View Full Details of Pol Community Care LtdWonderful hardworking, patient, kind and friendly carers. My elderly parents have felt very comfortable with the carers, visiting their home 4 times a day to attend to my tetraplegic brother's needs. They work well alongside the district nurses as part of a package of care.
We started using Polcare at very short notice when Mum started struggling on her own. They instantly stepped in and Mum's life started to improve. She referred to all of the carers as friends, and reading what the carers wrote about each visit on the app was such a comfort to us living so far away. Carers often went the extra mile without being asked. Taking Mum out for little walks, making homemade smoothies, and generally thinking about her happiness. As Mum deteriorated they were walking into increasing chaos and problems in her flat, but they dealt with each situation calmly and professionally. Mum is now in a care home and is very happy, but still talks fondly about her friends who used to visit her. They enabled her to remain in her own home for a lot longer than we thought, and some of them are very special carers.
Ladies always pleasant and cheerful. In my case they need patience and they have plenty. Look forward to them coming, not always on time but I understand I am not the only client. I wish I could afford longer visits. I find the office staff very pleasant too, invoices very clear to understand which helps a lot. Knowledge of caring for older people is very good, knowledge of products used is also very good. Thanks very much.
My father-in-law had cancer and lived in a house with a wonderful view of the sea. He was adamant that he wanted to stay at home to die with my mother-in-law. Pol Care provided the most wonderful service. They always answered the phone when I called, not the dreaded answer phone or having to press lots of buttons and being told that my call is important by a recorded voice. The carers that came were all very kind and professional and we felt at ease with them coming and going through the day and night. They gave him dignified and gentle personal care. They were practical and tactful as the situation was far from ideal in terms of working space for them. He died peacefully yesterday morning with his wife holding his hand in the house that he loved. I can't thank them enough.
Pol Community Care provide daily care and support for my elderly father, which enables him to continue living in his own home. The carers are friendly and helpful. Dad sees the same carers regularly and they treat him with dignity and kindness and have taken the trouble to get to know him; his likes and dislikes, enough to have a joke and put a smile on his face! The management team are extremely knowledgeable and supportive and have always had the time to answer my calls and queries to give valued advice, which is much appreciated and reassuring. Dad's care requirements have changed over time and Pol Community Care have, very thankfully, been able to put into place the care support to meet his needs as they have increased.
We had several ladies during our week. They were all very friendly, capable and respectful. Indeed we had a good laugh with them. Thank you.
I used Pol Community Care for my holiday in Cornwall the staff were friendly and I was treated with dignity.
I have used Pol Community Care for the last three years each time I come to Cornwall. I have always found the carers to be very caring and attentive to my needs, they have empathy and give me the utmost dignity at all times. Timekeeping is excellent and I never feel hurried during any aspect of my care. Thank you Pol Community Care, see you next year.
I cannot recommend Pol Community Care Ltd highly enough as we would have been totally lost without them. My mother-in-law lost her husband 3 years ago and lives on her own, we live 200 miles away so their care has been invaluable. They have been such a great help with looking after my mother in law, always on call at the drop of a hat. Nothing has ever been a problem even with the most challenging situations.
Pol Community has provided care and support for my father and mother for the last 4-years, initially sitting with Dad enabling Mum to have some free time, and now providing a carer three times a day for Mum. They have done an excellent job throughout this time, adapting their care whenever needed, often at short notice (when Dad was very ill, they provided night sits so that we could get some sleep). Mum considers her carers to be friends and always looks forward to seeing them. I couldn't recommend Pol Community more highly, they have been such great support to the whole family. Now that Mum is having a live-in carer, we intend to use Pol whenever necessary, to supplement her care.
Excellent help at all times. Also stepped up for me in an emergency. The carers were very caring and supportive to my son who has Parkinson’s and certainly gave me a lot of moral support. I would recommend them every time with no hesitation.
Excellent service. Carers very helpful and supportive. We are so lucky!
Excellent, always helpful.
They are caring and have time for my husband's many needs. I have complete faith that they will flag up anything that needs attention. The staff are never rushed and are very professional.
We had not expected to have so many different carers, although each of them are good in their own way.
Overall, a very good service. The carers are attentive, kind and considerate. I feel secure in my home and relaxed when the carers are in attendance.
My relative has been using Pol Community Care since the end of 2018. I have been very pleased with the care offered. We have 'tweaked' her level of support to meet her needs and without exception, she has found all of the carers to be friendly, kind and helpful. As an example, one lady even turned up on Mother's Day with a bouquet for my aunt who has no children of her own. My aunt was really touched, as was I, by this gesture of thoughtfulness. The office staff have been very helpful too and have arranged for me to have access to the system which records brief notes on each of the visits paid to my aunt. This allows me to monitor her welfare on a daily basis and call if she is feeling a bit down or unwell. The whole arrangement is working really well and as the nearest relative lives 5 hours drive away from my aunt's home it is reassuring to know she is in good hands with Pol Community Care!
