a manager who responds well to requests and changes whenever necessary.
Professional service and staff. The team have been invaluable in helping us as a family care for my father over the past 3 months. Helping hands have been so accommodating in providing dad with the best care. The staff are always helpful, polite and courteous. Thank you.
Knowing that my dad is being cared for by professional and caring staff is a huge relief. They are courteous and kind and show a sense of genuine concern for my dad and professionalism in executing their tasks. They provide excellent care and company for my father. I find the feedback/online portal extremely useful as carers can leave important insights for me to follow up on (about his health but also about shopping items that are needed). I cannot overstate my gratitude for dad's care. He is very thankful, too, and most of the carers seem to have a good rapport with him.
We are very happy with the service Helping Hands provides. Very good carers and office staff and nothing is ever too much trouble. We would (and have) highly recommend to anyone requiring care at home, to use Helping Hands.
Excellent care so far. My mum was reluctant to engage with care initially but has been very positive about her experience. Likely we will increase package in due course. Carers have been friendly and very helpful. Easy to contact office when we have needed to amend visits.
The carers have been helpful, charming, well-dressed and cheerful. They always look to see what washing needs to be done and offer to make meals and always make a coffee before leaving. The bed is made and clothes are tidied away.
In general, I have been pleased with the service that I have received. Mostly they have been providing lunch, washing up etc. One or two of the helpers were inexperienced in the basics. It was disappointing that I was not provided with invoices from the beginning and when copies were received there were some errors found needless to say not in my favour! It was also done before I was able to attain a copy of your Terms and Conditions.
We have been using the services of Helping Hands for about 6 months and have been really impressed by the carers and the support of the office team. Everyone has understood the gentle approach we have wanted to take to introduce companionship type care. The office helped us to introduce this kind of support gently and with sensitivity. The carers have all been excellent - really understanding of our needs and providing the right kind of support for my mum-in-law enabling her to live a full and relatively independent life.
Helping Hands have been providing care for my mum for the last month. They have so far provided a wonderful team of carers, all of which are genuinely lovely and each has formed a close relationship with Mum in a short space of time. Continuity of carers is very important for Mum as she does require five care calls a day to help deliver her nebulisers, she also suffers with high levels of anxiety. It has been quite a large team providing care over the last few weeks but Helping Hands have gone out of there way to try to keep to the same carer for each call and it has been working very well. I can't find any fault with Helping Hands they have provided a professional service and I hope that they continue to provide Mum with care going forward.
I am sure this review is long overdue. My mother is extremely happy with the overall service. Although frustration does occur it is rare and often on night shifts when Mum gets tired. All of the carers, bar one, are extremely caring and thoughtful. The arrangement is perfect for the present circumstances.
I am very pleased with the standard of care my father receives. He does find the number of different carers that attention a problem. I understand that this can't be helped sometimes, but would be grateful if this doesn't happen too often in the future. Unfortunately, we had a problem with finance last years with the company, which has been sorted out thankfully. Overall, I am very pleased and grateful to the carers who have looked after my father so well during the past very difficult year during the pandemic.
The Helping Hands carer who attends to my 90-year-old parents is kind, courteous and performs his tasks in a friendly and efficient manner. My mother loves to chat with him about her singing career while he always treated them both with the utmost respect and dignity.
Management is extremely helpful and responsive. The majority of staff are excellent, but when numbers are involved, there are bound to be the individual who does not match the standards of the others. Overall, I am extremely grateful and happy with the service, especially as the "client" is not always easy.
