View Full Details of Home Instead (Chingford)I've been using the services of Home Instead Chingford since their inception and have had some wonderful carers. It makes a great start to the day to have someone to talk to and help me with my needs. I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone seeking care.
Absolutely lovely staff who make my 101 year old mum feel good and who chat to her and take an interest in her past. She enjoys their visits.
The initial interviews were thorough and professional. They took the time to find out as much as they could about Mum's needs and what made her happy. They did a risk assessment and were able to make some suggestions regarding Mum's care, which was very helpful. The staff are kind and friendly. Some are more experienced than others but an effort is made to make sure that a new carer shadows an existing one. If there are any changes, we are informed quickly. An improvement would be to let us know in advance who will be caring for Mum, as we are required to give two weeks notice when requesting care.
This month I had a number of hospital appointments, also, I was still recovering from two hospital stays. One of the appointments was back to back. Home Instead always made sure that a carer accompanied me to every appointment. The last appointment of that month the hospital transport was delayed twice. The first time the excuse was they couldn't find the address. The second excuse was that they had broken down. By that time it was too late for me to attend the hospital. The carer, nonetheless, remained with me the whole time, calming me down in this stressful time.
All the carers who have come to help care for my mum have been fantastic. Not only have they been professional and competent for personal care but, most importantly, for me and my mum they have been genuinely caring. They have joined in with us like a family, looked at photos, told stories and we have felt really comfortable with them. 24-hour care was provided at short notice and even with a patchwork of carers, it has worked really well.
Home Instead have been caring for both my parents for over a year now, and I am always impressed with their professionalism, but also the genuine feeling of care and attention. The carers are very kind, and perform their role well, but also show a genuine interest in their wellbeing, and are happy to spend time talking and listening to them both which I really value. I am able to speak with management and staff by phone, or by email, and I find it so reassuring to know that I have support from them also as I live some distance away from my parents. It is also good to know that when I have a few days away that I can totally rely on everyone from Home Instead to do a wonderful job in my absence.
I look forward to the twice-weekly visits from my carer. After helping me to shower, she helps me with the ironing or changing the bed, and we have a nice chat. It gives me a positive start to the day.
Friendly, helpful, reassuring, trustworthy and reliable are the immediate words that come to mind. The care provided by Home Instead ensures that our friend is well looked after and also able to continue to live independently in her own home. Highly recommend Home Instead (Chingford).
A great team and provides excellent home care for the elderly. They work closely with the family to understand all that is required and persevere to help with more complex situations and needs. Communication and safety are very good and there is always someone to help and solve a problem.
Without Home Instead, I simply do not know what we would have done. They cared for my mother, who was challenging to say the least, with such care, tenderness and professionalism, whilst at the same time accommodating my father's wishes throughout. All of our interactions with them, whether with management, staff or the carers themselves were just wonderful. If I could give 10 stars I would!
Great service from the start, the carers helped relieve the stress of helping look after my mum, very professional and friendly. They all took care of and would relay any concerns they had back to the office and on to me. I couldn't ask for more.
My experience with Home lnstead was excellent! I would highly recommend their service. I was recovering from a major operation and I couldn't manage certain tasks like shopping and cleaning. They were a real help in my recovery both physically and mentally.
Home Instead has been wonderful from the word g - the management has and continues to accommodate my father’s ever-changing and sometimes challenging needs choosing and matching the care professionals to suit my dad's character. They also are always there for me and my husband when we need it, offering support emotionally and physically always professionally but in a friendly approachable way. The care professionals truly do care, their patience, kindness and compassion as well as their skills are outstanding and admirable. I would recommend Home Instead in a heartbeat, and I am and always will be eternally grateful to them.
I rate the care I receive as excellent and would recommend the service to anyone.
Home Instead have been professional and their caregivers have always been kind and helpful. My uncle looked forward to their visits. It was very useful to be advised that we could apply for a LPA for health and well-being while my uncle still had the capacity. This avoided a long application process after he lost capacity. This was very reassuring for both me and my uncle. I would definitely recommend Home Instead to anyone needing support with an elderly relative.
Home Instead has been excellent in the service they have provided over the last four years. They have accommodated our ever-changing needs efficiently. The caregivers and management have always been good and very helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I am a full-time carer for my 94-year-old mum. Mum, although able to live independently (in the house next door to us), needs support with meal times and medicine intake. We were recommended to Home Instead (Chingford) by the family of a fellow client, when the care arrangements for Mum while we went on holiday, were cancelled at the last minute. We were offered a home visit immediately and care was put into place for the week we were going to be away. The care team are fantastic, lovely, kind and considerate carers who looked after Mum with superb care and dignity. We received daily feedback after each visit, leaving us feeling reassured that Mum was well cared for while we were away. The management team are also outstanding, ensuring an excellent care plan for Mum was arranged, in order for us to continue with our holiday. We cannot thank Home Instead enough - without them our holiday would never have gone ahead. We had a great experience from a lovely team. Thank you!
We had a very good review, friendly and helpful, and felt like we got all we need and support for the future. Really happy. Services are really good, helpful and supportive.
We chose Home Instead because they offered the continuity of care we know would be important to gain our mother's confidence. They have always put our mother's primary care at the top of the list and we receive regular feedback from them of any issues arising. Their online tracking form has aided that further. The staff we have encountered are extremely professional and have implemented and undertaken all the requests we have made of them. They never involve staff without having introduced them first eg: holiday cover and they have a 100% attendance record which is commendable. Regular client reviews are held, which they manage to ensure the appropriate and specific level of care is being given and applied. The personal relationship the carers have developed with our mother has been pivotal in her acceptance to the point, she now looks forward to their visits.
Mum had been looked after by Home Instead (Chingford) for two and a half years. In the last few months before she had a number of falls and the care professionals could not have been kinder, staying with Mum until either I or the paramedics could get there. They also supported me when things were very difficult. I think I'd have gone mad without them.
