View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Barnet)I was concerned when my elderly friend, who had no close family was showing signs of needing assistance. I phoned various agencies but something about Helping Hands Home Care made me feel confident and reassured. I was right! My friend has regular cares who assist in shopping, hospital appointments, coffee trips and companionship. They are like good friends, kind, caring, respectful, efficient and professional. Management staff are always helpful and sort problems immediately. Thank you Helping Hands, you're brilliant!
You do exactly what I want for my wife who has dementia.
We cannot speak highly enough of Helping Hands Home Care (Barnet) they are always here to help. Always polite, pleasant and helpful. We are far away so it's very important to know the care is always here. Thank you.
The service is a huge asset to both my partner who receives treatment and myself because it takes a great amount of stress away from me. We look forward to our twice weekly visits from our carer who is great company for us and very knowledgeable.
My care is good and meets my requirements. The administration from the office is not satisfactory. Times are changed and I am not told. If my carer is on holiday, I am never contacted and told who is coming instead. If she herself didn't tell me she was going to be away I wouldn't know. She does but I always have to ring the office to find out the arrangements.
Too expensive!
Avoid. I hired Helping Hands to care for my mum on Sundays, so that my usual carers (through another agency) could have a day off. Helping Hands promised much and delivered nothing. Far from providing continuity of care with one regular carer or, at the very least, a team of two or three, I had a seemingly endless stream of people arriving. Often two new people in one day. Each time I would be there to talk them through my mum's routine and meds (for some reason, this information did not appear on her notes. The two most recent carers said they wouldn't have had a clue what to do had I not been there), hoping we were sorted, but no. The next week, a new name would appear on my rota. Add to this, changes made to call times (without consulting me), invoicing errors (I was invoiced for 2 hours when I had had only 30 minutes' care), and an inability to provide cover when they canceled this Sunday's carer with just 3 days notice and you can see why I have gone elsewhere. The review is based on management, not carers.
Carers were very friendly and helpful.
My Helping Hands Home Care (Barnet) carer is a little gem. She's incredibly caring and efficient and brightens my day. All other carers I've experienced have been equally good. I can't recommend Helping Hands enough.
I have been treated now for a long time and I can only say how satisfied I am with Helping Hands. So continue please with your help.
Following my initial contact instant assessment was made by phone. I am very satisfied with the carer who is highly experienced and professional. Devoted to her job, always willing to oblige and make service user satisfied.
I have had regular care assistance from Helping Hands for two years and have been very complimentary about their service. The carers are cheerful, thoughtful, efficient and kind.
I am very pleased with the team of carers. I am particularly impressed with the main carer who oversees my well being and general running of the house conscientiously. All carers are very friendly, will help with any tasks and are very helpful. If it wasn't for my carers, I would not be able to live in my own home.
I have used a number of care agencies over the past few years and never truly satisfied with the service. I saw Helping Hands on CQC website along with the rating and user feedback and engaged them. Since day one they have been brilliant. While my mum's needs have increased recently they have been nothing short of magnificent and I cannot say enough good things about them.
Carers are always kind and patient with my daughter and accommodate her needs. She looks forward to seeing them and they always provide great care for her. She trusts them and feels comfortable to be with them. The office staff are very polite and friendly, also easy to get hold of to make any amendments or cancellations on her schedule.
I have used Helping Hands Home Care (Barnet) for several years now and have always been impressed by the competence, empathy and ability of the carers to provide my husband with a ray of sunshine on their daily visits. Also, recently finding myself in a situation of emergency, Helping Hands came to the rescue immediately and efficiently when contacted. They provided the best support I could have wished for at very short notice. My husband was happy and it was very reassuring for me to know that the service was of such high quality. The staff could be contacted easily and were always very understanding and responsive. I would highly recommend Helping Hands. Their service has been invaluable. I am very grateful for all the joy it has brought my husband and the peace of mind and support they have given me.
I think the carers do a good job and are very helpful and caring.
Helping Hands Barnet have provided exactly the support my mum and our family needed. We all felt reassured that Mum was in capable hands. Nothing was ever too much to ask. They were flexible to our needs, even helping with taking Mum to appointments or getting bits of shopping when needed. Would 100% recommend.
As a family, our experience with Helping Hands (Barnet) has been second to none. From carers to office staff, they have all been incredibly helpful, going the extra mile always. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home care provider.
Nothing is too much trouble. The carer feels like one of the family.
