View Full Details of Trends HealthcareAfter Mum was admitted to hospital and not knowing how long she would be in for we had to admit Dad to a care home. After six months in hospital and with numerous issues the best outcome for Mum was to discharge her back to her own home with 24/7 care. Having had experience over the last two years with various carers looking after Mum and Dad and I was very concerned, previous carers would turn up for the minimum amount of time and only do the very basic e.g wash, dress, cup of tea and a sandwich. To my absolute relief Trends Healthcare went above and beyond whilst looking after my mum over the last year. The team prepared meals, helped with cleaning and washing, dealt with Mum's personal needs, but more importantly offered emotional support, compassion and company. I am so grateful and will always have fond memories of the team. Many thanks to various staff members.
I have found Trends to be very helpful and very caring, as a paraplegic, they have made me feel safe, which in turn, allows me to live an independent life. I would highly recommend them. My care team are on time and very professional while being friendly and make me smile, which is good for the soul.
Trends Healthcare provides funded care for my severely disabled mother. The carers are kind, friendly and professional. I have power of attorney and I am consulted regarding decisions relating to her care. The manager is an amazing person who employs outstanding staff. Office staff have always been polite, friendly and efficient. I have faith that my mum is expertly cared for, and I can see that she has a close bond with the carers, and they really do care about her.
My husband has had excellent support from the carers. His condition is degenerative and changes from day to day, so we would not be in the stable position that we currently have, without the dedicated and vigilant care he receives. As his wife, there are times when it is overwhelming and knowing that there are professional and compassionate carers to take charge is a lifeline. The carers have become an integral part of our family life and they understand how busy that can be at times. The office staff have been extremely helpful and have responded immediately to any concerns. They have taken responsibility for managing the prescription orders and have gone above and beyond in ensuring that we have sufficient medication. Thank you.
Trends have been a godsend to help me support my husband in our homemaking sure he is as comfortable as he can be. Carers are very genuine and always try to go the extra mile to make my husband happy, I was always very cautious of allowing carers into my home however Trends made this a good experience and it really took the pressure off me.
The management needs work on communication and attitude. There was one carer who tried her best to provide a good service for which we were grateful. But unfortunately, it was management who let the company down and proved to be disappointing.
Professional caring kind. They feel like family. I have complete confidence in their ability to keep my sister in her home with their continuing care. This relieves a lot of pressure from me seeing my sister comfortable and content.
My mother in law was discharged from hospital into palliative care at home in January 2017 - my wife and I live in a semi-detached next door to Mum. Mum was totally bedridden and needed caring to on a regular daily basis. We were delighted when the manager and her team introduced themselves and took over the personal caring of Mum. The carers, both male and female, were very professional and showed such respect and love, not only to Mum but to my wife and I also. Over time we got to know the carers as friends who became almost part of our family. My wife and I would sometimes become upset and emotional as many would be aware that home caring can be very stressful at times, the manager and her team also cared and supported us through those periods. Mum passed away 2 weeks ago and is at peace now. R.I.P MUM. My wife and I want to thank the manager and everyone at TRENDS that cared for Mum from the bottom of our hearts for the love and support you gave us all. God Bless.
I contacted Trends requesting support to care for my elderly father who had a number of medical problems. As my mother also has Alzheimer’s we needed an agency who were professional and understanding. They treated both my parents with dignity and respect. As family members and carers they made sure we were fully advised. They also provided emotional support at the critical time before my father died.
